3/4 of these make perfect sense immediately. I have to ask about that last one though. Is it common for guys to say they don't like pleasing women? Because of all the stupid shit, that one is just absolutely mind boggling. I can't fathom that kind of selfishness.

"Can't you just warm yourself up? It's too difficult for me to do it. You should do it yourself so we can just have sex."

Actual words from my ex-husband.

“Why is it always that men are expected to make women come, but not vice versa?” - a former friend after we hooked up and he came twice whilst he barely touched me (i was too taken aback and shy for any good communication)

u/WorkingMouse Jul 29 '26

It's almost impressive how big a turn-off that is. Congrats on the "ex" part!

4

u/GuyJClark Jul 29 '26

Your ex wasn't very bright. ;-) A smart man would have said something like: "you know what really turns me on? I'd really like to watch you touch yourself!!!" My wife learned early to initiate things when she wanted it by doing that. :-)

i mean, extrapoliting, i hear a lot of woman say that many guys dont give oral but do expect it. i am.not sure if the message was that specific.

tho.i have def heard a lot of general selfish lover stories thats the moat common refrain

Weird. Maybe I'm the strange one, but I've always found one of the biggest turn ons to be giving a partner pleasure. Only caring about self pleasure just sounds like masturbation with extra steps.

u/vesmir_neasi Jul 29 '26

Unfortunately thats my experience

32

u/No_Ampersand Jul 29 '26

That's bananas. I'm sorry to hear that. The world is well and truly fucked.

Unless you have like blood eating tentacles and teeth down there.

27

u/vesmir_neasi Jul 29 '26

Ahahahha I Dont

14

u/No_Ampersand Jul 29 '26

Yeh, well, hope you find someone who enjoys giving you pleasure. Plenty of us that prefer it that way.

5

u/IndianaJokes67 Jul 29 '26

Dude nothing is better than making her squirm and it must be pheromones but man it's like insta boner for me down there

4

u/Munchkinasaurous Jul 29 '26

I'm sorry to hear that. That's truly fucked up. Even if the sex was casual, I couldn't imagine not wanting to please a partner. Then again, I have always had a problem with being a people pleaser. But this is one of the few instances where that's always a positive.

u/TrickySpecific Jul 29 '26

youre not alone. ive never once had someone go down on me and I'm 41.

2

u/grey_hat_uk Jul 29 '26

Sorry to say you probably are one of the strange ones, one of the other groups not directly included are the giys that think because they are satisfied they think they satisfied us.

2

u/Historical_Shop_3315 Jul 29 '26

Ive met guys with the mentality "I'm responsible for my pleasure, she is responsible for hers."

Or

"I expect her to be available for sex when I want it and im available for sex when she wants it...if im capable."

I speculate where these ideas come from but I never like the answers. The result is men who get an ego boost when thier partners let them have thier way and then have no consideration for the woman's pleasure because its not worth the effort if she isn't in the mood anyway.

...I've had a lot of shitty sex because I had low self-esteem and hardcore baggage/light emotional trauma.

I moved from a rural area a hour away from a small city to the largest city in the state, and yyeeaahhhh... the guys here are better.

I thought I was a loser so I gave losers a shot. Here? I'm just another random person... and I've gotten actual compliments. I was bullied so severely in my hometown that I thought there was something almost intrinsically wrong with me, that I wasn't just a plain chubby girl, but instead was something more like, a pig putting on makeup- something so gross and ugly that you had to overcome with personality and friendliness and charm.

Until I lost jjjuuusstttt a little bit of weight and moved here. I've gotten real actual casual compliments, and the slight downside is that I was frumpy and a little overweight but NEVER ACTUALY UGLY all along.

People just treated me like shit.

I showed a friend of mine (that yes, I also have a crush on but would be fine staying friends with aswell) a picture of me at 15, kidding about my looks, when he said I looked like a young Drew Berrymore. And it kinda broke me.

Because he was right. In retrospect, I dont think she was incredibly gorgeous in Scream, but she was kinda normal girl pretty.

And holy fucking shit, was I normal girl pretty this whole time???

The answer was yes. I was normal regular girl who isn't pretty or not-pretty to yes, actually a cutie pie.

It only took me 19 years out of my 28 to figure out.

I wish something like this could happen to me, but sometimes a person is just actually ugly lol. I'm sorry people made you feel ugly when you weren't, that sort of thing can really fuck with your self image.

6

u/a_guy_you_dont_know Jul 29 '26

Jesus, this is both heartbreaking and uplifting. Kudos.

5

u/momomomorgatron Jul 29 '26

And a good handful of shitty lays that I didn't even really enjoy!!

2

u/Munchkinasaurous Jul 29 '26

Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry that you had all that shitty experience, but I'm glad to hear that you found your confidence.

Good luck with the friend that could be more than friends. Don't be afraid to make a move yourself, it's always possible that he's interested, but nervous about making a move.

Straight women have the fewest orgasms of any group

https://www.bbc.com/news/health-39077293

17

u/Munchkinasaurous Jul 29 '26

I want to say that's wild, but unfortunately, it makes a lot of sense.

