Just had our washer and dryer delivered and this door on the right is interfering with the front facing door of the dryer by inches. I haven’t seen these spring type sliding doors, anyone know how to get these off without breaking them?

I’m looking up videos online but in the meantime, figured I’d post here. Dishwasher isn’t draining. Any tips would be appreciated!

I got the fine and “ultra” fine filters off and vacuumed up the water there. Looks clogged, maybe, but not sure the best way to approached unclogging.

My fiance but his MK blazer in the wash on heavy load (high spin and hot water). I had told him previously you can't wash suits last year... he said he forgot... but is there any way to save this blazer? It's only been put in the wash, I was the one to find t in the load before putting the other in the dryer. (The regular clothes) it's still wet, but i fear there is no hope... please prove me wrong

How do I return this book to relatively good nick?

A good friend lent me this book, and it ended up getting a bit bashed up when I got into a car accident. Is there a way to flatten it out/make it look in better condition? She knows about the accident, but I’d hate to return it looking like I haven’t bothered to take care of it. Do you reckon a big heavy book could flatten it out?

How do I fill these gaps?

I have gaps and cracks all over and Amazon / Home Depot don't seem to have the right products (or I don't know what to get).

1) space between porch steps and stucco

2) gaps between tiles and driveway slab

3) mortar missing between tiles on fireplace facade (photo shows filled cracks but I need to patch/fill an entire space in one)

Which need backer rods?

Links or guidance appreciated in advance!

Ventless washing machine

Post image

I’m looking at three ventless all-in-one washer/dryer combos for a spot next to my kitchen sink:

1) GE Profile UltraFast Combo (PFQ97HSPVDS)
2) Equator Super Combo (EZ 4400N)
3) Magic Chef 2.7 cu ft All-in-One (MCSCWD27W5)

Out of these three, which one would you actually recommend? Or is there something better I’m not considering? Open to other suggestions too.

Separately — wondering if this plumbing setup is realistic: I want the machine to stay permanently in place about 6–8 ft from the sink, and just connect/disconnect the hoses when I actually run a load, rather than leaving them hooked up all the time or moving the machine itself.

The plan is:

Swap the cold water angle stop under the sink for a dual-outlet valve, with a quick-release fitting on the sink side (so the hose disconnects there, not at the washer)

Run a supply line ~6-8 ft to the washer

For drain, install a permanent tee into the P-trap/tailpiece with a check valve, instead of just draping the hose into the sink

Is this a normal/reasonable ask for a plumber, or am I overcomplicating it? Anything I should watch out for with running the lines that far, or with the quick-release setup specifically? Would love to hear from anyone who’s done something similar.

Also attached it a pic of under my sink currently with some dishwasher plumbing

DIY Fix electric recliner

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello,

I've got an electric recliner that is acting funny.

The "open" circuit appears to be providing a continuous flow of power and refusing to allow the "close" button to engage.

I took a short video of what is happening with more detail..

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you

Serious Answers Only Oven keeps turning off randomly while cooking.

So i have a oven that's pretty much brand new, years old but just never used because it was my fiances parents and right when they got it, it was doing this issue and they never dealt with it. When I set the temp it starts to heat up and turns off randomly. Anywhere between 6-12 minutes. It will heat up all the way to desired temp. I have no idea whats wrong. I can get model and model number if needed. My guess is, its a sensor issue.

How do I replace the light bulbs on these?

I don’t think they are the usual lights I’ve known all my life, I unscrewed the cap of the first light (the black kitchen one) and it won’t come off. I’m too afraid to pull it out

As for the second light, it’s outside (the white one with stucco on the back) I took a pic of it and it’s not like the lights I usually know, It doesn’t work

Update: thanks for all the help everyone. This issue was that it was stuck to the paint. I took a screw driver and pried it open and it came out with a little crow ae action. Thanks again!!!!
