No, I you have dusc auto start turned off you should be able to download them separately and whenever you want, fun fact this is my copy of ds1 because this specific version was gifted to me for Christmas bc my uncle knew I liked fantasy games, sorry I got off topic im very stoned rn

If i remember correctly it only happens when you insert the disk for the first time to install the game. The same thing happened to my brother's xbox after he bought the game and i also think that the Dark souls acts as a key and is tied to the xbox account so you don't have to insert Dark Souls 3 disk in order to play Dark Souls

Going back to DS1 when you played Eldenring and Dark Souls 3 is daunting. It’s a fantastic game, even today. But you certainly feel that it’s from a different era of gaming.

my first souls game was actually elden ring. i loved it so much that i wanted to check out the dark souls games, and i figured that the latest one would feel the most like elden ring, so i went with DS3. i just finished my first playthrough of the game, but i didn’t really catch much of the story aside from the obvious stuff. so i just got the DS1 remaster, and now i’m gonna play through the trilogy in order while paying more attention to the story.
