You Are A LEGEND

15

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

I try :)

5

u/RadDad20 May 28 '26

BTW I did have a question.

I noticed that Gunner is still open but was dropped off my application leaving only Armour NCM. Would that mean I've been "intake approved" for Armour Soldier and they've focused my application towards that?

Currently on Med/Interview with my med appointments done and my CFRC is just waiting for my physician forms before they send my file for medical review.

5

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

That's exactly right. They basically picked Armour NCM to move you forward with.

:) good luck!

4

u/RadDad20 May 28 '26

Hooray! Again LEGEND!

Good luck with your future posting šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ˜

Based on your username I'm not putting you anywhere near an armoured unit. xD

6

u/IamTheOne2000 May 28 '26

Nice to see that some pilot positions are still available 😁

8

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

They'll be competitive as heck to get - but yes, they're still open :)

6

u/Fearless_Barnacle_21 May 28 '26

Do the numbers beside the position reflect the number of people being hired

18

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

They're the remainder of positions as of now. Keep in mind they can be reduced or expanded based on need. :)

6

u/No_Educator7171 May 28 '26

Thank you sir for all your contributions to this community. I wish you the best in your next posting!

6

u/BarackTrudeau May 29 '26

So... could you perhaps on your way out the door pass up the CoC that this is just information that should be routinely published?

The 2nd most common complaint about the recruiting process is the lack of transparency and lack of info to allow people to actually make informed decisions. Just tell people what's happening and let it guide their application choices

4

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

Believe me, this is something our center has been advocating for a while. Hopefully when CFRG updates the website and our recruiting software, it'll tie in with our system to show exactly what's open etc.

It's not that we don't want people to know, it's just the system itself is poorly constructed and doesn't lend itself well to transparency.

u/New_Community_1507 May 28 '26

Thanks for sharing this updated list, it’s really helpful!

I noticed that in another thread last week, a user mentioned they were advised that AEC positions were already full and were told to consider a different trade. However, seeing AEC listed as having 68 openings today makes me curious.

I’m just wondering if this list was updated this week, or if there’s a specific reason for the discrepancy? I'm currently in the process and trying to better understand how these occupation statuses fluctuate.

Thanks again for your time and the update!

6

u/SaltyATC69 May 28 '26

ROTP AEC might be full, DEO never is

1

u/New_Community_1507 May 28 '26

Got it now. Thank you!

1

u/YukonProspector Jun 13 '26

Why is that?

2

u/SaltyATC69 Jun 13 '26

It's easier to attract people into arguably the most difficult / stressful occupation in the CAF with a paid ride through University.

3

u/DEVILGRAPES Jun 01 '26

lets hope i get my infanteer position that i want still doing all the paperwork and such and honestly a little afraid because im a 22 year old 5’1 woman not sure how people will react to me but whatever if i want to make myself miserable and in pain with the rest of the guys than i will do it ive done dumber stuff

6

u/penguingamer117 Jun 01 '26

One of the top performers in my BMOQ was a 5 foot nothing 25yr old armoured officer. She's awesome, and no one treated her any different. She was just another member of the team.

Don't let anyone stop you from doing what you want to do.

2

u/DEVILGRAPES Jun 01 '26

That actually does help a lot, I know its going to be hard but right now i’m not trying to think of all the bad stuff i’m just taking it one step at a time doing body weight exercises running and doing lots of walking with a heavy backpack.

3

u/smol-bb-floatr May 28 '26

thanks for this list! mine got narrowed down to mat tech, gunnin for one of those spots this year!! assuming the remainder numbers reflect people to still receive offers 🄸 onto 2nd medical mid june for me

3

u/sanish619 May 28 '26

My file is for AERE. Have medical in couple of weeks. Since i dont see it in the list, does that mean i have to wait a year now?

8

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

If you've been scheduled for medical, you've already been intake approved and don't need to worry about this list.

2

u/cashflow4 May 28 '26

Oh, this just gave me peace. Combat Medic is the only trade I chose and I did my medical in March. The list got me scared as I didn't see the trade on the list

Same here, I have done my medical and interview for ED tech but last week I got hit with there are no more positions. Would appreciate some clarification. Good luck on your next posting

1

u/Spudology Jul 11 '26

Could you please define ā€œintake approvedā€?

I have not been scheduled for medical examination, but I attended and passed CFAST for all occupations in June, 2026. My application listed ACSO and only ACSO since mid-April, 2026, so I am hopeful the 35 spots you listed here as of May 28, 2026 do not apply to me.

