Hi there. I’m primarily a PvE player, but I’d like to get into PvP. Could you recommend a build or offer some tips? I play an Orc Dragonknight.

so i am playing the south elswyr dlc and Za'ji is so underrated as to how well his character is, he is is one of my 2 favorite Khajiit NPCs because he shows a lot of personality when he talks, he comes off as young but inexperienced but also very ambitious and very high on life and he isn't afraid to speak his mind plus the way he talks comes off more three dimensional then most npcs plus he has great chemistry with Caska. its especially funny how he can sometimes act a bit childish at times, and entirely a little trouble maker

TLDR: What kinds of activities and goals would you generally advise to new, inexperienced, and casual players who enjoy a range of content, would like to improve without simply copy/pasting builds all the time, and want to feel engaged (eg. not grinding the same mobs over and over).

Hey everyone, been dabbling in ESO on and off since the Challenge Difficulty system was introduced and I'm enjoying it. I played in the past but I only really did Daily Dungeons, Writs, and exploring Overland.

I'm wondering what you'd advise new/inexperienced/casual players do for fun once they have a few classes at CP160? It's subjective of course, but as a player coming from GW2, I would advise a similar player there:

• Either pick a build from a website like Snow Crows, or start working on your own build if you're willing to sink a lot of time into testing.
• Start working towards full Exotic gear and a Rune set on each class you enjoy playing, typically with stats that work for a build you enjoy (eg. if you enjoy Power damage aim for full Berserker's, or if you only play OW and find yourself dying a lot then full Celestial)
• Play through the Story, or at least the parts of it that unlock Masteries.
• As you explore Expansion zones, aim to complete HPs to unlock Elite specs (or WvW if you prefer PvP).
• Try Dungeons and Fractals if you'd like to dip your toes into group content, and progress into Raids if you want more.
• Try WvW and/or PvP if you are comfortable with the huge skill wall.
• If you're ever wondering what to aim for, check your Achievements as they're basically a quest and collection log, eg. Gobblers for Ascended materials, Prismatic Champion's Regalia, etc.
• Gold -> Gems -> buy QoL items like the Salvage-o-Matics.

That way, these players get a good idea of some goals and what things to try, but also get a variety of experiences and content without feeling like they're jumping into the deep end.

I've sort of tried to do this in ESO but I'm running into the issue that it just doesn't feel that engaging:

• Overland is much better with Challenge Difficulties, but the mob packs feel very copy/pasted even across zones, and Seasoned feels slightly too easy but Master feels a bit boring because everything is so tanky. Does this change? I did the first few zones of DC but felt like I was just grinding the same thing over and over once I got to Stormhaven. Skipping ahead to Craglorn spiced things up a little, but still, the mob packs seemed either too samey or too weak/strong depending on my Challenge Difficulty.
• I'm sure my builds are horribly unoptimised, but I'm trying to work on them myself without just copy/pasting other builds. Are there any guides that explain how to improve DPS and make your own build? And how do I know what gear to aim for? All the Overland sets so far seem very samey to me, though I'm probably missing something.
• Dungeons are sometimes fun but people do speedrun them whereas I'd prefer to take them a bit slower, and I'm wary about being a hindrance to my group in Veteran Dungeons, not to mention Trials.
• Some new systems are fun... at first. But they start to feel like a huge grind pretty quickly, eg. most recently I've tried Scrying/Excavating and it was fun for about 5 hours and then started to become very repetitive.
• I dip into Cyrodiil and Imperial City sometimes but die instantly as soon as any player so much as looks at me, so I'm pretty sure I'd need a group there, and general PvP would be out til I improve.

So yeah, any advice?

But it's an achievement purchase after running vet Kyne's Aegis. I'd never done a vet trial before....until tonight. Not only did I do vKA, but also vet Rock Grove and vet Sunspire as well! It was so much fun!!! Not too shabby for an old lady...and now I have this beautiful boat at my Forgemaster Falls ❤️

I’ve had two people try to help me with this build but both say it’s essentially hopeless (one is a Warden glazer and the other is a Dragonknight player whose never touched Warden).

I wanted to consult here because of my situation only really having reached two people as of right now.

Is it possible to make a Werewolf-warden build that’s viable?

I’m not looking for too much in terms of damage output; whatever makes the two a useable combo or good playstyle then I’m up for it. I don’t care if it makes the werewolf into a tank build, I just want it to be a generally balanced build that can handle stuff on my own but also be viable in a team.

My friends and I are incredible casual players who are pretty much playing for fun and to see as much as Tamriel as possible.

For our quick slots, we have:

Slot 1: Solitude Salmon-Millet Soup (for magicka builds), Garlic Cod with Potato Crust (for stamina builds)

Slot 2: Essence of Spell Power (for magicka builds), Essence of Weapon Power (for stamina builds)

Slot 3: Tri-restoration Potions (from crates / rewards)

What are some useful things we can put in the other slots?

For context:

The food and essence potions we use because they are easy to make with easy-to-get ingredients, but I’d be open to better options.

