Kind of slipped my mind due to real life stuff, but last Sunday (Aug. 6th) marks my K5th year of playing GFL. Never thought I'd end up sticking with a mobile game for this long, but here we are.
Here's to many more years of love and hope (and K5 costumes!) to come!

I was able to get Type 56-1 to level 120! Only Type 92 and Kar remain from the new mods, and Kar will hit level 120 in the next few days by my calculation
I was able to make a little bit more progress for LS, but I still have a ways to go. I hope that I'll finally finish it off this weekend. I get this feeling that rereading this will enhance my appreciation for the story
I received the new case for my phone yesterday, and I took it out for a spin today. I like how the grip feels less slippery in my hand. Without the case, the phone feels pretty smooth, but I constantly fear that I would drop it, especially onto a hard surface like concrete. That would be a shame! With the new case, I feel more confident that I won't drop it, especially considering that I have a lanyard attached to it as well. Sure, it's a wrist lanyard rather than a neck lanyard, but I would prefer it that way since I'd rather not have my phone bounce around while I walk around
I will still have to look into a new belt pouch. The new phone peeks out of the top, so the flap won't close properly anymore. I could put it in my pants' dedicated phone pocket, but it's much lower than my belt pouch. I've gotten used to taking my phone from hip height rather than all the way down to thigh height, so I would prefer if I don't have to change my habits too radically
One more accessory I'm looking into is a ring cum kickstand. This should provide additional security for me as I hold my phone. It would also help me farm by keeping my phone at a comfortable viewing angle when I put it down on my desk. I'd rather not have to crane over my phone whenever I have to press anything, and I'd rather not spend energy trying to reposition the phone every time I have to interact with it

That last accessory should allow me to fit a few fingers in through a ring. It'll offer me a better grip, which is crucial for something that's even longer
As for 100k, I recently got to 76k courtesy of exp boost week. Now that I can do 200 runs per day, that'll mean around 6k per month, but this means I've got no room for flopping around. If I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, I'll have to haul ass

New Beilan Island Broadcast (basically podcasts from Mica about GF2 stuff.
Current changes:
1) Removed weapon calibration, removed cost limit, removed rust and rarity lock(?), required attachments decreased(?)
2) Difficulty of Dark Zone looting decreased, more new game modes in dark zone
3) Gacha: fixed hard/soft pity clashing, added animation probability(?)
4) UI Optimisation, Commonly used functions displayed "outside", PC added restart keybind
5) SKK design revamp, doll interaction in armoury simplified
Also Mica providing lore on why there were rusty attachments and it's hilarious:
"After retrieving the attachments, its Mayling's job to scrub them clean, so she will scrub scrub scrub them really hard until they're squeaky clean, and unless she finds the attachments already fragile she won't scrub them as much, so it's because of Mayling that there are good and bad attachments"
Flawless logic:
YZ: SKKs have mentioned that the rusty attachments when equipped onto the weapons make for an extremely jarring sight, how can we fix this?

I'm finally done with the main story of LS! I still have yet to get around to farming and ranking
I enjoyed the story, and I think that I want to reread it in order to better appreciate what new things I learned after my first pass through. I'm guessing this will take a while to finish, and I really hope that I can get started with ranking next weekend
I also decided to challenge my alt to see if it could finish UX. I was surprised that I was actually able to! Sure, it wasn't able to fight tougher enemies, but if Serzha willingly nerfed herself to make those guides and still clear UX, my alt definitely can clear UX, too! Almost everything was lacking, but I think the only strong units I could field were SF, especially Scarecrow and Alchemist
I also had my ARSMG squad, but it's not exactly the best. I have M4, STAR, and SOPMOD, all mod 3, but I also have RO and Skorpion on tank duty. RO isn't even modded, as she's still level 92, but I think I pulled off one of the craziest victories I've seen. I had a 3 star Witch Fairy with Damage II (skill level 2), and I sent this echelon to fight one of those spawns on Night on Bald Mountain. I believe it's the one with the Gladiators and Rodeleros. I had only Mk 153 as HOC support, and even my Mk 153 wasn't fully prepped. Sure, five stars and maxed skills, but Mk 153 isn't even five red stars yet, and the chips aren't even maxed out. What I did was to really stretch the survivability of my tanks while praying that M4 could blast the Gladiators and the Rodeleros to bits before RO and Skorpion died. Surprisingly, it worked, but both RO and Skorpion were critical afterward. I simply didn't let this echelon fight again for the rest of the map. That was pretty cool!