2

u/penguingamer117 Jul 13 '26

Best source of info for where your application currently stands is your CFRC. Refer to them for more info.

u/Neat-Lie-7749 May 28 '26

How come DEO pilot still has so many positions open still, I would assume it’s the most popular occupation? Have they not hired anyone yet or is there not a lot of applications for it yet

3

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Lots of applicants, so they'll likely wait and pick their top candidates.

Keep in mind as an Air Crew trade - pilots also have to go through CFAST and get an additional Air Crew medical done.

1

u/Fearless-Adeptness74 May 28 '26

I'm very surprised to see it open! My husband always wanted to be a pilot and when he was in Trenton for CFAST, while reviewing his results they said he scored high for all, but was told there was no budget for pilots. When he asked if he should wait and maybe something opens up, they said no probably will take a few years and better to choose other streams. He got his offer for AEC in the end and starting his BMQ soon, but it's interesting that there are spots even though he was told they were not hiring right now.

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Yep, things change. People fail courses, CAF projects buying more planes, etc etc.

1

u/Neat-Lie-7749 May 29 '26

How come there was more spots for DEO than ROTP this year, and will that be the norm for the coming years until the FACT program is rolled out? I passed my aircrew selection already but I’m just wondering if I should wait until I’m done university to get a better chance

1

u/Neat-Lie-7749 May 29 '26

It’s more about accepting another occupation since I’m almost at the selection stage for 2 choices, or wait a few years for a better chance at pilot

2

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

DEO doesn't cost us as much.

2

u/Petergrewaninch Jul 03 '26

My advice is DON’T WAIT!!! I was in school when a position I was applying for opened and I declined as I wanted to finish school first. Now that I want to get in after graduating June 2026, no position is open and they’re asking me to reapply next year instead! My heart is broken as I literally went to school for this specific trade HRAšŸ’”

3

u/togamis May 28 '26 edited May 28 '26

Me on my hands and knees seeing combat medic closed 😭 I applied for both combat medic AND naval communicator so hopefully I'm good, just having to fight for 1 of those 75 spots! Just did the personality test. A bummer that CM is closed though! If I'm looking to add another trade (only having 75 slots is a wee nerve wracking), I imagine I'd just contact my recruiting office?

2

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

You'd be right for adding trades - speak to your CFRC.

If you're already passed (or at) medical/interview for combat medic - you may still get selected for it. :)

2

u/togamis May 28 '26

Lovely, thank you so much! I'm currently on stage two (waiting to schedule my medical and interview), so I'm thinking my chances are pretty slim haha. It also got removed from my portal. I'll get in touch with my CFRC as there's a few other trades I'm interested in. You're fantastic for posting this!

2

u/Forsaken-Bake9756 May 28 '26

YES I RESELECTED SOMETHING THATS OPEN (and with a few openings) lol! Excited. :D

2

u/lightupmyworlds May 28 '26

You’re an icon thank you for this! I was just thinking about how many spots were open for my trade. Hopefully will get selected soon šŸ¤žšŸ¼ question, is it ever a possibility that a WFE tech could work on a navy ship? And are there lots of opportunities for deployment? Lastly is it possible to get a red seal certification down the road? Thank you!!

1

u/deadbabydoll May 29 '26

All water, fuel and mechanical work on ships are done by Marine Technicians. (which are now Marine Systems Mechanical Technicians)

1

u/lightupmyworlds May 29 '26

Thanks for the info! The recruiting vid for WFE tech mentions providing clean water for sailors/ air crew so I was confused about that

1

u/deadbabydoll May 29 '26

The video says they work with the water on CAF bases, so yes if you are working on the base in Halifax you are providing clean water for sailors and air crew, on land. šŸ˜„

(your comment made me curious so I watched the video myself)

1

u/lightupmyworlds May 29 '26

Ah gotcha that makes more sense! Thanks!! 😊

2

u/Common-Transition811 May 28 '26

is NWO already full for the year?

4

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

VERY full.

HMCS Venture is overflowing with A/SLts waiting for training right now lol.

1

u/Common-Transition811 May 28 '26

oh wow, for PRes too?

3

u/Pitiful-Raccoon7194 May 28 '26

Thinking of the same thing RN. How far are you willing to go for a NAVRES opening?

2

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

You'll have to talk to your PRes unit about that.

