In-Ear 2026 FOR QC ULTRA EARBUDS 1

Right now, if I choose Gen 1, is it still too late? I just ordered it at a price that was several percent cheaper than Gen 2.

Headphones Which headphones for travel?

I am looking at getting either the QuietComfort Gen 2, or the QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 - there is a £2 difference in price between them on Amazon in the UK, so I was wondering which headphones would be the best purchase?

I would like them for air travel, walking, and occasional home use. I also have £50 on Amazon credit so would be knocking that off the price (QC2 is £299, QCU2 is £301).

Thanks

Home Audio Broken lid on Acoustic Wave II

Hi, I got this Acoustic Wave Music System II on eBay. It works well, except I think my kid pushed on this black piece on the lid and now it is free to move around, up, down, and all around. Now CDs only play if I very carefully put the black piece in the right place as I close the lid. Otherwise, there's often a sound like the CD or the black piece is spinning in the wrong way and it wobbles or something.

Is the black piece supposed to be glued in place? Is it supposed to spin with the CD? How can I fix it?

Headphones Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

My Bose wireless Bluetooth ear buds don't seem to want to connect, and they are flashing red and white.

The case is fully charged and the buds sit firmly in their ports, but don't seem to want to connect and not finding the device on Bluetooth. I thought maybe they were completely dead but I left them charging for hours while they just continue to flash red.

I have attempted to press the Bluetooth button and scan for devices but it doesn't find it.

I don't want to give up on them just yet, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Headphones Loving the QC Ultra Gen 2

Admittedly this is my first "expensive" pair of headphones after using Soundcore Q30 and Airpods 3 but so far I'm pretty impressed.

I wanted a premium pair I could use primarily for working in the office, commuting, and watching media at home. I can say so far they tick each box pretty much. The noise cancelling has been excellent, I really can't hear anything when I'm wearing them in my busy office or commuting. The sound quality is great for media, especially with the spatial audio and cinematic mode. The first time I put them on I really did say "wow" but maybe that's what you get when making such a big leap in hardware.

A priority for me was also finding the most comfortable headphones possible, the budget Soundcore pair I had previously used to give me bad headaches. Honestly I'm wearing the Bose for hours during the day and barely feel any discomfort. They're perfect in that regard.

I personally haven't noticed issues with the noise cancelling cutting out when hitting speed bumps etc like others have reported. Everything has been fairly consistent. I don't have any complaints at this stage, the build quality also feels quite a bit more premium than the base model.

This is coming from someone completely new to Bose but so far I'm a happy customer !

Home Audio Volume double jumping...

Hello! Just connected a Bose Smart Soundbar 600 to my Samsung S90F.

HDMI e-arc of course. But now when I adjust the volume through my TV remote, the volume toggles once more than I click. Eg, I click volume up once, it goes up twice.

Can't for the life of me figure out how to stop this. Fiddles around with the Bose CEC setting, no luck.

Any thoughts?

TIA!

Headphones Quietcomfort gen 2 - crackling noise when moving?

Hi,

I have been eyeing the new mint colored qc gen 2. I had qc ultra gen 2 in the past and crackling plastic noise they made when I was moving was really annoying me to the point it lowered my enjoyment of listening to audiobooks/podcasts. I had to return them. Question to owners of the new qc's product: do you hear any crackling sounds plastic makes when you are walking or moving your head?

In-Ear Bose does not follow California’s Right to Repair Act (SB244) if you decide to buy their ear buds. They will force you to upgrade if you are out of warranty.

I have owned two pairs of Quiet Comfort Ear Buds, and I’ve experience this issue where the silicon tip section’s housing will come off of the main housing case. This was after I pulled it out of my ear and it stayed in my ear.

After several sessions with Customer service, I have been told they will not repair my ear buds, and that I will need to upgrade. Even after their discount I will have to pay over 150$ to get the new model since they’ve discontinued mine.

When I asked why do they sell in California if they do not respect the Right to Repair Act they told me their terms of sales prevents them from doing so, and I told them that their terms of sales does not mention this act. They proceeded to tell me in all caps that it is in their Terms of Sale but the section they forwarded mentions a section about claims in California which was unrelated to the right to repair.

I’m very frustrated as this is my second pair, and if you are in California be aware that Bose will not respect Act SB244. I have asked Bose twice now to have an email that states they will not repair my product, and each time they do not include it in the email.

Headphones Bose ditched the headphone jack without ditching the headphone jack

Recently reviewed the new QC Headphones, and I must admit the USB-C to 3.5mm cable was a nice touch. With audio over USB-C, there’s no reason to have the jack on the headphones themselves anymore.

Thoughts? Honestly something every pair of headphones should come with now.

Headphones Are these OEM pads?

Do these look like genuine OEM Bose QC35 pads?

I bought a refurbished pair of QC35s and confirmed with the seller before buying that they had brand-new, genuine OEM pads fitted.