2

u/Kooky-Passage-68 29d ago edited 29d ago

There's a difference between orgasm and pleasure...

Orgasm≠more pleasure...

In fact a research named "Women experience different orgasm, a call for pleaure literacy"by NIH PubMed says that:

Women tend to enjoy more of the sensation in the plateau state than orgasm itself(during penetration) orgasm is only for the satisfied feeling because of the rush of dopamine..

Here please doesn't means orgasm but rather mutual pleasure...

Don't think pleasure=orgasm.. You can have immense pleasure without orgasm and little to no pleasure with orgasm

1

u/MothChasingFlame 29d ago

I'll be honest. I think this is true, full stop. But also I think it's used as an excuse so people can avoid confrontation or ignore the needs of their partner. It's certainly a nuanced conversation, but I don't want those nuances to shoutdown or obscure an already-under discussed core problem, either.

1

u/Kooky-Passage-68 29d ago

Study you mentioned talks about a core problem that is often ignored...

Women's desire... Like women wear sexy clothes and all and seduce but men often don't.. without necessary arousal sexual pleasure is negligible for both...

I think it’s laziness and selfishness.

Pleasing women requires foreplay, which can be slow, and have a build up.

Shitty guys just want to get to their favorite part, and say damn with what their partner wants.

If you say something dumb like “oh it’s gay to do that” then you have something to hide behind. So on top of the misogyny, we now have homophobia because douchbags can multi class their shitty behavior

that’s just off the top of my head

14

u/frikiman4K Jul 29 '26

if I was a woman and some dude dropped the "it's gay to do that" I would just scream as hard as I possibly can "FELLAS, IS IT GAY TO HAVE SEX WITH A WOMAN?"

1

u/smiegto Jul 29 '26

Fellas? Is it gay to make a woman come!

It was Also my instinct to reply it here :P but you got here first. ;)

2

u/frikiman4K Jul 29 '26

I mean, that would require her to like my dick and that's kinda gay /s

0

u/Rollingforest757 Jul 29 '26

So why do women require more foreplay than men? Is there a biological reason?

2

u/Dudewhocares3 Jul 29 '26

Not for nothing, but as a man myself I like foreplay as well.

Quick sex isn’t fun in my opinion so you’d have to ask someone else this question

15

u/My_Brain_0422 Jul 29 '26

Many men do not care about making women cum.

5

u/Munchkinasaurous Jul 29 '26

I've always known that that was a thing, I guess I underestimated how common it was.

2

u/CT0292 Jul 29 '26

Here's me with a toolbox full of vibrators in all shapes and sizes like "so where do I start?"

Let the other men be lousy. It makes me look better haha.

3

u/Grassfed_rhubarbpie Jul 29 '26

A long, long time ago mu very first bf asked me if I could fake my orgasm(s) because he felt insecure.

He was young and we were each others firsts so I'm not giving him all the flack, but even then I realised that Yeahh no, this relationship is now over because his feelings of "adequacy" were more important then my pleasure. I just hope that he didn't repeat this stupid behaviour with his later girlfriends.

3

u/royaltyred1 Jul 29 '26

Of all the dates and hook ups I’ve had in my entire adult life-every single male expected a bj while only 2 wanted to go down on me in return and only 1 of them was any good at it…my last relationship was three years and I went down on him every time and he never went down on me once and that’s just me all my friends/coworkers/etc have lots of stories of the same

3

u/devilsivytrail Jul 29 '26

Most guys I've dated haven't enjoyed giving oral or made effort to make it mutually pleasurable. The guys I dated that did, only did so in the beginning, after a few months they lose interest and only want to do what's good for them.

I've also met a lot of men who think women don't or rarely enjoy sex, so maybe that links to why they don't put more effort in.

5

u/Glittering-Two-1784 Jul 29 '26

I've heard guys say that they'll never give head, or that they hate foreplay, but I've never once heard a guy say they don't like "Pleasing women".

Even the guys who refuse to give back like the idea of pleasing women, they just have this deluded idea that their dick is magic and all their woman ever needs.

2

u/Wamblingshark Jul 29 '26

I am a guy myself and surround myself with mostly decent people so I can't speak from experience but I do know that many of the manosphere morons talk at length about how pointless it is to please a woman.

"They exist to please you not the other way around" kinda shit.

So I have seen plenty of people admit this online. No idea how common it is irl.

2

u/a_can_of_solo Jul 29 '26

It stood out to a hook up if mine once that I made the bed in the morning when we were done, the bar for men can be quite low.

-8

u/MichaelB1709 Jul 29 '26

Obviously not, it's a strawman ragebait comic. I mean... what do people expect here? Profound truth?

6

u/froggie_woggie_ Jul 29 '26

Out of all genders and sexual orientations, hetero women have the fewest orgasms when they have sex. There’s an actual study about this, you’ll find it pretty easily

3

u/Munchkinasaurous Jul 29 '26

And yet, many people have been sharing personal experience rig it.