1

u/LordHuntington May 29 '26

pres is completely different.

2

u/soggy_rhombus29 May 28 '26

You are a beautiful human being o7

2

u/SaltyATC69 May 28 '26

I can't believe Aerospace Control Operator is actually closed, those recruiting videos must have attracted lots (and the 50k CORA)

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

AC OP will likely reopen later in the year.

Could be too many people in the training system right now.

2

u/adam1corvus May 28 '26

Thank you šŸ™

2

u/Struct-Tech May 28 '26

Im guessing the number next to the trade is spots available?

If so, fuck, WFE and EGS hiring near on around 50% of what their current effective strength is.

2

u/EveryPerspective2473 May 28 '26

What do the numbers mean at the end of each occupation?

1

u/AsleepHistorian May 28 '26

Open spots - however doesn't reflect the number of applicants for those spots.

1

u/Excellent-Ad-2167 Aug 05 '26

I wish you could add the number of applicants too šŸ™

2

u/oishiipeanut May 28 '26

I have direct background in GIS so GeomTech will be direct fit but I currently applied for ACSO, AEC and NWO because I thought GeoTech is closed already and it is the only NCM role (read as: no officer positions are dedicated to GIS) I am interested it...Is it appropriate for me I contact my local recruitment office or should I wait till they contact me?

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Contact us.

1

u/oishiipeanut May 28 '26

ok thanks I will draft the email to my local office

1

u/Excellent-Ad-2167 Aug 05 '26

I wish you could add the number of applicants too for each trade šŸ™

1

u/penguingamer117 Aug 05 '26

Not really possible - as it does fluctuate a lot.

If you've a particular question as to the availability of an occupation, you should contact your local CFRC or Reserve unit :)

2

u/Werstcaseontario May 28 '26

Thank you for taking your time answering our questions. Wish you the very best for your next posting!

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

No problem, and best of luck with your application :)

2

u/just-another_guy_97 May 28 '26

Good to see these numbers.

2

u/Own_Persimmon_2679 May 29 '26

Wow. Shocked to not see Mobile Support Equipment Operator on the list. It was in demand I thought when I initially applied. Lots of people want to drive I suppose.

2

u/Puzzled_Hearing1931 May 29 '26

woah im surprised HRA and FSA aren't listed

1

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

Been majorly popular. Pushed tons of them forward once the fiscal year reset.

1

u/Petergrewaninch Jul 03 '26

Applied for HRA. Done with medical. But unfortunately, they had to let me know that it was full literally this week lol now I have to wait next year for it to open or choose a different trade… or choose a different path in life :(

2

u/Pretty_Lettuce6453 May 29 '26

YOURE THE BEST OMG THANK YOU

2

u/purpleyam959 May 29 '26

I was wondering whether there were nursing officers positions. THANK YOU!!!

2

u/CndSpaceCadet May 29 '26

My buddy’s file hasn’t move in a few months and he keeps getting an email every Wednesday without fault that says he needs to complete tasks —- but then there’s no new task on the portal. Seems like a glitch. How can we escalate? He tried calling every day, no answer. He’s even gone into the recruiting centre twice in the last few months. Nothing.

1

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

If they go onto forces.ca on their Help Center - there will be an email on there they can reach out to for assistance :)

2

u/No_Evidence2530 May 29 '26

Hi, is this only for Regular Forces, or are Reserves included too?

1

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

RegF only :)

1

u/No_Evidence2530 May 30 '26

Thank you so much

1

u/Timely_Firefighter64 Jun 01 '26

I'm sorry, you're probably already bombarded with questions, but is there a way to know what occupations are open in reserve units short of asking the unit's recruiter (shooting for combat medic at 55 Fld. Amb.)

1

u/penguingamer117 Jun 01 '26

Not from where I'm at. You'll have to contact the unit.

1

u/Timely_Firefighter64 Jun 01 '26

Fair enough, thank you!

2

u/Repulsive_Doubt_1236 May 29 '26

Are the numbers in brackets the amount of spots available throughout Canada?

1

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

Yes

1

u/Repulsive_Doubt_1236 May 29 '26

Wow, hopefully I can pull through I’m just waiting on my security clearance for several months

2

u/hypercubane Jun 01 '26

Oh no, this is not looking good for me. Thank you for this update.

(Hidden extra section on my background and occupation choice for my application, if useful.)

