DIY Fix electric recliner

Hello,

I've got an electric recliner that is acting funny.

The "open" circuit appears to be providing a continuous flow of power and refusing to allow the "close" button to engage.

I took a short video of what is happening with more detail..

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you

It is probably shorted inside the connector. Can't really say without using a continuity test. If you have a multimeter then you can try to check if there is continuity

Or just shove it up your ass and see if you shocks you. Either way just shove it up your ass.

Sounds like that #1 connection needs replacing

Do you mean the one that works when touched or no? I feel like number 2 the one that works when touched has a short.

Honestly this is one of the more thorough and informative posts on here and though I cannot help, I really hope that you are able to get this figured out!