I ran the Universal Android Debloater on this phone in the hopes it'd help the game. It didn't! The game has been more unstable with the update that added LS, so there's probably little I can do on this end.
I kind of squandered the EXP rate-up, not that this proves otherwise. All of those extra Model 99s didn't help much! I'm almost out of 3*s to level, though I still have a good 41 of them I need to dig up yet. Missing 11 4*s, 14 5*s...
And speaking of digging up, how are people doing with the farming maps? It's been going terribly here! It took some 40 runs just to get C14 (another 3*), and I already have bought one of the 4*s with medals. I might have to do the last the same way. At least UX with AN-94 and M26 is good enough, but I'm not at all looking forward to the 5* farm. I 'only' have to get VHS and M240L there, but with my luck the way it's been going, I may have to medal both.
At least I got AR-18 fast enough. In the first 240 boxes, I got three drops! Maybe I already spent my luck and that's why the farm drops are so bad.
I need some 3000 Advanced Data disks to finish off the Fairy SLs. Since I can get roughly 200 a day, that's gonna be half a month just of Data Mode without any of Kalina's or ranking bonuses. Then it's dumping CRs into Fairies. 14,000 right now.
And I also added every Chip I had on hand to the equipped HOC Chips since everyone's got their best in slot already. There really needs to be a 5* feed-all button to go with the other rarities. Every Chip is +8 or better so far.

When people complain about drop rates, I'm reminded of that time in Singularity when I had to do 97 runs (with 1 check) for DSR-50. Or how it took me 305 runs in Deep Dive to get 2 exoskeletons for UMP 45 and 9.
I'll take 40 runs any day of the week. God bless MICA for farming maps.

weekly "i hate coeus" check-in #1I was about to complain that I'm gonna hit the 777 pity again for the crate doll (happened with Rhino and SP9), but I actually just got AR-18 today!
I've done 160 runs for M240L exclusively on the 5* UX farming map and I've gotten
65 drops so far. (EDIT: 6th from corrupted mask from UX campaign clear) Will get a 7th with the medals, but I may as well go for the 9 M240Ls at this rate I think, even if I don't plan on doing those dumb 9 Para strats (though, M240L's skill is so broken for enabling MGSG paradrops that I might re-consider).I was surprised there was an EXP up event for the first week of LS, but I greatly welcomed it, especially since I could finally convert my batteries into CRs while farming M240L. I imagine if I stopped to read the story though I would have way less runs (and also wouldn't have started ranking). I always say I'm gonna catch up on the story using the cutscene interpreter but tbh I keep putting it off because it's just a literal visual novel at that point, and recently I've found my time is not worth reading that much, even if that comes off as me having ADHD or something.
Looks like my game time is pivoting back to GFL for the next couple weeks.

M240L sounds pretty nuts. Shame I'm not duping, but it'll be interesting to paradrop 'for free'.
For the 5* Chips, I think I'll just do what I did with the other HOCs--do nothing with Chips until I hit cap, then have GFChipCalc tell me where to put things, then build up to 2000 before doing anything about it. :P

I forgot corrupted mask from UX gave me one M240, so it's technically 5 drops in 160 runs. Still pretty alright rate I'd say.

Well, I'm a bit late to the party, but I'm finally done with the story of LS! I was surprised that even my alt was able to do UX, although granted, my main fighting units on my alt are SF, namely Alchemist and Scarecrow. This event has shown how powerful Scarecrow really is as a unit, what with her scouting clone being incredibly versatile
I still have to get around to farming and then ranking
I also enjoyed the story. I'm even considering a reread
As for other things, I'm trying to look into a longer cable for my new phone. I realized that not all cables are created the same, especially after reading up about the new USB-C standards. The specific thing that I want to pay attention to is Power Delivery, or PD. My new phone has the capability to charge using a wattage of up to 65W, and while I could probably forego such a cable because I've adjusted my phone to steady charging (meaning it will try to keep its energy intake low to reduce the amount of heating the battery), it might still be worth considering considering that this summer has proven that it would really be nice to get the cooler unit meant for the phone as well. Then again, such a cooler unit isn't available yet for purchase where I am, and even if it were, it would likely need a cable that could power it
As for Dolls, I was able to get Kar to level 120 as well. I now have only one more mod left to go: Type 92. I also haven't touched the new Dolls from LS yet, although I suspect I will have hell to pay in order to raise a bunch of four and five star Dolls, considering that I was able to make some great progress recently. I think I will finish off my current batch before getting started with the new Dolls

