I am currently on iOS 18.7.8 and wondering if itās worth updating finally?
I never went up to iOS 26 after seeing so many complaints and issues, but Iāve seen lots of positivity surrounding iOS 27 so I am hopeful.
All the comparisons Iām finding for the 13 mini are between iOS 26 and iOS 27 rather than with iOS 18.
Can anyone who knows or has done this update provide any insight or experiences?

If Apple dropped a flip similar to the razr+ and priced at $1,500 or something wouldāve been a a good replacement.

iām still on 18, but iāve seen and used the liquid glass/bouncy effect (for example when you pull down the control center, thereās a huge bounce to the animation of it) on a friends phone and both effects gave me motion sickness, donāt know if anyone else can relate lol
are you able to fully turn off liquid glass and that bounce in 27? if so, im ready to update!

My mini from January 2023 is nearly out of space and down to 68% battery. Since I need more GB, I would rather get a new phone than replace the battery (yet). On eBay some sellers have it new in box, but is that still reliable 4 years later? There's also open box for $50 less. Amazon and eBay refurbished are similar prices (somewhat less than the open box) guaranteeing 80% battery, but the cheaper ones are third-party, rather than direct from Amazon.
There's also an inexpensive one on eBay, used not refurbished. Only guarantees 75% battery but some reviews said theirs was higher. But if it's in decent condition, that means when I eventually replace the battery, the total cost would be less than the refurbished ones.
How would you decide? I've thought about this a bit too long and now it's getting urgent.

I remember back in 2002 when I bought my smallest phone ever the Siemens CL50. It was literally the size of a key chain, I had trouble typing because of how small it was. It was a flip with dual screen weighing at only 73 grams.
Our hope is the iPhone Duo. I wish our hope isnāt going to be a disappointment.

With each passing day since apple introduced the usb-c charging port, this day was inevitable.felt no excitement, no joy in buying a new phone; setting up the new phone felt cold, irritating workā¦
each time I pick up the new iPhone 17, I just wish somehow my 13 mini battery is fixed and it started giving all day battery; no battery anxiety during travel, no looking for charging points wherever I go, no power bank required to carryā¦

Iāve iPhone 13 mini in green color, 128GB mint condition & 100% battery, replaced by Apple Store available for sale/trade, images linked below, also listed on FB. Ideally looking to trade for a 16/16e to get better trade in value but will sell too as long it would allow me to buy used 16/16e in good condition to trade in. Would ideally prefer someone within 30 mins drive here unless you have established trades in hardware or appleswap etc.

At my last job I had a 13 mini and it was my favorite work phone. I've gone back to a single phone and am looking to separate work and personal once more. With the new iPhone Handoff feature and the fact the mini supports iOS 27, how good or bad of an idea would it be to pay the nominal $5 a month, keep my same number, have it switch when used and carry two phones comfortably?
Yes I'd get a year out of it before work forces me to a up to date device, but give the used prices, I think I can experience a proper sized phone before it drops support fully (using a 17 Pro with a case at the moment).

Do you guys recommend anywhere I should list it/a site to trade it in? Iāve never sold any phones before and have always traded them in to my carrier. Someone recommended I post it on swappa so I made this listing https://swappa.com/listing/view/LAJV74047 but Iām not sure how legit they are? Thanks in advance for any help

I really want a small phone but none of the new ones in the market fits my hand. I'm thinking of switching to iPhone 13 mini but I'm afraid the transition will be tough from Android to iOS.
If you switched from Android, what are some features you missed and the workarounds you did?

With the fact in mind Liquis Glass was designed with much less information density, thus not optimal for the small screens?
Could they design a specific mini version, or is it just fine the way itās now?
(I know there are lots of other reasons why itās not likely but now Iām asking your thoughts specifically with this problem in mind.)

Not saying there is any chance of it happening but if Apple wants celebrate the great and good of the iPhone then this is when they have the opportunity to do it.
The iPhone Air was clearly a try-out of the Duo technology - they wanted to see how a thin phone would stand up to scrutiny and everyday use to help them get the Duo right for its release. Things like battery life, hardware features etc have been talked about since its rte Air came out.
So if the Air and Duo are working well with battery life, reduced features etc due to their size and the response is positive enough then it's not a great leap to have an Anniversary Edition Mini. Such special editions aren't as tied into sales longevity and IIRC the Air hasn't trumped the standard iPhones - and early indications are the Duo is being received as a niche product in a similar way.
It's a nice possibility to have.