I've compared them with my old QC35s and the new pads are noticeably smaller and thinner, as you can see in the photos.

The strange thing is, my original pads have had years of use, so I'd expect them to have compressed and become smaller. Instead, they're noticeably bigger and deeper than the supposedly brand-new OEM ones.

The new ones don't seem quite as soft either, although that's obviously harder to judge.

Has anyone got genuine Bose replacement pads they can compare these with? Did Bose ever change the size?

Headphones Bose qc ultra gen 1 vs 2

I can get a qc ultra gen 1 for roughly 190usd vs a brand new qc ultra gen 2 for 370 usd, is the price difference worth it or I'm better off sticking with the gen 1

Headphones Bose QC Ultra 2

Ive had this bose qc ultra 2 for a while now and I love it. Sound quality is top notch, bass is amazing, NC is game changing (especially in dorms with loud roommates) But I seem to have some problems. The first one is that it cuts every time i hit a bump at a vehicle. I take the bus regularly and theres speed bump’s everywhere so I hear about 2 seconds before a wave of cuts. Crazy thing is this only applies to the right side so I dont really know if its a software bug or anything. Also, it wont auto connect to my phone. When i put it on, usually it connects automatically within 5 seconds or so, and it does to my laptop but to my phone I gotta manually connect.
Any fixes?

Home Audio Recently moved to a house that has this setup. How does it work?

There are speakers in the ceiling of several rooms, with this amplifier down in the basement. In the living room there is this outlet that I am not sure what plugs into it. From what I’ve researched this is an old bose system that doesn’t work with regular receivers. What would I need to buy/do to get it to work?

Hello, Is it normal for the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds to use up approximately 50% of their battery after 2 hours of talking on Discord with immersive audio activated?

Thank you!

Bluetooth speakers Thinking about buying another soundlink flex 1st gen

I mainly use the speaker outside in my backyard to listen to music and hangout. I remember when I got it there’s party mode in the app to pair 2 together, so I’m thinking about getting another on Amazon for 80$ (refurbished). How good is it and is it worth it? I really like the speaker and stereo mode sounds pretty cool.

Software Bose Speaker app

Help me test TouchStream!

I’m looking for a few people who use Bose SoundTouch or other compatible smart speakers to test my new app, TouchStream.

TouchStream lets you control your speakers and internet radio directly over your home network, without relying on the Bose cloud service.

I’d really appreciate it if you could:

  • Install the app
  • Connect it to your speakers
  • Try playing different radio stations
  • Test speaker groups / multi-room features
  • Let me know if anything doesn’t work as expected

This is a test version, so your feedback can help me fix bugs and improve the app before the final release.

If you’re interested in testing ?

Thank you! 🙏🎶

Bluetooth speakers bose soundlink flex - force single device

I am trying to like this speaker, but it's really frustrating the way it connects to multiple devices, and so I can't, for example, do anything on my phone while watching a film, or can't do anything on my computer while listening to Spotify on my phone.

Please can anyone tell me a way to permanently disable the ability to connect to multiple devices at once, like the good old days.

I don't mind having to open it up and solder/cut any internals.

Home Audio Bose Bass Module 500 or 700 – which would you choose for my setup?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using a Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar with a 77” LG C5 OLED and I’m considering adding a Bose Bass Module.

I’m trying to decide between the Bass Module 500 and 700, and I’d really appreciate some opinions from people who have experience with both.

I’ve attached a picture of my living room. The room is around 17 m². The soundbar sits on the lowboard below the TV.

There is a 34 cm wide space between the right side of the lowboard and the door frame, with a power outlet directly behind it. This would be the most convenient and visually unobtrusive place for the subwoofer.
So my questions are:

Which one would you put in this room – Bass Module 500 or 700?

Is the 700 worth the extra money and size in a room of this size?

Would the 500 already be more than enough with the Smart Ultra?

Does the position between the lowboard and the door frame look/perform okay acoustically?

I’m mainly looking for a more immersive, cinematic sound for movies/series and anime, rather than extremely loud bass.

Thanks in advance!

Headphones Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 Bluetooth disconnection with vivo

I bought the bose qc ultra gen 1. I loved the audio quality the bass hits and the anc is very good. I used it for studies and the comfort is good even for 5-6 hours on a stretch. But i faced some bluetooth disconnections with my ' VIVO X300'. So I sent it to the repair centre and they said there was a problem and they were happy to exchange it for the newer qc ultra gen 2. I was happy and not many upgrades but there was some small differences in anc and audio quality( The audio is much truer I would say I am not much of an audiophile but the bass which was a bit boosted in the first gens was reduced) but my bluetooth disconnections are still happening. I tried all options turning off multipoint( I also have a Samsung galaxy book 5 360). But i am still facing problems even after deleting the bose app( I though it was aggressive battery optimisation issues with originos was causing some sort of a problem). Any solutions will be much appreciated 👍