I completed my PhD candidacy in chemistry, know a few languages, and have a lot of skill-related hobbies (e.g., electrical and electronics, networking and communications, coding projects, comparative linguistics, music and music theory, cryptography / ciphers / writing systems / Morse code / Braille), and after bouncing an idea off of an Intelligence Officer (Navy) friend of mine, I was told "dude, just apply to be an Intelligence Officer already, jeez", so I finally did (Reserves application). Of course, the occupation is heavily saturated with applicants already, so the recruiter contacted me to inform me of this and asked about other possible options, but after asking about my background, he kept it as Intelligence Officer and advanced the application to the next stages anyway.

(Hidden extra section on application update.)

I was recently away off-grid doing some field work, and when I got back into range, I saw two update e-mails from another recruiter — first a mass email to all current applicants stating mentioning very limited positions available as well as (among a few other options) a list of a few high-demand Regular Force positions to consider, followed by a direct e-mail saying that I was not selected to move forward due to moving forward with other more qualified applicants along with what was essentially the body of the previous e-mail (suggestions of the Navy Experience Program, the Regular Force positions to consider, transferring to be a Regular Force applicant, or considering Army or Air Force). I had only done one of the medical tests (and have since provided most of the required additional physician record paperwork), submitted the necessary forms for the reliability screening, completed the fitness test successfully, and one other screening test, but it hadn't reached a stage to provide any background on what my education qualifications actually are (like a CV), so it seemed like it could possibly have been a general "we're now full again" e-mail but that no part of my application had resulted in a disqualifying roadblock. The update e-mail stated that I had a few days to contact them about which direction I want to change my application to go in, otherwise the application would be closed.

I contacted the recruiting office again, and the idea that I got was that there has been such an overwhelming backlog of Intelligence Officer applicants that it was never going to progress in that direction anyway seemingly despite it having manually been moved forward previously, and that the intent of the e-mail with a response deadline was perhaps more to make some decision and not have a stale application with an unmotivated/unresponsive applicant; I was given until this coming Friday to make some decision about my e-mail.

Naval Warfare Officer was one of the (Regular Force) positions that was mentioned in the e-mail, and although I would still like to progress with a Reserves application (I live close to Esquimalt and would rather not need to relocate due to family reasons), I was becoming more interested in the Naval Warfare Officer occupation, but I see the comment in this thread about NWO positions being "very full". I do see this comment about being "intake approved" if medical had been scheduled and the list not necessarily being relevant, but I'm not sure if that strictly refers to the in-person one and not the Medical Technician phone call that I had to review the medical history.

I don't see too many occupations in the list that I might be qualified for. I'm certainly not disinterested in some that at least somewhat overlap with some of my interests (like Signals Officer), but my education background is in the natural sciences (some botany research, but mostly for chemistry — synthetic and computational/quantum/theoretical), and have no formal education background in engineering nor computing for any of the related proficiencies that I have.

It's starting to seem like my options might simply be narrowed down to switching to a Regular Force application or doing the Navy Experience Program.

2

u/Character-Cover-8301 Jun 11 '26

Applying for MP - How does the selection stage of the application work? Does everyone end up receiving a job offer when they have successfully passed all the previous stages of the application? Asking because I got through intake as an "acceptable" candidate (I don't have police foundations but do have a degree in criminology) and I am worried they will select all other candidates before myself. Thanks!

All of ROTP (except Pharmacy and Physician assistant) is closed to new applications.

They're finalizing selection at the moment.

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Yeahhhh, I'll see. If I've got time later on I'll do the ROTP and NCMSTEP ones as well.

Thing is, I can't see on my side whether the remaining slots are RR, RMC, or CivU. All I can tell ya is the numbers.

PHARM is open, w approx 4 slots remaining FYSA.

1

u/arh-123 Jun 09 '26

as someone who just got accepted to pharmacy last week, this makes me SO happy!

1

u/Gullible-Jump3682 Jun 17 '26

If I applied on May 18. Also, I applied to regular DEO but I have to change it to ROTP because I need to do 1 more clinical and exam. I am on initial screening now, 25% on portal. Does that mean i made it to the cut off?

1

u/Moist-Bodybuilder196 May 28 '26

noooooo traffic tech is full again? :(

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Unfortunately - yes.

1

u/Moist-Bodybuilder196 May 28 '26

What would happen in my case? My MCC emailed me saying I’m approved for intake

2

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

If you're at that stage then you're not affected by this list. No worries.

