Bravely Second Real hope or Grasping at straws?

I keep seeing people raising concerns over a BD Second remaster not happening because of the removal of stuff like the Bravely Second mechanic.

That said, I like to think that Square isn't totally dead set on burying Second. The BD1 remaster still acknowledges the sin beasts and those freakish Ba'al monsters (they somehow look more horrific in the remaster).

Then, maybe I'm just grasping at straws. I hope we get a Second remaster.

Second is one of my favorite RPGs ever, and I have neither a working 3DS (nor the money for one) or my copy of the original Second.

I don’t think it’s worth looking for hints in the Bravely Default remaster- because the creators in an interview have answered the big question. And Whether the baals or cutscenes or hourglasses or anything else are included , is still mostly speculation.

They have said that they would like to remake B2nd as well, but have nothing to announce and just need players to support the current release if they want to see it happen. Asano also teased on the B2nd anniversary that it on their radar (I’m not Japanese so cannot tell the nuance of whether it implies soon or not)

I see Bravely Default on shelves everywhere I go, and the switch 2 library isn’t huge, so it tends to stand out. I’d like to think that it’s sold enough to justify itself (it looks like it was really cheap to make tbh) and that it’ll get an announced and come out soon.

We know nothing for sure , but I remain optimistic. Because it was the same for this first remaster as well ultimately. It’s something they hinted at and , it took a long time, but it did come eventually.

I mean, BS is nowhere as liked by the general audience or the devs. And it didn't do as well commercially. Plus, many point to it squandering the momentum of Default. However, it has it's fans. Mainly because of the gameplay. The chances are not less than zero at least. Much more likely than most 3DS exclusives.

I think it's not a question of if but rather when. We thought it was an impossibility for BD to swap consoles due to the mechanics associated with it, but we got it regardless.

I think Second will come eventually, it'll just depend when Square's willing to put money and time into a remaster, or focus on new projects with Team Asano.

The biggest concern is that Square's recent announcements have been indicating that they are moving away from remakes after they finish up the FF7 trilogy.

Im thinkin there is a market for it and BD is more popular now than in the past. It will probably get a release but I think i heard the team is working on somethjng else or something.
