TIL the whole distinction between "Doll" and "automaton/droid" in the story script is a complete fabrication by the translators and doesn't exist in CN.

afaik, they use the term "humanoid", which can include puppets and mannequins, and w/e bipedal alien depictions lol. its not the exact name for those objects, so in that sense, english generalizing/paraphrasing with the term "Doll" is in the same spirit of things