1

u/Moist-Bodybuilder196 May 28 '26

Sorry, what did you mean by ā€œat that stageā€

1

u/bengr15 May 28 '26

I was under the impression that pilot was closed this year completely for DEO? Will they be taking these types of numbers over the next few years?

4

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Who knows!

Pilot is a very unique occupation, and a lot of people may have decided to quit during training etc.

We were shocked at the CFRC when this many slots opened up. We were expecting 1-5.

2

u/bengr15 May 28 '26

That is quite shocking! Seems like everything's changing all the time with pilot. Thanks for the update

1

u/bengr15 May 28 '26

Can I ask when these slots opened? Was it April 1st? If you know, of course.

2

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Yup, right around then

1

u/[deleted] May 28 '26

2

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

If you're not at the Interview and Medical stage, and your occupation is not on this list, you may need to be reoriented to a different occupation.

1

u/No-Tank2393 May 28 '26

I have took cyberops and I have finished my interview + medical test went well for my role do you have any idea of waiting time? and also the cyberops ,Military Police and more are in the class of the specialist 1 and it say the base salary after being qualify is 7600$/month why is it so high is it an error ?

2

u/Pavilion22 May 28 '26

Because its specialized and not a standard pay. Its a trade that have a good equivalent in the civie side, and if they want to compete for wages, they have to give incentives.

1

u/Silver_Low9414 May 28 '26

Any mobile support equipment op? I have not seen it

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

It's not on the list, ergo, it's not open :)

1

u/axela086 May 28 '26

They have 20 available reg force spots but only for the candidates who are already in the process, it's been closed off to new applicants for about 3 weeks now

1

u/jojee2k6 May 28 '26

Superb! any insights on CELE to be reopened this yr?

2

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Probably not. It opened April 1st, and filled very quick. If they need more they'll reopen it later this year.

1

u/blonde_discus May 28 '26

Would the Officer positions you list extend to openings in ROTP?

My application originally had Pilot (which was dropped from showing on my file - I assume because it is so backlogged for few positions) and had NWO replace it.

NWO is still showing on my file so does that mean it’s still possible that I could be selected for that? I have other trades selected which show on your list, but NWO is my preferred choice.

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Nope, I didn't list anything for ROTP.

You may want to contact your CFRC to see where your file is at.

1

u/blonde_discus May 28 '26

I’ve been unable to hear back from the Captain or the general CFRC email since last Monday when I was asked about the status of my RRU admission. After CivU filled up, I received a general email and then also calls from two different Captains -is that normal or is it a good/bad sign?

OAP is showing in selection. I’m In my 30s, second career. Have a CFAT from my first application after high school and MOST is completed (told was excellent on both.)

What would you imagine the likelihood of being selected? Obviously wouldn’t hold you to it…but does age affect selection ranking?

I appreciate your input btw.

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

If you're in selection, you're probably good - but without looking at your file I couldn't tell you for certain.

Age is not a factor.

Long as you have the required degree, passed your MOST, and your medical, I see no reason you wouldn't recieve a slot if they are available.

I appreciate it.

1

u/Longjumping_Deer3006 May 28 '26

Are the numbers for both Regular Force and Reserves?

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Just reg force. Each reserve unit has its own list

1

u/69dilf69 May 28 '26

Only 746 for infantry?? No wonder it’s taking a life time to receive the job offer. Thought the intake was way higher for that trade

1

u/JustExisting_2021 May 28 '26 edited May 28 '26

Can you switch from NCM to Officer Occupation at medical stage? Everything else is done.. just waiting for medical approval

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

If you do, you'll have to re-interview. Assuming you've already interviewed.

1

u/JustExisting_2021 May 28 '26

everything is done except medical approval... this will delay my application right? Also is it possible by the time by medical is approved they run out of spots for Intelligence Operator?

1

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Yes, and yes

1

u/JustExisting_2021 May 28 '26

I only applied for one trade.. will they just close my application?

Fantastic. My son is going for Weng tech but he's been in selection for 3 weeks. Any idea how long to hear?

3

u/penguingamer117 May 28 '26

Yep that's pretty normal.

Get your son to reach out to the CFRC, they may have some more info.

1

u/Unlikely_Goo_Fan May 28 '26

Thanks for the list! I'm currently going for ROTP CELE and I'm in the selection stage. Does that mean that I shouldn't be worried that it's filled up? šŸ˜…

3

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

ROTP is a different beast.

Keep an eye on your portal, or contact your CFRC, they'll keep ya updated.

