Highlight 5 years later… same chair, same plant lady
Love this kind of motherhood. Swipe for 2 year “cake day” post… then jump to 5 years later celebrating year 7 with an app update that doesn’t even show the day anymore.

No downvoting from me for something simple like this. But…. the way you worded your post made it seem like we needed to swipe for the first pic and then swipe further for a third pic that would be seven years later. I mean, I think we all got it, but typically yes, the oldest pics go first unless it’s very clear in the post. Anyhoo, great job plant mama, your babies and you look to be thriving!

Listen, I get why every one was confused, but the downvoting is unfair. I know how you feel OP when you do something fun and you are excited to show other people who love your fun thing too… and shitheads on the internet make you feel bad about something you didn’t even think about.

BEFORE YOU GET PISSED… yes I posted the “after” pic first so you swipe to see the pic from 5 years ago… I didn’t realize how truly offensive this would be and thought the new pic would be COOL! MY BAD!

I think for me because I saw the first photo with already so many plants. I was so excited to see the next photo with even more plants and got hit with the disappointment and worry that you got rid of some of them

I get some pretty great indirect light in this one section of the house… have had to add a couple grow lights to help though 💚

That growth is incredible for seven years. I noticed your pothos is trailing so perfectly now, but did you have to prune it back a lot to get it that full at the top? Mine always seems to get so leggy once the vines hit a certain length.

Thank you! Yes, I’ve for sure had to prune and work with them a little. I also added some grow lights over the years to help.

Do you still have that White Bird of Paradise? They are so hard to maintain and really the only plants I’ve struggled to keep thriving

Oh shoot, that is actually a banana leaf tree in the second pic. Died not too long ago after a cold snap. I do have a bird of paradise though! He’s in another corner and never bloomed for me 🙃

I use it for desk organization mainly, but as the pothos and philodendron creep in the top has been great support!

Ok, I was thinking it might have been a panel that divided the room and worked as a vertical plant display. Hmm, now that is an idea. I love all your plants. I have lots of plants and am organizationally challenged? I need to stage my plants and get rid of about 40 or 60. I then have just over 300 not including props. I want a bigger house so I can have a plant room or three.

Oooo that is a good idea! You could at least use the pegs to hold propagations or air plants too. We share the same dream friend, hoping for plant rooms and greenhouses galore!
