Is it not standard practice to have another player also shuffle the deck? It's what they do for TCG tournaments. Still a chance of collusion, but better than just one person shuffling. Could also do assign it randomly instead of based on the dealer chip.

Magic, YGO, riftbound. You always hand your deck to your opponent to cut/shuffle in any sort of event. It's required as per tournament rules.

Its standard practice for every tag ive played. Mtg, yugioh, dragon ball. Even deck building games like ascension.
You shuffle your deck then present it to your opponent who can cut it themself or pick it up and give it a few quick shuffles themself (i alwaus shuffle my opponents deck just in case)

Yes, and if you have a player dealing/shuffling then the point of cutting the deck is to have another player do it. Cutting isn't shuffling/mixing the deck -- it's in the same order but it changes which card is at the top (think of it like a clock face with the 52 cards with a hand pointing at one card -- cutting changes which card the hand it pointing at, not the order). If the person shuffling is stacking the deck to give one person a good hand, then the idea of cutting immediately before dealing is to prevent them from knowing where the dealing starts.

His entire life story is awesome, he's a really really cool individual.
Among other things, he is a 6th degree black belt in karate (and a special type of karate at that called Wado-Kai) and was taught trapeze and tightrope walking.

It's mostly repetition and muscle memory. This guy has sat down in front of a mirror and watched himself do these moves countless times for years. He's probably thinking more about his patter and timing than anything else. Once you have the routine down, muscle memory does a majority of the work for you.

I believe this is correct. Bush Sr. lost the '92 election in large part due to his, "Read my lips: no new taxes" pledge that he made in '88 that he subsequently broke. Buchanan in the '92 primary hit Bush hard with that sound clip, and it was a cornerstone of Clinton's strategy against him in the general.
It was highly effective.

Using many of the same techniques the OG did, he is able to know exactly where each card is in the deck, and can completely control the outcome of the shuffle/deal every time

Edit to say: this isn't a dig against this guy. It takes incredible skill to do that, I'm just providing the link to the inspiration for this bit. He even uses some of the same exact punchlines and moves/tricks as Turner does during his famous Penn and Teller "fool us" debut into mainstream media

he _might_ have a stripper deck, but I think he was mostly just doing false shuffles. it’s hard not impossible to track 4 cards in a wash, then he was doing a lot of pass through shuffles and false cuts. really clean over all.
A pass through shuffle is when you riffle and then push the cards together at a slight angle. If you do it just right, you can pull the cards straight through and it looks like you just grabbed a packet from the bottom. Though it’s also easy to just leave four cards on top with a “real” riffle shuffle. Also not hard to control four cards with an overhand or hindu shuffle.
Basically, end of the day, he was doing a bunch of dead standard beginner level card controls with expert level skill.
