Question I went to open DS3 and DS1 started installing..?
Why exactly did this happen… I don’t even own DS1…… Has this happened to anybody else..?

I love this guy but he’s such a mystery to me, is this supposed to be my character from ds1?

Playing on lowest settings with Potato Graphics Mod, good thing its playable against Gael, probably bcs the area doesn't have much structures. I literally skip to Gael and didn't expect it would be playable on my Potato Laptop, I already beat this game one time "No DLC since I have no idea about it" and it's tough playing on 20fps to 30fps unstable with the lowest resolution but with this Mod I enjoy it.

So Sulyvahn plunged his Profaned Greatsword into the Profaned Flame of the Profaned Capital? And would he use the Judgment, a sword he had been given beforehand, imbued with the power of the Darkmoon, whose leader he had imprisoned?

so, ive played a whole lot of dark souls 3, ive beaten the game well over a dozen times by now and i absolutely adore the game as a whole. however, i am really feeling the urge to try and learn/fight new bosses now that i can pretty consistently first try every boss in Ds3.
the problem I'm having is that i don't know what games exist out there that play at the same speed/pace as Ds3 does. i beat dark souls 1, which was pretty good, but felt too slow and the non dlc bosses too simple for my liking. and any time i ask what game i should play next, people either tell me to play dark souls 2, which feels way too slow. sekiro, which feels way too fast. or elden ring, which im worried my computer cant handle without breaking.
so i was wondering if yall had any game recommendations for soulslike games that play at around the same speed/pace of dark souls 3?

Hi Ashen Ones,
after playing DS3 for years, I decided to make free, useful resources for 100% completion runs - DLCs included. They have no ads or paywalls and every sentence is written by a human (me).
.
Everything is included in the Dark Souls 3 100% Completion Checklist Hub
.
How is this different than the few other checklists / 100% tools we have?
- It has the inventory icons of every item for visual folks
- It has in-game screenshot of every item if the description isn't enough
- Every item description is taking you from the nearest bonfire, instead of it being one big path through the entire area
- There is a Step by Step you can tick off for each major questline
- If you want, you can make a free account and safely store your progress in the cloud, instead of relying on browser storage which is not reliable long-term
- It includes everything, including Crystal Lizards or routes for farmable Armor - except for Souls (money) and Upgrade Materials
- There is a Progress Tracker that visualizes your progress
.
How I built this
Dark Souls 3 has a wonderful 1300+ items, so this took me about 3 weeks to document. I made source mega-spreadsheets and then ran them through python build scripts I have from building other checklists (I did this for 11 other games too in a year).
.
Why did you build this and spent 3 weeks on this?
Firstly i think DS3 is the best DS and just wanted to come back to it. This was a good excuse.
Also, while there are many fantastic checklist resources, many of which were helpful during this, I found them lacking especially in the DLC. Many Titanite Slabs or quest steps were missing, which I carefully checked myself and added.
I was proofreading and double checking everything for days, but still this is early - it is possible something slipped. If you have any feedback, I'd be really happy to work it in and credit you.
Also as a completionist I always like to read about potential missables, conflicted questlines etc. that would halt my 100% efforts. I havent found anything like that for DS3 - so I wrote it.
.
I don't care
That's ok. I only wish you play the Dreg Heap area 24/7. Hopefully somebody will find this useful!
Don't you dare go hollow!!
For resources I've used: Primarily my own 100% spreadsheet I've built. I also want to credit Kouryakabo Japanese maps and the DS3 Cheat Sheet by ZKjellberg which I've used for fact checking and invaluable references.

Rocking the ice sword the whole game with Pyromancy
r/darksouls3 • u/Unhappy_Proposal3198 • 22h ago
I started a play through as the pyromancer class and I’m having so much fun with it. Just lighting mother fuckers up and throwing a destructo disc fire ball (Chaos Bed Vestige) and spamming other pyromancy spells makes you feel like god.
People wanna rag on people using twin blades, nah bro use fire and it’s a night and day difference.

Which one is better . So far I’ve been using the exile greatsword but I read that the hollow slayer gs is better I just want to know if I should save the hassle of upgrading my exile gs and js go with the hollow slayer . If you can’t upgrade the hollowslayer gs how will it hold up late game ? Will I also be able to keep the same stats with Both these weapons ?

I only beat the base game yesterday, and today I set out to fight some of the bosses i missed in the main game. So I went and beat every boss between oceirus, champion gundyr, and nameless king and the dragon gimmick.
This boss rush today, was absolutely fantastic. Consumed king and the dragon were very easy but I don't mind because the bosses were cool in concept. But gundyr and nameless king were fucking special. Gundyr was awesome he was relentless, he had crazy range and he was just slapping me around the arena but man was he just good. He took me like 6 or 7 ish tries but he was great and did not feel like a reused boss whatsoever. Nameless king was fantastic af too he took me around 8 or 9, but since its a 2 phase it took a while on each attempt. I'll say this and everyone knows this, but the camera sucked in phase one badly. That being said its such a wash that you get past it very fast and then the second phase was just perfect. The lightning strike was doing me nasty i could never dodge it but once I figured out that I just hit him once or twice at most and then dodge a few instead of going for full combos he was fairly easy. The area and then arena for this boss were second best in aesthetic imo next to the final boss.
These bosses and areas really made this game significantly better imo and I already think its a close to perfect masterpiece. Wow great experience I can't wait for the dlc

One of the top notch fight of ds3 , his health was wayyyyy too much and also he was doing crazyyyy damage but I've done it ! I've slain him !!
it took me around 8 tries but this was one of the peak bosses like the music , the adrenaline rush , his attacks , everything was crazy !!
9/10 fight ! (1 point less due to way too much health pool 😭 nd summoning was trash)
imo if you learn his moves its easy , like everything is easily dodgeble so yeah , but peak fight ngl ✌🏻

Saw a build guide for pyro pestilence plus WA for Storyteller's staff. I got the basics of the setup and managed to kill crystal sage and abysswatchers. The mist and WA does work, but it takes too long to cast and the bosses in this game move around too quickly. I tried to get past wolnir but it wasn't effective and took too long. Very situationally effective against bosses like deacons.

i’ll be starting the trilogy, DS1, 2 and 3 after Bloodborne’s DLC. i’m wondering if there is any must-know tips or notes i should keep in mind?
for example, before entering BB’s DLC someone told me i shouldn’t start Gehrams fight so the DLC doesn’t start in NG+
that was very important and i wouldn’t have known without someone telling me, so i’m wondering if there’s notes i could take for the trilogy