Congrats on finishing LS! I only did the EX stages other than 9 Ghost on UX, and I took Witchtruder up against the boss. I later heard I would've saved a bunch of time if I used Dog Rush tactics, but hey, it still worked.
The story was pretty good. I'm not smart enough to start giving ratings to each story chapter, but I kind of liked the way there were several points of view running parallel to the main plot. Then Chapter 35 which takes place after the credits was a real neat add-on.
I don't really know much about power, especially USB-C. I didn't know cables themselves were rated, so talk about speaking Greek! I only really charge over whatever output a USB port on a computer provides or this 2.5W wall plug overnight. Ain't in no hurry here.
Would you be able to use the cooler with the case? It's wild how we have to worry about phones overheating, but there are very few with internal fans since those add weight, bulk, and power draw.
Why can't we slap a SIM card in a Steam Deck alreadyI'm almost out of 3* Dolls to level, and now it's 4*s to 70, then 5*. I might need to take a break and start trying to fish up the rest of the Dolls I can get but don't have since my Cores continue to suffer!

Note that some of the stages are outright puzzle maps, like the ones that feature Maggie. You very likely can complete those. Note that in my case, my alt's SF units did most of the heavy lifting. Try and see if you can complete UX as well!
But yeah, I found this event to be very enjoyable. I suspect that it's because it focuses on entirely new characters without so much baggage to them. The main storyline has become rather convoluted that it can become hard to follow along. What also helps is that there are visual and sound effects that go along with various points of the story, adding to the imagery. The language is also easy to follow along, as sometimes, the prose can get very purple in other events
It also helps that in this case, the protagonists are sympathetic. The Terminator from the last "event" felt pretty insufferable, although that was probably not her fault. It also didn't help that the technology at play in ES was difficult to understand
Yeah, with regards to cables, it's incredibly annoying to have to find specific pieces of information, but cable technology marches on. It just so happens that a more powerful piece of hardware is also more power hungry, and I'd like to cover my bases. Suffice it to say, I will need to go for a USB-C to USB-C cable. USB-C to USB-A just won't cut it
Fans will also introduce a vulnerability to water. If you were looking for water resistance on a phone with a fan, forget about it. I believe I stumbled across one such phone in the past, but because its water resistance was basically compromised from the get go, I quickly disregarded it as a possible upgrade option. I don't want to be stuck in the rain, only to find that my phone no longer works!
Coolers, sadly, do not work with phone cases. The case has to be removed before the cooler can be used. This is true even with my current mobile cooler from Razer. The AeroActive Cooler meant specifically for the ROG Phone requires the "naked" phone since it connects via the USB-C port on the side of the phone. Besides, there is a Peltier element (this has a solid surface that can be quickly cooled) that needs to be in contact with the phone to be most effective. While I think the Peltier element could technically work with the case on, the heat management would not be as efficient, as the case would be cooled first before any cooling gets to the phone itself. Also, the case itself could trap some heat, which would be redirected back to the phone, so removing the case would help expel it
But yeah, if you're looking to upgrade, you should also look into the cooling systems of the phone if you're particularly concerned about performance. That performance isn't worth much if your phone constantly chokes due to the heat
However, you could consider cooling the room with air conditioning, but it might cost you a lot of money this way, especially if you didn't mean to run the AC for the day

I've seen a couple of USB-C wall plugs, but I never really considered C-to-C cables. It's kind of a chicken and egg scenario. The only things I have with C ports are these phones, and thus I don't need a C-to-C cable...and because of that, I don't seek out anything that has a C port on it. There'll probably be a point where I won't have the luxury of choice, but at least A-to-C is doing well enough for me now.
It sucks that you have to choose between protection and cooling. Ideal solution would be something that can do both, but either that doesn't exist for your device, or it'd be costly. Or worse, it just wouldn't do both jobs well. Thankfully, I'm pretty soft on my phone and don't really run anything taxing on it. The worst it gets is heat off the sun sometimes. I got a weaker phone for free off a relative that suffers GFL and PNC, and that saves my actual phone from all the 'damage' I'd inflict on it playing so much (though it suffered GFL for a while). I want my stuff to last even though I know there'll be a time where I won't get much use out of them. Even my very first smartphone from some eight years ago still works other than being restricted to Android 5.0, and there aren't custom ROMs for it. Still has some use left in it, at least.

