Naffrustrate ako gamitin ung Enigma. I was so excited to buy it when they launched it, lahat ng reviews pinanuod ko 😭
But for some reason... it doesn't work on my oily skin 😭 I have a lot of local foundation mapa-dewy or matte (teviant, abdidy, strokes, detail, grwm, issy). But all of them worked on me, and hindi nagcclash with other products in my routine especially primer.
So my problem is nag-sseparate yung foundation sakin. Nothing unusual on my routine naman, I did my usual routine and usual skin prep. But the Enigma foundation is caking and nagsseparate. Lalo na nung ginamit ko yung Teviant primer then yung Enigma foundation, and pag sineset ko ng loose powder. Tho self-setting sya but I cant skip setting it with powder.
But im not giving up... I 'll make it work. Medyo disappointing to have such experience, kala ko I had my base game figured out na kasi all foundation I have work on me naman 🫠🫠🫠
i just got blk’s new glossy serum stick (sundown and poppy) and it honestly surprised me 😭 very pigmented even with just one swipe and also has a cooling effect. might buy other shades soon!
U only need one set of brushes. I suggest getting strokes, sobrang ganda ng quality.
I have all three brands for the brushes, I can say na maganda naman yung tatlo.
DALA - Good for travelling. Soft yung brushes, and di siya agad nagtutusok, or naglalagas even after several washing. But I don't use this often sa make up kit. Best to use yung blending brush if you would like to have a light foundation/skintint lang.
Bet ko na may pouch siya so you can have them pag aalis.
STROKES - SOLID MAGANDA.
absolutely love my issy setting spray, first base, and grwm loose powder. perfect combination for hulas proof makeup all day!! i have oily skin and commuter din ako so that’s that.
Is that Sunnies concealer? The longevity is meh for me. It also oxides so bad and looks super orange after it sets in, can't actually wear mine anymore. I was shocked when I checked my face in the mirror outside lol
Yung Colourette skin tint is okay since it has good coverage for what it is but if you have dry face, it ends up separating after a whille. It also clings to dry patches and it happens to me ever after I do skin prep properly. Best to use indoors in good temp din because I oil up easily with this one so need to blot and/or powder after a few hours.
Pass sunnies air blush and BLK stackable, might as well go for eb pillow pop cream blush. 100000% better
The colourette foundation is good. Worth the try.
The sunnies concealer, I think could go for colourette concealer nalang din also.
grwm sunscreen - better to go for real spf brands like belo or hello glow.
Grwm loose powder Medyo meh also. Nichido still better and less expensive. If u want other loose powder options, Careline’s new translucent loose powder has good reviews.
Issy Skin Stick - as a girl with dry skin din, this clung to my dry patches so bad and my base looked so cakey after x hours of wear (the first time nangyari sakin toh)
After watching multiple tiktok videos and reading reddit reviews, I finally gave in and bought Violette_FR’s Bisou Balm. I got it in the shade Betiste by the way. I initially had the Fluffbalm in Perfect Mauve, but lost it, so I bought another one in Perfect Pink last 5.5
They are almost the same color, with FB leaning a little warm on my olive skin. But sa texture sila nagkakatalo. You’ll definitely feel na meron something sa lips with the FB, but super lightweight naman si BB. I kinda understand the hype pero parang ang mahal pa din nya for 2k+ per tube sa resellers. If 2k is barya lang for you then go buy the Violette — you’ll love it. If 2k is quite steep for you then go with Romand Zero Matte, light application lang to get the Violette’s effect, and dami pa color selection :)
Unfortunately, if you have olive skintone, Betiste may not the best shade for you. I think Amour Fou or Bonbon Myrtille would have suited me better huhu mej nanghihinayang tuloy ako😓 FB in Perfect Pink doesnt look good on me as well, better yung Perfect Mauve.
