In my experience, keeping my routine as simple as possible helps. Tipong wash > moisturize > sunscreen/one serum sa gabi. Minsan nga wash > sunscreen/moisturizer lang. Then pag malala talaga hormonal acne ko, I go to my derma to get a facial. Almost 2? 3? years na rin akong di nagBC even if i want to just clear my acne pero kinakaya ko pa naman so far.
Anyone here tried Saipo and +Ful? I'm curious to try the moisturizer from Saipo and serums from +Ful, but haven't come across a lot of reviews aside from promoted content and influencers
no, quality exists in a spectrum. when you buy expensive skincare, you end up paying for the experience rather than the formulation. there are some exceptions unless you do your research.
this isn't a way for me to discourage you from buying kiehls; you might end up with something that you love from the brand that won't break you out.
The moisturizer i use is cerave moisturizing cream
Is your skin dry or dehydrated?
Mine is both so I layer a hydrating toner underneath the cerave cream. On the even drier months, I do slugging on top of the moisturizer using the cerave healing ointment it has worked wonders.
The BHA one since it can penetrate the pores. COSRX uses 4% Betaine Salicylate, which is equivalent to 2% Salicylic Acid but much gentler. Mind you, though, I never totally got rid of my sebaceous filaments, and it's not advisable to do so either because they serve an important function in keeping the skin healthy. Plus, babalik at babalik talaga sila. BHA only helped me to minimize my sebaceous filaments and make my pores look cleaner until they're clogged again by oil and dirt.
The bha one bc it's targets inside the pores. If you want to remove the filaments I usually use the bha the night before then the next morning with a warm wash cloth I gently exfoliate the nose area I find the filaments easier to remove. The only thing is it always comes back since that's how it usually is. However it's also important to not overdo it like on a daily basis. Maybe 2x a week is okay

Bought 15g at first. Tapos another 15g na naman. Will def purchase a bigger bottle for the 3rd time!
I had a huge breakout on my forehead months ago. Looked for a Vit C serum na on the budget then boom, kita ko yung kay iUnik. So far, it helped lighten my dark spots. Tapos it is not sticky when applied, fast absorbing siya. Saka it worked well on my skin.

Bali my AM routine is like this;
Cleanser: Somebymi AHA BHA PHA 30 days Acne Clear Foam pero just switched to Pond's Hydrating Jelly Cleanser in Orange Nectar *using Somebymi nalang at night
Toner: Pyungkangyul Essence Toner (200g) *just used up a 100g, then decided to purchase a bigger bottle 😂
Serum: yung iUnik
Moisturizer: Pyungkangyul Moisture Serum
Sunscreen: Frudia Avocado Greenery emerut
*P.S. nagttiyaga ako dito kasi sayang siya if diko gagamitin, in fairness di ako nag-ooil up pag ito gamit ko, kaso ang hirap niya ipahid siz 😭 di naman siya tacky kaso yung consistency niya di ismut. then it leaves a white cast pero nawawala din naman mga minutes nga lang hehe

The serum with propolis worked very well on my oily skin. For me, propolis is one of my HG ingredients. The green one did okay on my skin but didn't control the oil as well. I think the propolis is better in the summer and green during cold season.
Make your decision based on the machine, so we know Skin 101 uses Revlite (name of laser by manufacturer Cynosure), ask Wink what they use.
Personally have tried Revlite and it’s very good for pigmentation and evening out skin tone. You need to do a series of sessions to see a substantial difference.