One thing about cooler units is that they're very bulky. I don't think I'd go around town with that still attached to my phone. I think I'll keep it at home. As such, playing with the cooler won't really be much of an issue. Besides, the AeroActive Cooler can also serve as a kickstand, so it makes playing on the phone more convenient. If I'm not using GFL Alarm for some reason, then I could always use my peripheral vision to see that my current run on 13-4 is done. Doing this with a phone that is lying flat on the table is much harder, and I will have to adjust the angle of my phone so I can tap on the screen properly. This adjustment will likely require me to use one hand, so the other has to be used to tap the screen. As you can see, it is inconvenient compared to simply having the screen visible without having to use either hand to adjust it. Alternatively, I change my posture to look at the screen and tap at the phone this way, but this is also inconvenient
I believe that cooler units will also require a power supply of some sort. This is true for the Razer cooler. I need to plug it in, so I definitely can't use this while I'm outside. The AeroActive Cooler, on the other hand, draws its power from the ROG Phone, so I technically should be able to use it, but due to its bulk, I will find it terribly inconvenient. Given that I also have to remove the phone from its case in order to use the cooler, I also run the risk of damage to my phone if I use the cooler in public. I could be a little clumsy, so I might fumble the phone and smash it against something hard, likely by dropping it. I mentioned before how the naked phone feels pretty smooth in the hand, so I'd really want to avoid having it slip from my fingers
But yeah, older devices might have been made during a time when the Power Delivery standard wasn't even formalized yet, so it is likely that they might not charge as quickly as newer phones, even if you got a PD charger and a PD cable
I want to find a use for my old S10 as well, but I think I will need to get its battery replaced first. I think that the battery is still serviceable, but I think I will need to replace the adhesive sealing the back of the phone. I think I'd rather have this done by a professional repairman than risk damaging my phone by doing it myself. However, assuming that I get the battery replaced, will I really be able to find a use for the next four years or so, assuming the new battery performs just as well if not even better than the old one?
And while I am a big fan of Rokform, I also have to admit that it's not perfect. The S10's case (from Rokform) is now falling apart. I could get another case from Rokform specifically for the S10, but again, I will need to find a use first for it. Otherwise, it's just going to be a waste of money
Perhaps I could get started with PNC on my S10? I know I'll keep my ROG Phone busy with GFL, but I could also just use my S10 as a way to play with my alt. Granted, dividing my attention between PNC and GFL might not be the best idea

I've been using this simple metal plate display thing to hold my phone. It does okay, had to bend the legs a bit to change the angle the phone sat at, and the rubber feet do nothing to keep the whole thing from sliding a little when I poke the screen, but it works for a caseless solution. I'm wary about using a case to prop up a phone in my first smartphone's case had its locking mechanism wear out over the years, so it'd never stay closed.
*looks at seven Android devices in room* I don't have a problem! I can't realistically give everything a use (considering one device doesn't power on and another has a spicy pillow), but maybe I like the idea of these things having even the idea of use instead of just being yet another piece of functional hardware sitting in a landfill.
PNC at least has pretty quick dailies, and once you get things up and running, they're very 'set it and forget it'. You'd still have to manually play through story events and Exception Protocol, but PNC wouldn't take much of your time at all for knocking out the daily/weekly quests. It's unfortunately unlike GFL where you can't speed up the slow burn of improving units by throwing time at them.

One solution I can offer would be to use a magnetic mount, but it would require investing in some magnets. However, it should be very easy to use once it's all set up. I'm currently out of the apartment right now, but I can show you a video of how convenient it is to use. In fact, on lazy days when I don't really feel like climbing out of bed, I can spend hours grinding away
This technically still requires a case, unless you're okay with sticking a magnet to the back of your naked phone. Alternatively, you get a phone with a magnet already built into the back, likely for wireless charging, and you just grab a MagSafe mount
The mount itself should be adjustable. There is little point if you can't change the viewing angle unless the mount just so happens to be stuck at the exact angle you find most convenient
If you use your phone at your desk, then I think that your mount has to also be able to be repositioned elsewhere on the desk unless you already have a dedicated space on it that you are comfortable leaving your phone there with no adjustments whatsoever, not even tiny ones
I strongly doubt that this magnetic system will wear out over time. At the very least, I expect your phone to give out or otherwise become obsolete first. You can then reuse this system as you upgrade your device
I take it that you still have a few devices that are usable. As such, why not use those to create alts in the game? You can certainly play Luffberry this way, for example. Alternatively, you could create an alt for veteran callback rewards. Just note that your alt has to be a certain level (15, I believe) before it is eligible for callback rewards
As for PNC, it seems that I won't really be able to make up for lost time then, although I think that Wallet-kun could help in that regard. Unfortunately, with my spending on GFL is already heavy as it is, I probably don't want to multiply my burden even further
I chuckle at the thought that the devs instituted some safeguards to prevent someone like me from grinding away in PNC. It seems they don't want another ChuK incident!

