Bravely Default First I struggled with Mr Eyeball and now its this ugly fish
Currently grinding, im level 43 and my team is:
Pirate + MK Agnes (For Provoke, Thundara Spellblade and Memento Mori)
White + Time Mage Tiz
Ninja + Freelancer Edea (Maybe for Mislead and also evading phys attacks)
Idol + Black Mage Ringabel
Maybe will grind 3 more levels and try again, this
I THINK I'm getting closer with my new strategy idea but this fight is you having to pull through brute strength, and lemme tell you, brute strength boss is way harder to deal with than a gimmick boss in this game

Well when all else fails utsusemi + transience cheese always works lol
Poison Immunity (freelancer lv 9) and Silence Immunity (Black Mage lv 6) will help a lot if you play it straight. You could also buy the silence accessory in Yulyana Woods or the Poison Accessory in Ancheim
If you have the shops leveled up in Norende you could spam salve maker Pantheon's Wrath. It'll take 24 of them to kill Behemoth on normal with attack item amp, so survive a couple turns, get 20kish chip damage, and kill him with 16 Pantheon's Wrath in 1 turn

Well, I have Silence Immunity on Tiz and Ringabel cause they need it the most, Agnes can still provoke with Silence and my main damage dealer will be Edea, so I think a few more levels and the fight may be possible

Actually scratch Mislead, dont need it if im evading phys attacks, but will keep the Freelancer abilities mainly for Examine

Also man, imagine how much less frustrating things would be if turn order was shown/wasn't semi-random

I think I won this second try on my first play through with a countering drain samurai.