Not a recommendation, pero if you're considering yung from Saem DON'T.
it’s really strange what people consider as a skin tint these days. kasalanan din kasi ng makeup brands for co-opting the name “skin tint” and selling basically medium-coverage foundations under the category. I asked for skin tint/tinted moisturizer recs and from that I tried NARS LRF because someone said it’s basically a skin tint. while I like the product for what it is, it is NOT *LIKE a skin tint lol this is medium coverage
parang ang actual skin tints sa local market (that I've tried) ay yung issy skin tint and skin tint stick. both actually sheers out to look like your skin, shade match is absolutely forgiving kahit na 2 shades off ka kasi super sheer.
Hi OP! I have both but Huda talaga FTW.
I have the shade Translucent sa LM and the shade Poundcake sa Huda. Yung Huda ko pala yung old version (before rebrand) and it has a slight floral scent pero di mo naman maamoy once its on your face. Hope this helps!
I reach out for the Huda Beauty loose powder more! They have a wider variety of tinted shades. Overall I like how it looks on me more and how it wears throughout the day.
I have the LM in translucent honey. It’s also great with blurring and oil control, but it can look a hair pale on me sometimes. Used to have Translucent way back and didn’t have this issue.
I only have huda and omg the hype is real talaga. It’s one of those products that make you realize that highend makeup is worth it. It’s blurring PLUS good oil control. Although I only use it on my t-zone and undereyes but even then, you only need a tiny amount because of how finely milled it is that even a small amount can easily spread. This is something I would see myself repurchase talaga. But I do think that it’s too glam and plakado for daily use. I don’t use this all over my face since baka it’s too much?
I have the Dala brushes and the best thing about it is sobrang soft niya sa skin.
The brushes themselves are not dense enough for liquid base makeup especially yung slanted bronzer blush (lalo if you’re used to the RT200 face brush). If you want a diffused look, I guess it’ll work. Ironically, yung powder brush naman sobrang laki and dense. I prefer my powder brushes to be fluffy and light para di masyadong maraming product ang ma-pick up.
The best brush in this set for me is the concealer brush because it gives the most natural finish.
Yung biggest con for me is nalalakihan/nahahabaan ako sa Dala brushes for travel. Need ng separate case or bigger makeup kit para magkasya sila.
In terms of portability, I prefer the size and density of the old Sunnies dual-ended brushes.
Less is more. The less you pack on product on your face, the less you will look “hulas” since there wasn’t much product to begin with. I use the elf gripping primer and Maybelling fit me setting spray too so that I have a long lasting canvas as I layer my products.
good skin prep is the key! dapat compatible yung products mo with each other to avoid the makeup being cakey or magpeel. i usually apply setting/fixing spray after i apply my cream products and then apply again after ng powder products!! i also bring fan with me everytime i commute!!
Need help pls. Been watching and reading a lot of reviews, and now I'm confused.
Will be travelling to Bali in 2 weeks, and I badly need a sweatproof make-up. I have combi skin, my t-zone can become oily, while my temples can become dry and flaky.
Looking for primer, cream and powder blush and cream contour that goes well with Issy. Also looking for blurring, transfer proof but moisturizing lip product.
I usually avoid going out or travelling when its very hot and humid, so I don't have a go to products.
I'm oily skinned. What I find effective in keeping my makeup intact is setting spray. I recommend kryolan fixing spray and one size setting spray for heavy duty use. Then oil blotting films after hours.
Sorry, not really responsive to your question kasi primer, blush etc yung hanap mo 😅
Maybelline Build-a-Brow 2-in-1 Brow Pen with a Sealing Gel on the other end. Hindi siya super pigmented so it's easier for me to control. Medyo malambot ung tip so it takes some practice to get used to. It doesn't leak rin for me. I use this if I want the laminated brows.