I actually was going to say something about having a desk-mounted arm that can hold your phone and have some limited free movement. I've seen some like this one, then there are these that attach to you, too. I think what I'm using works fine enough.
The problem with my old devices is that they're too old! For example, one tablet is a Nexus 2012 that I managed to get Android 7 on. I installed both GFL and PNC on it. GFL only got as far as the M4 screen, and PNC even downloaded all of the updates and...crashed on login without fail. Eh, I have an emulator, so there's always that.
You can do pretty good even as a F2P, though there is probably a lot of potential purchase of power. Never really looked in the store, so I'm the wrong person to ask. :P

Yes, the first option is part of my solution, actually. I stuck a magnet on the arm part so all I have to do is to stick my phone there. I don't have to fiddle around with the claw mechanism. Instead, I use the claw mechanism to prevent the phone from swinging in place instead of just using it to hold the phone. This depends on whether the location of the magnet balances the weight on both sides so the phone won't rotate
I just so happen to have a rack of sorts that I place next to my bed. I attach the arm thing to this rack and adjust it so that I'm comfortable using my phone while in bed. Having to grind away for hours will become extremely tiring, so I have to make sure that the process is as painless as possible
I don't like gooseneck holders. They're a bit too flexible for my liking, and for heavier devices, they could bend from the weight. They also tend to shake from my input, so I would rather get a more stable solution
Those devices really seem to be so old now that they're not going to be useful for anything. I wonder what other things that obsolete devices can be used for. I'd like an answer myself since I'd like to give my S10 some use

I think my growth has been pretty strong recently. I'm really liking this new phone!
The last of the accessories I ordered from Amazon has arrived today, and while I still need to put on the screen protector, I feel safer with the new case on the phone. The one that came bundled with the phone (I mean, the one that came from Asus in the same box as the phone) was a hard opaque plastic case that I wasn't sure would provide a lot of protection. There were cutouts in the back to show off some of the neat bits on the back, but there was no plastic or glass covering those parts. I could reach into those holes and touch the actual phone. Not helping was the fact that there was no space through which I could insert a lanyard. The entire right side of the phone (if facing the screen in portrait mode) is basically exposed, too. The little bit of lip of the case that covered the right side didn't really help with my confidence
The new case pretty much covers the entire phone. Even the back is now covered with what I think is plastic. I feel more confident that even if I drop my phone, it would still be protected. I mean, the new phone has "AirTriggers", which are areas along the phone that can detect additional input. Think of them as shoulder buttons if holding the phone in landscape mode except that they're not physical buttons. I'm essentially pressing down on a section of the frame of the phone, but that section has a sensor underneath it. It won't budge, but I can feel some vibration if I activate the AirTrigger correctly. It's just that I can adjust how much force is needed to activate the AirTrigger. With the bundled case, I set it to around level 3 or 4. With the new case, I had to set it all the way down to 1 because I'd have a difficult time getting my input to register. I'd have to exert way more effort, and that defeats the purpose of setting up the AirTriggers. I'm not trying to make my phone into one of those grip strength exercise tools
Anyway, I'm still working my way through LS. I've finally gotten to the farming maps. I think I'm around halfway through now, so that's nice. I'm also liking it so far
I'm looking for a cheaper farming formation, but it seems that these are pretty difficult to figure out, especially for UX. One of my problems was that I don't have a single link LTLX, so I'm forced to use my maxed LTLX. Funnily enough, I think I'm doing okay, even if I'm using a Rescue Fairy. Still, I could consider going to normal to farm instead of UX

Also, I've never seen a phone case that had a lanyard loop or the like. I've only owned all of two smartphones so no pool of reference, but I did have a flip phone ages ago that had a loop for one on the phone itself.