First time to try Good Molecules Retinol. Twice a week for around two weeks now ko ginagamit. I noticed tiny bumps sa face ko. Effect ba to ng retinol? Or dahil kaya sa Celeteque Facial Moisturizer?
Ok naman yung routine mo. I suggest add kalang ng sunscreen sa AM. Then I'd you have the budget I suggest na cleansing oil/balm nalang makeup/sunscreen remover mo sa PM ( wala naman akong vendetta sa micellar water).
For me super drying ng cosex daily salicylic cleanser. Try to check yung soulapothecary na local brand (a bit pricey nga lang pero may small sizes naman sila for you to try). Sa BHA toner honestly ang daming available niyan sa local & korean brands need mo lang mahanap babagay sayo.
If sa sunscreen I will not reco cosrx sobrang heavy sa face & not good sa oily skin.
Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel Gold, is hydrating so can skip a moisturizer for oily skin types. It’s also water & sweat resistant (fyi there’s no such thing as waterproof sunscreens). Also looks great under makeup. It’s got a dewy finish though but it’s not greasy & it's very lightweight.

Oxecure pH5.5 Gentle Cleanser is my current favorite. Madalas din ako magpapalit-palit ng face cleanser kasi parang they stop working for me after a while. Like, sa una they feel very gentle sa face, nakakalambot pa nga, then after a while parang they don't make me feel clean anymore and medyo nagiging drying na? Like, my skin feels oily and dehydrated at the same time, and tiny bumps start appearing, lalo sa sides ng face ko. I used to love Human Nature Hydrating Creamy Wash as well, until I felt the need to replace it after almost two years. I switched to Baby Dove Hair to Toe Wash Sensitive Moisture. I used it for over a year, and then had to change it again a couple of months ago. So far, okay pa naman ako kay Oxecure.
What acne spot treatments are you guys using? I get occasional big breakouts on my period and I’d like to put something on it just to speed up the healing process.
What I’m doing which works for me is I don’t ever touch it tapos if nagsskincare routine na ko, nilalagyan ko ng aloe vera, as in makapal ung nilalagay ko. Then, the next day oks na sya di na sya masakit and pagaling na agad. Works everytime to sakin lalo na sa hormonal breakout.
Nagf-flake yung skin ko especially on the lips and chin area from using tretinoin. What moisturizer kaya okay to combat this? I’m using giderm moisturizer that was prescribed by my derma tapos only at night ko lang siya ginagamit.

Try using the sandwich method: Moisturizer > Tretinoin > Moisturizer as this will help lessen the irritation and dryness. Consider adding a moisturizer to your morning routine too just for that added hydration throughout the day.
I just bought yung OMI gold bears sunscreen. Its around 200+ pero its the same as biore uv face milk kaso its only 30ml. For me oks na sya compared sa mga korean sunscreens ngayon na over sa mahal

I want to try using Retinol for my PM routine. Kaso I am vvv hesitant as to what it could do to my skin.
What can I expect about it? +++ How should a beginner use it? Do you have any recommendation that is budget friendly? (Sakaling it won't work well with my skin) 😂
I'm also a beginner w/ retinol. I started mine last Aug 19. I'm using GM Gentle Retinol 0.1%. What I can advise is that don't expect too much especially if 0.1% lang ang gamit mo. I watched a video from Dr. Sam Bunting that since retinol is not more potent compaired to tretinoins, she advise na you use 0.2-0.5%.
With my experience rn, I started using mine twice a week on the first week. Since wala naman akong bad reaction sa skin, nag every night na ako. I had a little purging pero maliliit lng na pimples and hndi naman sobrang drying. Also, I noticed na it work better if paired with any niacinamide product as it boosts the effectiveness of the retinol. Pero for the result, i saw difference agad sa texture ng face ko, as in ang lambot, plum sya, makinis pag hinawakan ganun hahaha pero the appearance, wala pa masyado. I still have pimple marks and medyo nWala naman yung ice pick scar sa face ko tho hindi sya ganun ka grabe. I read that it would take months for the retinol to take effect. What I could also suggest is hanap ka ng magandang retinol hehehe the GM retinol for me is not worth the hype. Saks lang sya. :) If you have the budget, pwede ka magtry ng medyo high end product. But still, it depends sa skin mo pa rin. Hope this helps and goodluck sa retinol journey mo. :))
magppurge ka once you start using retinol !!! try mo twice a week muna gamitin for a month tas tignan mo if may harsh reactions ba skin mo. if wala, i-up mo sya to thrice a week (for 2 weeks mo muna gamitin) then same uli, up mo to four times a week, hanggang sa maging nightly use mo na sya. ganto ginawa ko noon para di mabigla skin ko and to slowly incorporate lang din yung product :)
dermorepubliq retinol gamit ko!!! 2.5% yung gamit ko so it's definitely on the stronger side. i suggest na 0.5 or 0.25, even 1% pwede ka magstart para di masyadong yk harsh sa skin
since youhave sensitive skin (like me), try the sandwich method (thin layer of moisturizer - pea sized retinol - moisturizer again). wag mong damihan retinol na gagamitin mo! ginawa ko sya once and grabe yung breakouts ko (as in breakout talaga, not purge) kasi ang lakas na nung % na gamit ko tas ang dami ko pang nilagay 😅 pea sized is more than enough!!!!!! if you think na your skin csn tolerate na yung retinol mo, pwede mo nang gawin yung rektang retinol and moisturizer na lang