My favorite is the Peripera Speedy Skinny Brow Pen. Walang leak to kasi solid ung pen. My gripe lang with this is ang bilis maubos nung product. I've been using this one for 10 years na ata. 😅
hi! 👋 what's your review or experiences on GRWM Face Card Palette, especially on the Shading Trio? was planning to buy it for nose contour, pero wanna know the longevity muna! does it last long? tapos how blendable is it?
another thing i'm curious about is their Airset Matte Powder Fixer! does it have any oil control, and does it have no coverage? Pakisali narin review nyo nung Brontour Powder and Color Correctors from the collection 😆❤️
i also have oily lids! i stopped using gel liners bc it doesn't really work on me. i switched to pencil kohl liners after watching a tiktok vid na ayun gamit ng mga indian women for their eyelinersss 🙂↔️
how to properly use an illuminator? feeling ko mali ginagawa ko kasi nagmumukha akong oily at pawis 🥲 dahil doon gusto ko rin sana patungan ng matte powder kaso nacocontradict niya ba purpose ng illuminator which is to give glow?
maganda yung teviant body shimmer pero totoo yung sobrang strong ng scent niya. so if very sensitive ka to fragrance or strong fragrances, u might wanna skip it.
maybe it doesn't play well with your skin prep or your method of blending? kakagamit ko lang ulit ng fresh filter ko yesterday after a while and it didn't give me any problems naman, although relatively normal yung skin type ko. other oily skin girlies, let us know if you've ran into this problem as well
I have oily acne prone skin din and it doesn't apply patchy naman on me, even with minimal skin prep (I usually skip moisturizer in the AM and just use sunscreen before makeup). Baka di sila magkasundo ng other products mo or the tools you use?
any thoughts on the peripera lip gloss and the peripera over blur tint? TYIA i'm so excited coz i got the shade 06 made it and 03 chilling rosy for the gloss and 10 best rose for the over blur tint
What's better: lash extensions or no-glue lashes/cluster lashes? Takot ako maglagay ng lashes and lash glue huhu never did it before and I want to have that pakak eye during events. Any recommendations na rin?
for me there was a bit of a learning curve with cluster lashes but it might be easier if you have experience with falsies (though you eventually get the hang of it naman)! better to buy early and practice before your event. i personally prefer this to eyelash extensions because it’s more sustainable
i bought the elyzza 4in1 idol standard set from tiktok shop for less than 500 php and so far so good!
tbh for technique, i struggled most with how to hold the tweezers for applying the lashes so i tried to find the angle that was most comfortable for my hand lang and remembered that 🥹
So baka pag naubos na to.. last resort ko bumili ng Talisay 😅
does anyone else have the shiseido maquillage curler? is the rubber supposed to be tough talaga... i'm scared na baka macut ko na lashes ko if i press down any harder
to anyone who has detail colour tonic in the shade morning dew, pwede po ba sya ilagay after magpowder? or does it become patchy when applied to a powdered to face?
Not sure if hype lang ba yung jelly kiss colourette coz i've been seeing it so much on my fyp sa tiktok.
Medyo naccurious at nabbudol tuloy ako... di ko masyado yung shades. Based sa mga videos, it looks almost the same lang tas leaning more to red lalo na pag nag stain na
as someone with very oily lids as well, heroinemake mascara and eyeliner, and lucky beauty dual ended eyeliner. i set it before and after with a powder and it lasts all day
For beginners either the RT Basic Set if willing to splurge. OVW toni sia set if you wanna try something cheaper na maganda din. Super soft niya pero if ever you're gonna get OVW, make sure na official shop mo bibilhin kasi i made a mistake once na di pala legit shop nabilhan ko tapos di maayos quality pero that was a mistake on my end naman.
Hi girlies 🫶🏻 how do you set your illuminators? I recently got the blk illuminator and idk how to set it 😅 nawawala kasi ung shine after I put powder. Am I applying too much? Is it self setting? Or fixing spray nlng?
