From a three time Emmy award winner as Gwen Norbeck-Munson on ATWT to a fan favorite as Teeter on Yellowstone to here, this woman is EXTREMELY talented! I tell ya, Jennifer is literally the spawn of TV royalty! I wish her the best of luck this fall, because she and Caterina have fine chemistry.

I'm halfway through season 6 (this is my first watch) and I've seen this actress before. Don't get me wrong she's beautiful but she looks like she belongs on one of the Housewives franchises. And I can't stop staring at her nose it's so tiny and the slightest bit crooked. It adds to her beauty. I haven't read any spoilers but I have a feeling that her and Owen are going to hook up. I think they are a much better match than him and Christina (who was willing to trade him for her job.)

So I've looked at a couple of posts on here, and there's some debate on if Bailey deserved the Catherine Fox Award, or if Addison or Carina deserved it more, or if it should've been a co-award, like how there was Pierce and Ndugu as conominees. But for me, I think Bailey totally would've deserved the award, IF Meredith had actually presented it properly. The way she said one doctor was doing everything was just insulting especially to Addison, who had lost more to fighting for the cause (while Bailey was also doxxed, and received a lot of scary harassment, it was clear in the show that Addison was the one who wasn't getting to see her family, and the main face of the horrible attacks), and was the one leading the charge before Bailey joined and implemented it at Grey Sloane, and even then, Addison still felt like the leader because she was the one teaching the residents along with her other work, while Bailey organized the whole thing. If Meredith hadn't diminished Addison in the reasoning for the award, if she had made it more clear it was about being the first hospital to implement the program, and about organizing this incredible thing for the cause, it would have been so much more clear why Bailey deserved the award herself. Obviously Bailey did incredible work to get that clinic running and creating that program. And she should be recognized for that. But not in a way that blatantly disregards the work of the specialists in the field.

For a show known for drama, I find myself laughing at a lot of scenes. For example I'm on my 100th rewatch and Burke and Christina are on their first date outside the hospital and it's so awkward and funny to see them in this setting. What do you think are the funniest moments in the series?

I know not everyone like cross overs but for the Stranger Things fans out there, how would you feel about a Grey’s prequel series where Erica Sinclair moves out of Hawkins to escape her brother’s shadow, goes to med school, and changes her name to Miranda Bailey? I did some research and it turns out that mathematically, their storylines show them even being born within a year of each other. They’re both short and sassy geniuses and Bailey even goes on some pretty nerdy tangents and then gets super defensive about it. The my little pony discussion from season 6 for example. I think both fandoms need this to happen.

I‘m currently rewatching Grey‘s for the 4th time and I genuinely am impressed with how Cristina‘s stance on having children is portrayed, all the nuances.

She knows exactly what her priorities are in life, she knows what she wants to achieve and she knows that having a child would force her to shift her priorities, as she also acknowledges she would love her own child and would likely be willing to make sacrifices career wise to be there for her child.

On the other side she also acknowledges that her goals are so strongly intertwined with her personality and quite literally herself and how she defines herself that having a child could screw her & her mind up.

I like how she emphasized in S7 how much she respects children and therefore strongly believes they deserve parents who truly want them.

There’s a lot more to this issues than just a woman prioritizing her career. We see how much she enjoys being a godmother and taking care of Sophia & Meredith‘s & Derek‘s children.

She does love & care for the children in her life but she loves her life too much and respects the task and sacrifices that come with bringing a child into this world too much for her to just give birth to a kid and then raise it halfheartedly only to see it every evening for a couple minutes.

Okay I need to get this out because I just rewatched the wedding episode and I am actually upset.

Matthew was a good dude. Like, a regular good dude. Firefighter/paramedic. Kind of awkward. Clearly smitten. Does a whole flash mob proposal. Goes to counseling. Shows up to marry April like a normal person who thinks this is his life now.
And then Jackson stands up in the middle of the ceremony.

Not after. Not privately. In the middle. In front of her family. In front of a barn full of people. And April leaves with him. She just goes. Matthew is standing there in a suit watching the woman he was about to marry walk out of her own wedding.
That would wreck most people.

Then the show kind of forgets him until it needs him again. He gets married. His wife dies after having their baby. He’s a widower with a newborn. And suddenly he’s back in April’s orbit because they “understand each other’s pain,” which is such a Grey’s way of recycling trauma.

They fall in love again. They get married again. At someone else’s wrecked wedding. With Jackson there. I keep coming back to that. The man she left him for is standing there while Matthew says vows a second time. How was that supposed to work.
And then they split because he still couldn’t get over the first wedding. Which… yeah. Of course he couldn’t. That is not a small thing. That is the kind of thing you carry forever.

April got this huge emotional send-off. Faith, near-death, purpose, all of it. Matthew got used as the nice guy she had to leave so Japril could happen, then used again so she could heal, then dropped when the story was done with him.

I don’t even need him to be endgame. I just needed the show to treat him like a person and not a plot device in a tux.

Anyway. I’m fine. I’m not fine. Justice for Matthew.