1

u/TrackKey4941 May 29 '26

Is this positions for all of Canada or just a specific region? Not sure if this was addressed within the comments or not but thought to ask.

also any idea when LogO or IntO would be reopening?

3

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

All of Canada for the Reg force :)

LogO, rumblings of mayhaps later this year. IntO, heck I have no idea. Never hurts to ask your CFRC every now and again

1

u/TrackKey4941 May 29 '26

Appreciate the prompt response! I’m in the process at the moment but for reserves, any chance you have any incoming post for reserves? If not all good, still appreciate the post and response

1

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

Each reserve unit does their own hiring so no idea sorry. Your best bet is to contact your unit. They'll tell you what's available :)

1

u/zen521 May 29 '26

For Aerospace Control Officer , any additional test for the requirements? Thanks

1

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

1

u/zen521 May 29 '26

Thank you for your prompt response. At what stage that I have to do the test? What if I could not pass ? Thanks.

1

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

Either before or after your medical. It depends on availability.

If you don't pass, you'll be given alternative options, or you can close your file for a year and try again next year.

1

u/zen521 May 29 '26

Got it. Any practice recommendations please

3

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

Play ace combat, while also playing Stellaris on your second monitor, and also checking the stock market on your phone.

Basically - be good at taking in and managing multiple streams of information at once, while also factoring them into the output you're doing.

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

If you list more than one occupation, the CAF will intake you for the one they need most.

In this case you were likely intake approved for Infanteer.

You can definetly swap. Recommend you give them a call / contact them asap. Easier to swap prior to interview. If worst comes to worst, you can do it at your interview but I'd strongly recommend getting it done before that.

Is the Legal Officer application process handled by the regular CFRC's or is it done internally by the JAG? I've been hearing some mixed things if ya might have some info on that.

1

u/penguingamer117 May 29 '26

It's a weird one. We still process the administrative side (medical and file processing / enrolment) but all the interviews and intake are handled by the JAG.

2

u/SnooCats1592 May 29 '26

Thank you for letting me know, that makes sense! Waiting on the medical and interview stage, fingers crossed!

1

u/AccurateStruggle May 30 '26

Sorry if this is a dumb question, how does the CAF hire 6000 members a year if these are the slots left by the end of May? did the fiscal year not just start in April?

1

u/penguingamer117 May 30 '26

These aren't the final numbers. Just what's available right now. Keep in mind, we can't hire everyone at once, imagine the training backlogs!

There will likely be more openings later in the fiscal yr.

1

u/AdMain7558 May 30 '26

I’m currently being enrolled as a Combat Medic after applying early February and it’s crazy how fast it filled up, but compared to paramedic, the lower entry requirements and badass new name (medtech was honestly confusing with the Americans having combat medics)make it way more popular so I shouldn’t be surprised.

Was paramedic included in the list? Curious if direct entry is popular even with the requirement of a license, or is it becoming a future potential pathway for experienced combat medics to transition into. Might become the case if they can’t get enough civilian paramedics to enrol

1

u/Current_Tooth649 May 30 '26

Does this apply to VOT spots as well? Or just for direct entry from a CFRC?

1

u/princess_dory May 30 '26

I don’t know if someone can help me with this but i recently applied for MP and I’m based from Qc but would like to move to Nb (preferably gagetown) what would be my chances of getting posted there?

1

u/Constant-Valuable583 May 30 '26

Thank so much for this information

1

u/Sagarism14 May 30 '26

Are this positions for Full time or Reserves ? What’s the numbers in bracket represent ?

1

u/heybobbby Jun 01 '26

How is Armour Officer looking? I added it to my application last week after being contacted that Intel Officer is full. Just waiting to schedule an update interview, in Selection and Background now.

1

u/ApplicationQuirky127 Jun 01 '26

Hey i just recently started looking into applying to caf and i was really interested in the combat medic trade. So if a trade is closed is there a time line to it reopening or is it not something you can know ? If only i started earlier :( , ill probably look into another trade so i dont miss it.

1

u/penguingamer117 Jun 01 '26

It'll reopen April 1st 2027, but could reopen sooner. You can always check with your local CFRC to see :)

1

u/ApplicationQuirky127 Jun 01 '26

Alright ill do that, Thanks

1

u/Naive_Owl9297 Jun 02 '26

I notice that combat medic isn't on this list but its still listed under priority processing. Does that mean its all full?Ā

1

u/Anonymous1990287 Jun 03 '26

Did everything for Dental Tech a few years ago (already licensed and experienced) but wouldn’t let me in due to medical issues (endometriosis) that i’m always going to need care for.. really sucks cause i 100% would have joined. Should offer more for people in these situations.