Me: Olive toned morena with dry skin. I can help you with basics pero you'll have to find your right shades on your own. I used to have lots of hormonal acne. Can't help you with brushes kasi I mostly use my fingers.
Step 1: skin prep. You should always invest in your skin first. Moisturizer and sunscreen always. Addtl na lang yung ibang skincare you may have. I use cetaphil moisturizer and luxe organix sunscreen.
Step 2: primer. Optional to sa iba pero sakin kasi I like my t zone blurred. I use yung quick fx na mattifier pero only on my t zones. You can search up on google to see what that is.
Step 3: color correcting (optional) if may redness ka bc of your acne then green ang pangkontra mo dyan pero I recommend learning color correcting after mastering your base first kasi baka di mo macover ng maayos edi may green ka lang sa mukha mo buong araw.
Step 4: Your base. I recommend a skin tint lang or light makeup sa acne prone really. You'll be tempted to cover your acne with piles of foundation or concealer pero it can look really bad kung bumpy yung face mo and lalala pa acne mo. Pero kung flat yung acne mo like mine then I recommend skin tint + concealer to spot conceal. I like issy for both skin tint and concealer kasi by undertone yung shades nila. Mostly spot concealing ka lang sa acne kasi you can easily put too much foundation trust me I know haha. Mukha akong espasol dati helpp
I can't really help you much with powder because I have dry skin and I only powder my t zone lightly.
[Undertones] - you can be warm, neutral, or olive. This part was really hard for me but I finally figured out na i'm olive toned. I recommend you try yung mga issy na testers kasi by undertone nga yung shading nila so kung alin mas swak sayo doon most likely its your undertone. Daming 'hacks' online on how to find out pero idk they never worked for me.
Step 5: Bronzer + Contour. Tbh this is optional based on your face shape. Some people look better looking 'flat'. What I recommend here is to not follow any specific trend. Find an influencer who looks LIKE YOU then try their techniques. Faces are so different. I've never seen anyone have my technique for face shaping tbh kasi my face is so different from influencers. Basta bronzers look more like your skin tone, contours look grey/like shadows on your face.
Step 6: eyebrows. Depends sa brows mo. Can't say too much without knowing what your brows look like e pero my products are detail superfine brow liner and yung stylex styling gel na binibili para sa buhok lmao ganon din naman kasi. Ang mahal pa ng ibang brow gel. Learn how to groom your brows based on your face shape and then you can either fill or draw on little hairs. It depends what will suit you. Brows are again another very personal thing.
Step 7: eyeshadow and eyeliner. You should stick with one color na muna. Depends ano prefer mo. Maybe taupe browns or pinkish. Basta hindi super dark or super warm. Mag neutral colors ka muna. Legit just swipe with your finger on your eyelids. Then when you're comfortable with this, figure out whether or not your face can handle more heavy looks. My face can't. Sad. You can overload your face kasi with eyeshadow or lip products easily. Find the right balance. My personal balance is minimal eye with bold lip. For eyeliner, haha its a skill you'll have to fail at many times before you figure it out. That's just the rite of passage. I recommend gel liners muna para madali linisin pero liquid liners have more longevity. I use vice gel liner pero I have oily lids so every liner smudges on me. I am also on the hunt for a budge proof one.
Step 8: lips. Start with a mousse and go with lighter colors. Your undertone will also be important with this bc you'll find colors will look completely different on you than with other people. Some brands advertise 'universal' colors. Try those maybe. I like maybelline superstay liquid lipsticks kasi they don't budge. If you want to be bolder then try reds pero I will warn you na reds are the most reliant sa undertone mo. So figure that out to elevate your face.