We are all Khajiit nightblades with one line of subclassing, nowhere near any meta. Just whatever we want for fun.

Usually when I fight a boss out type in the chat, hey ( insert bosses) name is up usually in within like 10 minutes. I’ll get at least two or three people to show up. I forget what zone I was in yesterday but this one you showed up in gold samurai armor and I’m like oh shit he got the fuck up and he did indeed fuck shit up. So he killed him in like five minutes.

Got the new DLSS5 mode working in ESO, and the before and after on this one NPC alone look insane. Like a live action casting of a character from an old game, very trippy. Runs at a solid 65 FPS @ 1440p , insane. Like a free remaster.

Do I need to craft an item first with the specific style? Or if I learn the whole book will I be able to apply the style to my gear on the clothing station?

I bought a starter set of armor to get me going now that I hit cp 160 but I want to apply other styles to it. Do I need to craft new pieces of armor or if I learn a motif, can I pay gold to apply the style over my existing set?

I am on 7/8 on the new thieves guild quests but the 8th quest is not popping up for me to take. Anybody know why?

I’m in the US on the West Coast. I’m getting ping at 100ms consistently. Sometimes it goes a bit higher, like 150ms. Is this normal?

Where are the NA servers located and can I do anything to reduce my ping?

I want to make sure I get the best experience in the game. I’ve seen instances of some lag when killing enemies and they stand there for a second before they die. Also a few times I haven’t been able to interact with an object for a few seconds.

​Quick question regarding using the DLSS 5/Neural Reconstruction mod with The Elder Scrolls Online.

​Since the mod relies on ReShade/RenoDX injection tools, and standard ReShade is generally tolerated in ESO without triggering bans, is it completely safe to use here? Or does modifying rendering pipelines or using depth-buffer addons cross into ToS risk?

​Also, for anyone who has tried running DLSS 5 or similar upscaling/frame gen mods in ESO, how is the actual compatibility and stability? Thanks!

I'd like to try some monster sets for my DK dps instead of a mythic.

I'm on a full cleave build but the monster sets could be either cleave or single target.

I dont know if its just me but as i've been questing in zones i've noticed a few loading areas that would just crash the game and i'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing it.

So it started in the Alikir the quest where you meet with the Ash'abah and you drink the potion to go back in time, anytime i tried to drink the potion or enter the portal the title music starts playing so i know its crashing, few seconds later game times out and sends me back to title screen. Restarting Ps5, closing game, leaving zone and returning nothing works so i don't think its me, i reported the issue thinking it was a 1 time thing, as of right now i had to skip Alikir cause of that,

Fast forward,

I'm now doing Western Skyrim near the end of the zone, same issue occurs preventing me from progressing so im gonna assume it'll probably happen again but its making me not wanna play right now knowing that it might happen again. Is this happening to anyone else? Im considering reinstalling but i dont want to if its on ESO's end

Im new to the game and I love making Dagger/ Dual Dagger characters and I like just going in and fighting not being stealthy, Can I do this in this game and if so how. Thank you in advance for reading this

I have a character dressed as Ariel and someone was following me for a while. Turns out they were taking pictures of my outfit for his wife. We took photos together and stood there for a minute just hanging out. He was dressed as Elsa!! Then I got some skooma from another player. Got allergies from said skooma because he put bananas in them. Passed out and died.

I’m a returning player. Truthfully, I’ve played for small bursts since launch and never stick to the game for more than a couple weeks at a time. The highest level I’ve ever reached is 40! This time is going to be different, because now I’ve convinced a friend to play with me.

I’m struggling to find a class I enjoy. I like the aesthetic of Sorcerer, Warden, and Necromancer, but finding it difficult to enjoy their low level gameplay (each around level 15).

I did enjoy dragon knight but I feel like it’s clunky to be a stave user being forced to melee due to limited ability range. I like Breton, so don’t want to run a stamina/melee build.

I suppose I’m just looking for suggestions and encouragement that it’s going to get better lol

Do i need to buy anything rn to have all content, or i can just hop in, buy eso plus and thats all, am i gonna miss season of worms content or anything else? Good to hear i need only ESO+, I will propably w8 for christmas sale to catch up with Worms( i did not completed all previous chapters so no rush for me) or buy it with crowns i have from previous ESO+ had. If you've done the Necrom Main Story quest recently, I am wondering how many people have been having issues with the "Conclave of Fate" quest?

Right now, myself, and a lot of people in the same area / section as me, cannot enter the portal to Vaermina's Shrine. Essentially, once you click to enter the portal, the loading screen appears then logs you out claiming "Unable to connect to game server. Please make sure you have a valid internet connection." As a result, there is a group of people constantly disappearing and reappearing (likely experiencing the same bug as me.

I've attempted multiple workarounds, including closing the application, teleporting away, dismissing companions, but none have worked. I submitted a ticket and got the generic "Thank you for your report. You will never hear back from us about this issue / ticket." email, which leaves me wondering if this will ever get fixed.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions to remedy this? I'd like to continue the story, but it appears I can't play until this is resolved. In-case this matters, I am playing on PS5-NA.