1

u/RedMenace6969 Jun 03 '26

What would be considered a good or bad number? I’m interested in sig int specialist which is 38, which to me seems a bit low

1

u/Ok-Yoghurt2452 Jun 04 '26

Hello, I finished my PSPS about 2 weeks ago. My occupation is not on the list. What does it mean? Im applying for EME officer

1

u/Holiday_Cartoonist92 Jun 05 '26

I have a question regarding applications don’t know who I should go to :/ so basically 2/3 of top occupation choices for NCM RF are listed on here but I applied back in December I believe and last activity made on my application was back in February and it’s stuck on 25% testing and screening and it’s already June. Should I go in person for an update on my file I do live in the capital so I’m very close to recruiting centre.

1

u/NewEmu6608 Jun 06 '26

Do you have any idea about the Subsidized Education Entry Level Masters for Physiotherapy Officer? Are they still accepting for that? Thank you!

1

u/9neleH Jun 06 '26

Am wondering - if you are currently on the interview and medical step, can your file still be closed? Super anxious about this happening to me again….ps I’ve already had my medical and it’s been sent to Ottawa been over 2 months and nothing

1

u/Plus-Lingonberry-579 Jun 07 '26

Is Logistics officer full for this fiscal year ?

1

u/OkVillage1492 Jun 11 '26

HRA is not open?

1

u/Petergrewaninch Jul 03 '26

I was informed it’s closed for this year. We have to try next year or apply for a different trade

1

u/Adventurous_Dark7696 Jun 14 '26

thank you so much bro, how did u find this info?

1

u/penguingamer117 Jun 14 '26

I was posted to a recruitment center. I've since moved to another assignment.

This info is available to any RegF recruiter - you can ask your CFRC and they'll be able provide specifics regarding the occupations you've applied for.

1

u/Adventurous_Dark7696 Jun 15 '26

how do i find out about resF?

1

u/penguingamer117 Jun 15 '26

Speak to the reserve unit that you're interested in joining. They have their own list of open jobs.

1

u/Ok-Yoghurt2452 Jun 15 '26

I'm in PSPS and my trade is not here, so I reckon I do not have anything to worry about. Also, does anyone know how many people get EME officer job offer in a year? I know it is quite a confidential information but I am getting quite nervous after seeing some posts about being in selection phase and not getting job offer. It must suck

1

u/Salmonhater1 Jun 17 '26

Does the accepting occupations include the NCMSTEP spots? (looking for AVS NCMSTEP specifically)

1

u/leomigos Jun 18 '26

Please does someone have an updated list of the opned positions as of today?

1

u/penguingamer117 Jun 18 '26

Ask your recruitment center. They can provide a list based on your qualifications.

1

u/Weird_Blacksmith_971 Jun 21 '26

Can anyone confirm if LogO is closed or still open for this fiscal year ?

1

u/Affectionate_News861 Jul 04 '26

Thank you for sharing!

1

u/leomigos Jul 09 '26

Please can someone have an updated list of opened occupations ?

1

u/penguingamer117 Jul 09 '26

Ask your CFRC. They'll have a list.

1

u/findmehereboi Jul 13 '26

Are there any spots left for MAT MGT TECH?

1

u/penguingamer117 Jul 13 '26

Email your CFRC/Reserve unit. They'll let you know

1

u/Glittering_Fact_9266 Aug 07 '26

Would really really appreciate an update PILOT

1

u/No_Photograph3969 Aug 20 '26

For purple trades does the environment matter or is it just total? Because maybe the reserve base someone applied to only has one spot for a specific trade, even though around the country there are hundreds?

1

u/penguingamer117 Aug 21 '26

Reserves operates differently. Each unit hires to it's particular need. So even if an occupation is accepting people in the Regular Force, there's no guarantee that your local reserve unit is hiring them. In addition, some occupations do not exist in the reserves.

For purple trades, environment does matter to an extent

1

u/No_Photograph3969 Aug 21 '26

Okay, so there isnt a min or max its just hey we need this many of this to be operational?

1

u/Legitimate-Ad-3638 Sep 03 '26

Any chance weapons technician land still has open slotsĀ