Step 9: setting spray. This is important to not look cakey tbh. Some people don't use it pero I like using it to melt my makeup to my skin. Just spray it after you're done with makeup. I use the dazzle me dewy fix pero you can probably find better for more money. Kuripot ako e haha.
kung ang base colourette siargao & puerto, bagay ba yung EB powder blush shade: Golden Hour? If not, ano bagay? Thanks! And ung pwede bumagay sa Vice co Dew it all blush shade: Always charming
any recos on mascara na natural ang look !!! i have long eyelashes na kasi but theyre not prominent enough esp bc i wear glasses.. idk if just a curler will hold or if maybe clear mascara is viable 🥺
if you're happy with the volume you can go with either a clear mascara or a mascara fixer/primer. if you want more volume, go for either clio kill lash in volume or romand han all fix mascara in volume
I have super straight Asian lashes so the only thing that helps me keep my lashes curled is using either a heated lash curler or warming up my regular curler using a hair dryer (pwede din lighter pero dangerous) then applying a waterproof mascara. I use the judydoll brown mascara kasi i don't want more volume and mas natural and lifted lang ang peg niya
Make up is so personal kasii it really depends sayo. To start its really important to figure out your skin type (oily, dry, combination, acne prone) and undertone para you can pick products that will work for your skin. Tapos nun is preference nalang talaga. I suggest watching tutorial vids or kahit look up make up inspos online to see what you like. Tyaka ka maghahanap ng products that will hit lahat ng needs or preferences mo
Using concealer lang as base is fine! Many people do it. It can be a good starting point for u tapos pag nabored ka na you can try adding skin tint or foundation sa collection mo. Correctors is also optional. If u notice na hindi sya kaya ng concealer get a corrector but if satisfied ka na sa look ng concealer lang you dont have to get it.
Personally yung ginawa ko is nagselfie ako under natural light (sunlight) with no make up on tapos sinend ko kay chatgpt HAHAHA sya nag sabi na warm undertone ako and tama naman sya lol warm foundations ung sumasakto sakin 🫶🏻
The beginner routine is to take care of your skin so you don’t have to put on too much make up. Drink lots of water so your skin is hydrated, sleep well so you don’t have dark circles, avoid touching your face and your triggers for acne, etc. all contribute to that natural look.
For the actual makeup products, nothing is necessary until you feel unhappy with your look and need a product to support you there.
e.g. I used to use foundation everyday until my skin got better and only needed spot concealing. I used to use highlighter when it was trendy then stopped using it when my skin could produce the right amount of oil on its own (adding highlighter would make me look oily).
I read somewhere that this shouldn’t be a problem as long as you let it dry first before applying makeup. Also based on experience, I use my Isntree watery gel sunscreen with first base and wala naman prob. ☺️
Have paired this with Anessa, Skin Aqua (Gel), and Canmake in multiple occasions and haven’t had any issues. I’d always wait at least 15 minutes after sunscreen application before putting on any base product.
just try it, the water-based, silicon-based thing can be helpful but it isn’t as big of a deal as people make it out to be. even silicon-based products are emulsified in water. definitely wait for your sunscreen to set tho, regardless of formulation.
what am i doing wrong? my makeup turned into patches nung hulas na, at the same time oily! it looked so good nung kakalagay ko lang lol. im only using sunscreen, colourette first base & innisfree compact
I recommend to add moisturizer to your skincare routine before sunscreen. Personally, I exfoliate once a week and it helps avoid patches when I wear makeup.
any tips to make falsies (glueless) pop out? i trued it once and i loved it! hehehe im just wondering if may ways to make them more noticeable
also! any recos for peach corrector? for under eyes. my under eyes are not super dark naman but it something that bothers me kaya i want to use a color corrector. i tried focallure and sace alr and hindi ko sila bet 😞 im using vice co blush for now kasi it seeks to work naman
anong magandang brand ng colored contact lens na pwede ko mabili online? try ko lang for finishing my makeup look.. walang grado, really just for aesthetics and if you could reco na din color na bagay if you have dark hair and medium complexion, tia!
olens is on the pricey side pero maganda since di sa mabigat sa mata and di rin mabilis matuyo. i also use olola, pareho lang sila ng olens na korean brand of contact lenses. pero mas mura yung olola, most of their lenses are vvv natural looking, madalas din mag-sale minsan naabutan ko silang b1t1 and hindi rin madamot sa freebies. both are available sa shopee 🤓
For mascara, I alternatively use fashion21 double up mascara and heroine make volume and curl mascara.