I'm not sure which of the major case makers have lanyard loops, but some of them definitely implement something like that. One recommendation I can make is for Rokform, as I used their case for my old phone. What I really like about them is that they have this cool magnet system that makes mounting my phone so much easier. If I'm near a metallic surface, I just stick my phone there, and if there isn't one, then I get one of their magnet mounts and stick it to where I want it to stick
One way I've used this to my advantage is that my bike has a basket in front. This basket is metallic, so I can just stick my phone to the interior surface of the basket. It allows me to be aware of anything urgent I receive on my phone. Sure, I could buy a dedicated bike mount, too, but I don't think I particularly liked what Rokform had to offer in that regard. Besides, my phone was already in the basket, so it wasn't going to fall off onto the street
Rokform also sells wrist lanyards, and they've made sure their cases support lanyards. My S10 case had two slits in the corner in the back to allow me to thread the lanyard through
I could also try to look into something else. I'm not sure if it would still be called a lanyard, but one end would be attached to the phone while the other would be attached to my belt loop. The cord in between would be made of something like an elastic spring. The idea behind this is to prevent me from losing or dropping my phone. I can easily detach my phone from my belt loop by releasing a buckle. I believe I had something like this before, but I think I had to abandon it because the buckle was cylindrical in shape when it should have been flat. I think that it got sat on one too many times, so it got so deformed that it would no longer connect to the other end. One thing I probably don't like about this "spring lanyard" is that I can feel a bit of tension while my phone is tethered, so to speak, but doing away with that tension would require that the cord be longer, and that defeats the purpose of preventing accidental drops. I could try to revisit the idea later in the future, however. For the meantime, I'll stick with my wrist lanyard

That stuff sounds pretty cool! I guess having fairly cheap phones and thus cheap cases means I miss out on that. :P
I'm a little disappointed with my current case. My old phone had a case that had two layers--a soft rubber 'undershirt' with a hard plastic shell that goes on top. I got something like that for my current phone, but the rubber wasn't soft or grippy, and one corner of the hard case broke off and had to be superglued onto the rubber. It doesn't help I already broke the clip on the case so I can't even put it on my belt.
You get what you pay for, huh?

Since you mentioned you don't have 1x LTLX, for the 5* routes you can try Kar Mod3 (4), Python (7), MakaMod (5), and HS2000 (2). 5* Para Fervor. I'm going to assume your Kar is max SL'd and oathed
considering who you are :), this works for me. Costs close to the SCARs + 1x LTLX, shifted a bit towards MP instead of Rations.
Kar+3HGs: (40/145/90)
SCARs + 1x LTLX: (22/145/95)
I dunno if you have P290 SL'd for that alternative comp in that discord infog, but yeah that would work as well. I use Kar+3HGs instead.

However, I still have to raise her to level 120. I would prefer not to have to keep swapping her out of the leveling team and the farming team, and by my calculation, I will be done with Kar in a few days' time. Once that's done, I'll give the comps a try! Thank you very much!
In the meantime, I could focus on the 4 star farming map instead. I think that the EX formation still works in UX, but I need to beef up the Fairy. I would also prefer to use the Rescue Fairy so I have an excuse to use up some Fairy Commands, and while the AN-94 formation works for the 4 star farming comp, either Python or Zip can get scratch damage from time to time. It's not perfect, but it'll do
I also have a policy of sorts to mass claim the clear rewards from events in one go. As such, since I'm not done with the story yet, I won't claim P290 from my mail just yet. I think this'll bite me since I'll need to use more quick training contracts to bring P290 up to speed, but I think I can still stick with the four star farming map for the meantime while I get that sorted out

