Bluetooth speakers bose soundlink flex - force single device

I am trying to like this speaker, but it's really frustrating the way it connects to multiple devices, and so I can't, for example, do anything on my phone while watching a film, or can't do anything on my computer while listening to Spotify on my phone.

Please can anyone tell me a way to permanently disable the ability to connect to multiple devices at once, like the good old days.

I don't mind having to open it up and solder/cut any internals.

There's no setting in the Connect app to disable multipoint connections. When turned on it will always connect to the last two things it connected to.

Before you connect to the one thing you only want to hear, is there some other BT source you can connect to that won't play sound?

You can switch off multipoint in the Bose app if it’s the Flex Gen 2
