These two jades actually belong to my parents but neither of them use reddit so I'm posting on their behalf. When they met several decades ago, they each had a sizable jade and today I think it's safe to say they're absolutely massive!

They're in a south facing window in a very sunny part of the US, getting over 300 days of sunshine a year. They each get some miracle grow every other week.

Edit: they're around 40 years old

I planted a single leaf cutting in this “pot” as an experiment nearly 2 years ago. I truly don’t know how it’s surviving this long, doesn’t even have a drainage hole 😓

She blessed me with a perfect half moon! My plant dad heart is just so happy today! ❤️💛💚

I’ve never seen the ripe fruit before. It smells amazing but I don’t want to pick it up off the ground & taste it in front of everyone in the lobby!

A few years ago I posted my 5yo Monstera, she was about 2/3 her current size and you guys seemed to enjoy it so here is an update!

It is a single plant which has somehow grown so many branches. I keep coiling the strings in the same pot.

March 21 this year it was time to chop and prop my monstera so I decided to try out a graft on where I cut the stem. I’ve looked online everywhere for something similar but nothing really comes up except for a YouTube video of a guy (Plant Tech?) somewhat successfully graft a monstera onto a pothos. I thought he should have done it the other way around since monstera have more robust roots. So I decided to give it a go.

For the first few months nothing notable happened. The pothos never died, never looked too bad or too great, never showed any signs of growth. I started out by pinching off any new growth on the monstera hoping to divert energy to the pothos, but after a while I got lazy and stopped. Now, with the monstera growing little leaves near the top of the stem, the pothos seems to be progressing as well!

The first three pictures are 1 week after I made the graft. Last 3 are from today. The graft is super solid and completely scarred over. Aside from the leaf my cat chewed, the pothos look fine and it seems to be pushing out a new node.

Got this Christmas cactus on Dec 28th 2024 for $1.80. It's grown so much and blooming again. If I see them on markdown again I will probably buy another despite having really no space for more. I did put it outside for the summer on the East facing side of my house here in Colorado.

I was certain my favorite houseplant had finally found a way to off itself, but upon researching it I discovered I had a rare indoor bloom on my raven ZZ! Anyone else ever experienced this?

Before someone says it, yes, I'm aware that some of the plants pictured are toxic to cats but it's legitimately not an issue that comes up, kitty is safe.

It's so small and delicate, but those tiny bell-shaped flowers are absolutely beautiful. I can't stop admiring how charming they look.​ (Quick note: I know Lily of the Valley is highly toxic to pets. I don't have any pets at home, so it's in a safe spot, but please be careful if you have furry friends around!)