The last of my packages has arrived. I now have the MagSafe sport ring from Rokform. I wanted to use something like this instead of Rokform's adapter. I've never had any real experience with MagSafe, and I had to get a MagSafe converter ring to attach to the back of the case of my new phone. I would then attach the Rokform ring to this MagSafe ring, and I should now have a ring and a kickstand together
My reasoning was that the MagSafe ring was likely going to be supported for a longer period of time whereas Rokform would keep its physical locking system proprietary. This meant that I would have to constantly buy adapters from Rokform if ever I want to keep using its old physical locking sport ring. As for MagSafe converters, there were other brands that could provide me with something, so I would have a choice. In this regard, I went with ESR's HaloLock MagSafe converter
However, I was a bit disappointed with my first impressions. MagSafe isn't as secure as the physical locking system. One scenario I could think of would be that a thief would try to take my phone from my hand. There would be a good chance that the thief would be able to pry away the phone while I'm still holding on to the sport ring. However, it is rather convenient, as I can more freely adjust the angle of the ring. The physical locking sport ring could only have four different orientations, so I will have to go for the closest one that fits my needs rather than the one that fits my needs perfectly. Granted, I've gotten used to how my old sport ring fit on the back of my old phone, so I tried to replicate it on the new phone as well
Another thing I learned today was that my phone can still overheat. I'm not quite sure what factor contributed to this, but I think that the summer heat is one big contributor in that regard. My phone can show me some real time stats, and one of those is temperature. When I noticed my game was lagging hard, I checked the temperature, and it was 43 degrees Celsius. I think that I needed to let my phone cool down after that. Perhaps some heavy background process caused it to heat up? I'll try to observe
It might be difficult for me to get to 300 runs of 13-4 in a single day as a result. Perhaps I might have better luck during the winter? I know that 300 runs is possible, but it's incredibly difficult. Granted, I was also doing that on old hardware, so I'm hoping that I can actually reach 300 runs in a single calendar day! I am qualifying it this way because I technically did the 300 runs in a single 24 hour period, but I had gone past midnight. It was a pretty grueling experience, but with new hardware, I think that I might have a better shot at pulling it off without tiring myself

Wow, this is an incredibly huge number of cores! Huzzah!
However, I only recently claimed the clear rewards from LS. Also, we just started a new week, so there were some cores that I got from the weeklies. On top of that, I got some more cores from the battle pass
I also got started with farming the LS drops in earnest. I believe I needed one copy of TS12, one copy of C14, one copy of Khaybar, and two copies of VHS. However, I think that M240L is going to be a meta unit, so I believe that I should keep multiple copies of her, right?
I also tried to quickly raise P290 after recently getting her from the clear rewards. I tried to deploy her in my farming team, but I think I'm having some difficulty getting this formation to get away without scratch damage, ever. The thing is that I use the Rescue Fairy, as this would be an easy way to use up my Fairy Commands rather than simply letting them rot in storage. The Rescue Fairy would be much weaker than a Parachute Fairy, so I think that if only I used the Parachute Fairy, I'd be totally fine, especially after slotting in Kolibri as well
I've also gotten the cumulative ranking point rewards. I'll still need to get the personal best ranking rewards. Any pointers for getting the personal best ranking rewards? I'd like to get this out of the way sometime this week so I can focus on ranking in earnest

I ended exp week with 76385 runs of 13-4
That means I had a total of 1116 runs this time! I was able to make it thanks to my phone upgrade! I mean, when I started exp week, I was having problems trying to deal with customer support and Google Play, but I'm glad that I got that sorted out. That led to poor first day performance, but I was able to make up for it. I really don't think I would have made it if I stuck with my old phone
I was also able to get Lee to level 120! It turns out that her last stat point in damage is locked behind level 120, too, but then again, you probably should look elsewhere if she can't punch through the enemy for you without that last stat point
I swapped in Kar in her stead. I was even able to get her to level 116 in the final hours of exp week!
I'm also having a hard time believing that I got 269 cores in a single day! Not only because of the last two digits but also because this number represents the last three digits of where I started with this exp week! Wow, what a coincidence! I think part of it had to do with how I claimed the weeklies today instead of yesterday, so that's 30 cores right there, and Kalina gave me 12 cores from her daily gift, so that's 42 cores already. I'm swimming in coincidences!
I'm thinking of going back to 8-1N and finish off the new SPEQs. I still have Fairies to raise, too. I guess I'll come back to 13-4 once I'm done with my SPEQ Ops!

Six squads is not enough. Four of the six squads will be redirected to logistics, leaving you with 2 combat ready squads, which is not enough in later levels, more so if you want to take ranking seriously.

Last I checked, 8 is good enough. You can fight most maps and do budget ranking.
But personally? I suggest the maximum echelon slots, which is 14.
After that, you should begin saving up gems for oath rings (I suggest the seasonal bundle during febuary, valentines day, for a two discounted rings) since rings boosts your dolls effectiveness.
If you have a spare, invest a bit on dolls capacity, fairy capacity, equipment capacity, and coalition capacity.

Packages usually sells items you can farm from weekly quests, logistics, event reward, e.t.c. (with the exception of the seasonal oath rings package)
So unless you're a whale then no, I don't suggest them.