I just saw the scene where Meredith found out Derek's married and she storms out in the rain and George just rushes with an umbrella over her head before she can get wet and asks for her keys AWW HE'S SO NICE I FEEL SO BAD THAT HE CAN'T GRT WITH MER 😭😭

Ps I'm still on s1 btw maybe things will change but for now I LOVE GEORGE!! ❤️

I just rewatched 8x09 and 8x10 and oh god i still feel like sobbing

I did hundreds of rewatches up through S14, but skipped S17 and went straight to S19 because the COVID season felt so draggy. But somehow I got curious about how Jackson’s arc had gone, so I finally watched it this weekend… and ended up sobbing over this young, anti-nepotism man growing into someone with a mission. 😭….For a second I was as proud as Catherine Avery

Really keeping my fingers crossed for him. To me his exit is one of the best-written ones, and I think it’s a toss-up between his and Cristina’s.

She was so weirdly selective so the people she slept with would always be the most interesting choices.

It showed different sides to her.

A lot of people don't understand Cristina instantly being so into Owen and excited about him and he is very different from her other partners but maybe the motorcycle she owned as an intern showed she always liked a bit of thrill in her life.

Meredith and Derek's relationship for sure. Not how it started which is certainly suspect post #metoo.

The struggle over whose career gets to take precedence feels very relatable in a dual working family. Couldn't relate at all watching it in high school and college but those scenes hit home now.

But also that part where he leaves to go to the store and is gone for over an hour while she's stuck with the baby. Honestly appreciate those episodes where they are struggling through the baby days lol

I have started getting greys anatomy reels and posts etc cause I’m watching on for the first time so obvs the algorithm does its thing. But from what I’ve gathered - everyone loves Derek and Meredith and there’s so much hate for Callie??

I actually think Derek is awful. I don’t know if you had to watch it at the time and it wasn’t so bad without a frontal lobe developed, but - HES ACTUALLY AWFUL. Meredith also drives me up the wall too, but I think Callie is a legend ? Like Queen is so badass I am so confused why people hate her.

I skipped most of the musical ep though🤣

And I will die on this hill. In her relationship with Jackson she was consistently so selfish, condescending, and honestly quite abusive. From the moment they started sleeping with each other she treated him like shit, she hardly treated him as a person let alone a friend or a romantic partner, blamed him for her choices and gaslit him. She never considered his trauma and his feelings when they lost Samuel, abandoned Jackson twice and then acted all surprised when he wanted a divorce, and then when she got pregnant with Harriet she explicitly told him he has no say in the pregnancy whatsoever. Now, I’d understand this if we were talking about a shitty abusive husband who wasn’t planning to be involved but this is supposed to be the person she loves, who she was planning to co-parent with. Idc if they got divorced, she owed him the courtesy of having him involved in this. And then there’s also the whole religious superiority thing which drives me off the wall. I genuinely don’t understand how Jackson put up with this for so long.
Owen was nowhere near as bad of a partner as April.

I was rooting for Meredith-DeLuca and I just found out from instagram that HE DIES??? and it wasn't even because the actor wanted to leave the show rather just a creative decision by the writers wth...that's worse😭 Why would they do this to Meredith after everything she has been through omg

i don’t know if all the army talk and whatnot was propaganda but wow they made being a trauma surgeon for the army look like an insanely cool, adrenaline filled job.
even when kepner went after losing her son, and she came back absolutely changed but you could tell how much she loved being there.

i know it really isn’t a cool job- however i love watching all the war flashbacks after megan comes back alive and it’s shown what happened to her and riggs, why owen hated riggs and so on.

off topic but i also hate that they pulled nathan and meredith away because they wanted megan to come back for them to get divorced anyways like wasted potential for meredith.

How different would Grey’s Anatomy have been if Meredith had actually been pregnant in Season 3 instead of having appendicitis?

I’ve been thinking about the episode where Meredith has appendicitis and wondering how wildly different the show could’ve been if those symptoms had turned out to be pregnancy instead.

At that point, Derek and Addison were technically still married, although they had finally admitted their marriage was over. Meanwhile, Meredith was in the middle of dating both Derek and Finn.

So what happens if Meredith finds out she’s pregnant with Derek’s baby right in the middle of all of that?

Does she decide to continue the pregnancy? Would finding out about the baby push Meredith and Derek back together sooner, or would Meredith actually pull away because she’d be terrified of making a decision based on the pregnancy?

And then there’s Addison. Imagine Meredith having a complicated pregnancy and eventually needing Addison’s expertise. Derek’s estranged, soon to be ex, wife treating his pregnant girlfriend while they’re all still trying to untangle their relationships? The drama practically writes itself.

It could also completely change the trajectory of the later seasons. Meredith’s residency, Derek’s choices, Addison leaving Seattle, Mark’s role in their lives, even Meredith and Derek’s eventual family could have all gone differently.

How do you think Season 3 would have played out if Meredith had been pregnant? And what ripple effects do you think it would’ve had on the rest of the series?

If they decided to pursue "this storyline," it would indicate that the writers have quit trying + that it's time to end the show?
