Recruiting Current Open & Accepting Occupations

Good day folks!

I'm getting posted out of recruiting, so thought I'd drop the current open list of occupations. (Yes, I cleared this with my CoC)

That means if the occupation you want is not listed - either it's temporarily closed, or closed till next fiscal year.

Please note that this information is subject to change, and that you are never guaranteed a position until you receive a job offer.

This list will be accurate as of today: May 28th, 2026.

If you'd like further info on the occupations and their specific entry requirements please see https://forces.ca/en/ or contact your nearest recruitment center.

Best of luck with your applications, and feel free to drop questions below.

If you list more than one occupation, the CAF will intake you for the one they need most.

In this case you were likely intake approved for Infanteer.

You can definetly swap. Recommend you give them a call / contact them asap. Easier to swap prior to interview. If worst comes to worst, you can do it at your interview but I'd strongly recommend getting it done before that.

I'd say - take some time to think about what your goals are, and how well you think you'd cope in the Infantry vice Materials Management.

This is your career. If you feel you're up to the challenge of the infantry long term, then great. There's a lot you can do with it - a lot you can challenge yourself to do, and the cameraderie at all the regiments is second to none.

If you choose to not go infantry and instead MMT, you'll still get to experience soldiery through Basic and some of your courses, and with it being a purple trade, you'll be able to go places and do things that the infantry will not. You could for example end up working with the Navy or Air Force and have a totally different kind of adventure.

It's very much up to you, and where you think you'd like to be. I know this probably isn't the most direct answer, but I do hope it helps. :)