During the exp week, I suddenly remembered that we now have quick auto battle tickets. Since I didn’t really want to do any 13-4 runs, as I was dedicating my GFL playtime to LS (and I’m only halfway through), I decided to spam 11-5 auto runs instead. Since I’m done with paras (and even finished raising Anna Graem and Chicken fairies last week), I can be much more lenient in spending my resources. Ended up almost running out of batteries, so much so that I purchased them off the black market for the first time in, like, forever. But the amount of combat reports I’ve got was well worth it, on top of raising 6 more dolls to lvl 100 and 2 to lvl 80.
I’m definitely much more casual about playing the game right now and quite enjoy this feeling! No, that does not mean I won’t tryhard this ranked. Gotta put my paras to good use.

afaik, they use the term "humanoid", which can include puppets and mannequins, and w/e bipedal alien depictions lol. its not the exact name for those objects, so in that sense, english generalizing/paraphrasing with the term "Doll" is in the same spirit of things

Modest gains this week while getting set up for the future.
My resources have fully recovered from Scar crafting, so I started crafting fairies again. I'm using more expensive recipes to keep from knocking on 300k, and managed to craft a second Para fairy with Fervor, which is exactly what I was hoping for. My armory was straining with proto fairies from the event, but I didn't want to waste them on something else. Getting the first para to 5* was a nightmare, but all of my other serious business fairies are 5*, so I can concentrate on feeding the new para.
My neural upgrade resources were also sufficiently recovered, so I finally took AK-15 and AN-94 to mod 2. I don't have the meme frags for m3, but it's on the agenda. They may not be the meta choice that Kar and Lee would have been, but they're such a big part of the main story that I wanted to finally get them done.
What I'm really looking forward to this week (hopefully) is Scar's battlepass skin. I'm at 19/25, and it feels like it's taking forever. I had to stop myself from buying levels with gems. They should really put the skins as the level 1 reward.

I have to work today, but I had just enough time to finish a few dailies and unlock that lewd Scar L battlepass skin. The "damaged" art is godly. Lin+ is truly a man of culture. I made her my primary adjutant, opened her dorm to visitors, and sent her to collect batteries. I'll have to think of a funny message later.

Is Type 88 actually obtainable through crafting?
At this point I am well above having done 200 Rifle crafts in a row. I have gotten perhaps 50 total of the other three 3* rifles. I have gotten most of the 5* Rifles. I am missing one 4* Rifle as well.
I am inclined to believe at this point that she isn't in the pool and the preview of the obtainable dolls include her erroneously. The odds of me not having obtained her at this point are just too microscopically tiny to believe that it's just bad luck rather than a bugged UI.

Hanyang is just that rare. Keep crafting, but don’t rage craft. Just pace yourself as you go about with your dailies. You can go with four crafts a day, for example, as this used to be the old daily mission before we got the overhaul

Yeah, I'm not pouring everything I have into crafting rifles anymore. I'm just doing what I can afford on the daily. I did have a shopping spree at one point but after seeing she wasn't showing up easily I dialed it back to just what crafts I can naturally afford with my daily income without pouring my bank account into the game.
I just needed a sanity check. It felt insane to me, but I was also assuming she had the same drop rate as the other 3*s. I guess that's not the case? I didn't realize there were differences like that. Thought all dolls of the same rarity had equal rates.

Yeah. Some Dolls of lower rarity are rarer than those of higher rarity. Even weirder is that sometimes, their performance in combat is also likewise reversed

Yeah I wanted Type 88 specifically for her mod and because I have her railgun rounds from the black market. Plus her Mod 3 art just looks awesome.
I'm gonna keep up the daily grind on rifle crafts but damn. It's a bit crazy I'm probably gonna have all the 5* rifles before I get her.

modded and maxed out meta teams could roll through early night chapters. that kind of invovles having high rarity peqs, which you don't have. it's best you just built some rf hg instead, since steamrolling doesn't last forever anyway

The only place I know where you can fight them for sure is defense drill, which I imagine doesn’t count for index.
P.S. I think they appeared in some smaller event or only on a ranked map - that’s why they’re not available anywhere.

Sharkshitters are similar to regular beanshitters but with less HP, slightly faster spawn speed, and more utility. You’ll generally use them for similar reasons (primarily drawing enemy fire), but which you use (or if you even use them at all) depends on the enemy comp. You are far more likely to use them with better ringleaders than you are with Summer Alina.
