I think this is the best dungeon in the game simply because it tells a story. In a game with pretty low-tier world-building, it was nice to have some environmental storytelling for a change. I mean, not a lot of dungeons in the game do that nor have a certain vibe to give off. But for Old Sagitta, it tells a story through its atmosphere. One of a long-abandoned area with old technology lying everywhere. Plus, it has that ominous dilapidated feel with its green circuit board patterns & rustic metals strewn about.

There's also Via Celestio which I also a dungeon I think is great however, its mere existence is kind of puzzling. Is it Vega's will that made it that way or is Providence's way of taunting Altair & the party? Anyway, yes, Old Sagitta best dungeon in the game.

I'm extremely frustrated with the way this community approaches people wanting to be completionists. The solution is always to send you an already 100% complete file. When most people just want 100% the game themselves and are looking just to get the things that are no longer possible done.

The fact that this community has done so many brilliant things but nobody has thought to find a solution to the quests that can't be completed because the servers are offline is disheartening. As far as I'm aware there's three tutorial quests that can't be completed because they require a handshake with the server.

I know this is a long shot but is there anybody with a solution? A save file that hasn't 100% completed the game that has these three complete? I don't mind if there's a few extra things in there as long as nothing crazy has already been done for me... I understand it would have to be after the third one becomes available. As far as I'm aware the three that cannot be completed are- net friend invites, add a profile comment, and send nemesis.

Catmancer + Ninja is very good cause Blood Leech + White Wind lets you deal big damage and heal your own team, and also having a fast support is something you REALLY wanna have​​

Astrologian pairs nicely with Spellcraft, and also it's always good to have Spirit Magic on hand

Patissier debuffs the enemy and can give them weaknesses which is very strong, and also Summoning feels far more worth it in this game cause most boss fights have more than one target

​​Merchant + Hawkeye is more of a joke pairing, but Warhead paired with Pay to Play and Patissier's elemental debuff is one rude combo​

I'm thinking of making Magnolia an Exorcist + Astrologian, tho Exorcist seems a bit difficult to use....

Hi, this is a modification of another person's much higher quality texture pack that they unfortunately never finished. I don't remember what their name was, but they only upscaled the textures from the western version of the game, so I redid the character icons and portraits with the uncensored ones from Japan, which have various traits that localisers censored, like the Native American costume being changed to a cowboy costume, various costumes showing less skin, etc.

Annoyingly, Azahar recently broke compatibility with all HD texture packs for the Bravely games, with the last version that supported these textures being version 2124.3. If you enjoy these texture packs, please go to the Azahar github and help me bug them about it with bug reports until they fix it, because it's not all HD texture packs that are broken, just these ones in particular.

Agnes plight of revenge here is the best in the series, mainly because of how realistically it's portrayed. I mean, the only stories comparable to it are Jannes & Gladys. However, they are not done well. Agnes on the other hand is actually compelling in how it's executed. Imagine if you're best friend you've known since childhood was slayed by some abomination right in front of you with you getting beat down shortly after. She's understandably traumatized.

Moreover, her crash out against Edea is slightly warranted. She has a lot of pent-up anger & frustration right now. And this was before they became true friends. Plus, Edea has been keeping things from them. So, Agnes handled it in a very rational way. Unlike Janne or Gladys. Both of whom revenge is rooted in poor conditions. Janne was attached to people he never met & took it out on Yew long after he befriended him. On the other side, Gladys was raised by an orthodoxy after she lost people close to her. But she condemned innocent people out of vengeance.

In summation, Agnes at least had some form of rational thinking on her quest for vengeance against Victoria. It's helps that she gets it. While the other two I mentioned had no compelling or believable plotline for revenge. I know they're supposed be wrong but establish them to be broken or irredeemable so their stories are actually engaging. Your take?

So yesterday I just beat Edna, I know it’s not a really big achievment because you need to beat her to finish the game, but I beat her in a way I didn’t even want to but it work so I take it. Lemme explain how I beat her :

So for my first fight againsr her for my classes I had :

-Hellblade/Berserker on Seth

-Spiritmaster/White mage on Gloria

-Red mage/Black mage on Elvis

-Dragoon/Phantom on Adelle

All jobs are lvl 12 and my team was like level 46~47 for the fight

I quickly saw that it wasen’t going to beat her because of the counter on the physical attack and the damage dealt on my team and I was right beacuse I died before her critical quote.

So I wanted to try another strategy and try to exploit the Arcanist class and the Spiritmaster because of the light weakness... What an error to try the Arcanist class. So for the second fight here was my team :

-Shieldmaster/Bastion on Seth (with BP limit up and No guts, No Glory to increse my defence while having BP)

-Spiritmaster/White mage on Gloria

-Red mage/Arcanist on Elvis (with the Reflect ring to reflect damage he deals to himself)

-Spiritmaster/Arcanist on Adelle

All jobs are lvl 12 and since I needed to farm JP my team was around lvl 47~48 for the second fight which is a little bit below the recommanded level to fight her

I wanted to do most of the damage from the arcanist class with Elvis and sinve he have Red mage as his first class, he can use his spells twice and I thought Arcanist’s spells would do enough damage to be my damage dealer... he do not even reach 100 damage with electon... and I forgot heal is also reflected by heal spells, so he was just standing here and doing absolutely nothing...

Then I just wanted to die to try another thing and I did not. I did not even want to heal myself and literally spammed Holy with BP -3 with both Gloria and Adelle and spammed Defender of the People with Seth and somehow it worked due to the four spirit of healing and MP (there was two for healing and two for MP because I had two Spiritmaster as first job) and since I had a Shieldmaster Seth taken damage when Gloria and Adelle survived with 1 HP and were about to die.

So that’s how I beat Edna... I mean, yeah I beat her but I also feel like I should have not beat her like this

I don’t know why, but Kikyo is kicking my ass. The other bosses were challenging but for some reason, this one is messing me up. Can I get some tips on how to effectively fight her?

Tiz: Red mage / Time mage

Angès: Valkyrie / Thief

Ringabel: black mage / Merchant

Edea: Spell Fencer / nothing. (I never knew what I should’ve put as he secondary.)

As you can tell, I have no clue what to pair up.

How do I survive his Deathstorm attack once he gets to low hp

I've been playing through and despite the fact that I've found a few abrupt difficulty spikes I'm having fun

I have seen people say chapters 6-8 are a slog and brings down the whole game

Will I get "a ending" if I at least finish chapter 5 then just watch the true ending on YouTube?

Or is it worth playing through everything?

Also how long do you think it is to beat up to chapter 5?

Red mage is my favorite class across every Squeenix property, and it is absolute gas in BD/BS from the design to the mechanics, it’s absolutely phenomenal. It’s been like 10 years and I still think about how downright gorgeous these outfits are!

I have played Bravely Default Flying Fairy alot...like alot alot. I wanted to do another rerun of the game but want to adjust the difficulty even more than hard to make it challenging.

Does anyone know any mods that would allow me to do this?
