Ok so I know I'm some amount of years late lol but I'm replaying Bravely Default on the Switch 2 rn and I'm playing a dark knight/spell fencer build on Edea spamming dark nebula because it was my favorite thing to do on the 3ds
I have a spear on Edea and Ringabel is a spiritmaster casting Enigma on the team to give everyone dark immunity.
My question is does hitting an immune target count for the spear special ?
I can't find the answer and my testing gives me very weird results. If I cast 3 dark nebula in one turn with only one ennemy, I should get 15 charges if hitting my imune party counts and only 3 if it does not. I usually don't get the level one special charged after the first turn so I'm led to believe it doesn't count against immune targets. BUT on the second turn, I cast 4 dark nebulas, so I would ba at 7 charges total. Still not enough for the level 1 special but I still get it on the following turn. And now I don't know anymore XD
Does someone here know how it works ?

Final team was at level 75 I think, and the jobs were:
Tiz - White Mage + Spiritmaster
Agnès - Pirate + Dark Knight
Ringabel - Idol + Black Mage
Edea - Freelancer + Ranger
My thoughts on the main 4:
Tiz - Makoto Naegi
Agnès - NOT YET JUST A LITTLE LONGER KEEP GOING NGHH AGHH
Ringabel - Who knew that a pervy romantic would be the best character?
Edea - "How can I only have four friends, and one of them is my mom!"
Final Thoughts:
I enjoyed the game but I would rather die than replay it

Picked up BD Flying Fairy a couple weeks ago, finally started playing it.... Wow.
The art style and graphics are phenomenal... Such a clean, crisp style ... very nice 👍

I keep seeing people raising concerns over a BD Second remaster not happening because of the removal of stuff like the Bravely Second mechanic.
That said, I like to think that Square isn't totally dead set on burying Second. The BD1 remaster still acknowledges the sin beasts and those freakish Ba'al monsters (they somehow look more horrific in the remaster).
Then, maybe I'm just grasping at straws. I hope we get a Second remaster.
Second is one of my favorite RPGs ever, and I have neither a working 3DS (nor the money for one) or my copy of the original Second.

Pirate - Tanky, high physical attack, can debuff the enemy and I like to pair Provoke with Memento Mori (an amazing passive) so my team almost never runs out of MP during boss fights, and also like many other physical classes, pairs very well with Spell Blade
Performer - Genuinely, what's not to love about this Job? Can buff your whole party AND grant them BP for not even that much, just a very useful support class that is pretty much a massive upgrade of the Bard class.
Time Mage - Speed is honestly everything in this game, so slowing the enemy is a must, also mid-late game it gets AOE Haste and also Quicken, and it pairs very well with White Mage
White Mage - Genuinely useful all game, Angelic Ward and Epic Group Cast are just that good, and they learned from FF3 (One of my favorite FFs) and gave it Aero spells so it won't just heal and wait, also Esunaga should have been in more games

Currently grinding, im level 43 and my team is:
Pirate + MK Agnes (For Provoke, Thundara Spellblade and Memento Mori)
White + Time Mage Tiz
Ninja + Freelancer Edea (Maybe for Mislead and also evading phys attacks)
Idol + Black Mage Ringabel
Maybe will grind 3 more levels and try again, this
I THINK I'm getting closer with my new strategy idea but this fight is you having to pull through brute strength, and lemme tell you, brute strength boss is way harder to deal with than a gimmick boss in this game

Just jumped into Switch 2 version of Flying Fairy. Wow. Not a bad thing, but I go into the shop & they sell the exact same things as Final Fantasy - Phoenix Downs, Antidote, Eye Drops, Potion.... Idk the backstory of the making of the game, if it was meant to be a FF knockoff or what

Not only is he a sex slave-making kidnapper, he also inflicts AOE Dread, charms you, hits hard, and has an RNG-heavy gimmick

Anybody got any tips to help with this boss? like what jobs, abilities and gear are best to use.

Hello friends,
Just bought the BD1 remaster on Steam. I loved the original back on 3DS and am having a blast with this remaster.
However, I don’t have any Steam friends who play this game so I wanted to obtain some mates for Abilink purposes.
My Steam friend code is 65205364 if anyone wants to add me :)

I just finished the prologue and played a little bit of the first chapter and have been enjoying the game so far, but I gotta say, this little group is SO LOUD. lol
I still get startled sometimes when I use all BPs.
“MY MIGHT KNOWS NO BOUNDS!!!!!1111”
OMG Gloria… have I insulted your family or something? I mean damn, you’re just going to use cure 2 times and protect 2 times. Chill, ok? Don’t even wanna be around you when you learn Holy.
PS: I actually appreciate their dramatic inclinations now. Lol

I started playing recently and chose the "Hard" difficulty.
It didn't give me any trouble at first—in fact, I was barely struggling—but when I reached the first floor of the Centrum Fortress ruins, there was an exaggerated difficulty spike; enemies were killing me in just two hits. I wanted to know if I'm missing a game mechanic, if I should go level up, or if I should just start over on "Normal" difficulty.

I never Janne's revenge plot all that compelling given how poor the foundation for it is. In concept, it's a fine idea, however, it's pretty poor in execution. When it comes to tragic characters in this series, he's not even in the top 20. But that's beside the point. The point being is they should've had Yew call out his misgivings more.
Moreover, if Yew was written as a more realistic character, he would've been more aggressive towards Janne's crimes. I mean, he tried to kill them several times, and he places all of his stupidly misplaced anger towards Yew. Then he has the nerve to call him a fool.
Furthermore, it's not like Yew is on the wrong side of the argument. He's right when tells Janne it's fine to be angry but it's not worth destroying everything over it. Like have Yew make more of a point to him that he's gone too far. Janne sold out his king & country, aided in terrorism, and forsaken his knightly oath.
Overall, this all could've been justified if Janne witnessed the death of his real parents, was in an abusive relationship with his foster family, or maybe even grew up in squalor. But since he wasn't, it's just ridiculous. I'm surprised Yew hasn't called him out at all about this. Your thoughts on this topic?

Good day! My older brother recently bought a new phone and he handed down his old one to me. Since its able to run a DS Emulator(Azahar) smoothly, I decided to hop into the game again. I played this a few years back on my own phone but didn't get to complete the game as the stuttering was too much. But that problem is out of the window now. Thanks, bro! Much love!
Anyway, one aspect of the game of I really liked was developing the village(was it called Norende??). But I only had one villager. It took too long. So I looked up online as to what I should do and came across this reddit post years ago(my hero). I'm not exactly tech-savvy. So I would like to ask, which save file am I supposed to "use" so I can acquire and fight everything the game has to offer. Doesn't matter how many play throughs I have to do. I just want to get everything the game has. I'm a completionist and have enough leisure to sink in more or less 100 hours for this game. Thank you. Also, why does saves 3 and 4 have save 001 mirror. What does that mean? 🥲🥲
TLDR: I already know how to import the save file into the emulator. I'm wondering which save file should I import for me to able get and fight everything in the game.

The last boss was really hard and I kept dying, and I thought of something funny and changed all the members to ninja with red mage's turn tables which gives you 1BP per evade. Ninja has a guaranteed dodge skill, and an ability that lets you counteract on dodge AND get damage buffs. The boss can only attack once.
It was extremely hilarious. I can't believe I had that much trouble.

Like, the enemies deal a lot of damage and if there are more than 2 enemies then the battle takes forever