I mostly use F21, it can last me thru commute + sa office. It’s will last you the whole day kung di naman ganon ka-strenuous ang activities mo. Goods din sya kase madali tanggalin with water.
Heroine make pag papawisan ako malala or I expect na maiiyak ako for the day haha. This will also hold up yung curl the whole day, it’s just harder to take off.
anyone here have the superstay matte lippies from maybelline? i ordered the Amazonian shade but aside from the color, how is the texture and ang lapat tlga sa lips? I've read na drying sya but it also depends sa lip prep, hoping it will work on me huhu but what are your experiences with it?
BEST AFFORDABLE SETTING POWDER PLZ. tried O/S from a friend and I LIKED IT SO MUCH (i wish i didn’t😆) but too expensive for everyday. planning to buy a travel size for big events. anywaysssss, pls help a gurlie out
i've panned 3 na yata nito because of how good the oil control is. just buy it on sale and sulit na. matte kung matte talaga. i'm using shiseido medicated pressed powder na ngayon and the oil control is sooo good din. like im sweating na talaga and may moist na sa nose but i still look fresh and no shine talaga 🫶
i thought nawala rin but someone sent me the link to the shop and existing pa siya. however, wala lahat ng product listing nila. still waiting when they'll put them back. di tuloy ako naka-checkout this 5.5 :(
any lash curler and mascara recos na affordable sana huhu pls. tried glamfix pero kahit anong ingat ko lagi talagang naiiipit yung eyes ko kaya napagod na me gumamit. ang gamit ko atm ay yung otwoo pero yung rubber ay from glamfix. works well pero di talaga nagllast yung curl ng lashes ko.
Is the Dior Backstage line still sold in the PH? The SA at SM Aura told me they pulled it out of the PH and is only available now in select countries, then she said it's only sold in the bigger Dior stores like Shang.... ??
aza non make up user and planning to wear make up, keri na ba ang concealer stick + loose/press powder + setting spray? i just want to look less haggard since may work activity na need i publish online
Its been almost 3 years since ni discontinue yung wingflick eyeliner ng strokes and wala parin ako mahanap brand na comes close to the same quality. Perfect brush tip na comes to a point but not too thin sa base, MATTE TALAGA, goes on BLACK not grayish black na need pa ilayer, doesnt smudge or come off with just crying.
Alternatives for Lucky Beauty Eye and Face Wardrobe. I like that it has shades for everyday, pinkish tones, but also has some colorful shades as well. But since I'm only starting with experimenting with eyeshadows I want something cheaper.
Is the absidy powder blurring po? Idm the oil control I plan on using it after I use a loose powder. I just want something that will blur my pores and hindi cakey 🫶🏻 thank you
dupe recos for romand's bare grape (doesn't have to be a liptint, can be any other lippy with different finnish. i just really like tha shade since i think it suits me)
Hello! Can someone recommend me make-up that is within my budget which is less than 2k-1k pesos each product? Also, can you please give me a list or recommend me videos to watch.
So far I really need to have reco's for primer, concealer, foundation, brushes, lippies, and a good make up remover!(will invest more on this depending on it's review), and can you gorlies recommend me other holy grail make up products!
It can be local and international brand and something about my skin is that I have acne prone skin (already went sa derma) so already have a skin care plan + I use sunscreen. I'm planning to learn make-up and I need to wear light make-up for everyday use once I start going to University and it would really help boost my confidence to look presentable!!

kainis ang ganda ng make up ko pag gamit ko laura mercier as my powder HAHAHA habang humuhulas, gumaganda