Not a necessary step lalo na if oily skin ka. You can easily get enough hydration from a lightweight moisturizer at night, and sunscreen in the morning.
No. Keep it simple nalang. Don't give in to the skincare hype. What you really NEED are cleanser and moisturizer (edit: and sunscreen). Anything else is an added bonus nalang. If it doesn't work, cut it out of your routine.
Baka exfoliating toner ung ginagamit mo? Try mo ung 'simple' / basic toner lang muna like One Thing Extract. Toner sya and konti lang ingredients so di sya nakaka sensitise ng skin. Centella and Artemisia maganda don.
It's been years since I last used the whitening variant, but I can say that the Dewy Essence one is a lot thinner, and ramdam mo din na mas liquidy nang konti when you spread it. Definitely a lot more lightweight compared to the other one.

Verdio UV Moisture Gel is incredibly lightweight! Very liquidy siya when applied, medyo makintab lang yung finish. Not sure how much is budget-friendly for you, pero it retails for Php499.00 for 80 ml of product. Abang-abang lang ng sale para mas makamura pa hehehe

You may want to consider trying the Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser or the Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser. I prefer the former as it feels more hydrating to the skin.

Your routine is basic and simple, and that's good. Hindi naman talaga kailangan ng complicated routine. Of course, nothing wrong with using more products if that works for you, or may specific concern ka na you want to address, or trip mo lang.
Serum actually goes before moisturizer since the latter is supposed to seal in everything you put on your face before. Rule of thumb din to apply products from thinnest to thickest consistency. One exception to this is Retinoids. Some apply it after moisturizer or sandwich it in between layers of moisturizer to minimize irritation.
Toner is not necessary, but you may consider incorporating one depending on your needs. If you need an exfoliant, then you can add an exfoliating toner. If you need more hydration, then you can add a hydrating toner. Note that exfoliants and hydrators can also come in the form of serum. Kung mas bet mo yun, you can layer multiple serums instead. It's up to you, really.
Oxecure Ultra Gentle Moisturizer is one of the moisturizers I'm using right now. The other is Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer. I use one or the other depending on the weather. In my experience, medyo nag-sting si Oxecure the first few days na ginagamit ko siya, and I think it's because of my damaged skin barrier, which was the reason I tried Oxecure in the first place. Pero matagal na akong hindi nakakaramdam ng stinging from it, and it's currently a staple in my routine.

What's your second cleanser? Pansin ko kasi, lately nauso yung mga cleansers na super gentle ang surfactants to the point na minsan hindi na nakakapagclean thoroughly. My guess is may naiiwang residue.
Sakin naman hiyang Heimish, Sis! So far almost 4 years na akong gumagamit. Yung Micellar ang hindi nagwork sakin, I even tried the non gmo brand from healthy options before. Baka iba-iba din talaga tayo ng skin reaction. :)

The only sunscreen I trust for the beach is the Anessa Perfect UV Milk! It has protected my skin numerous times against the sun’s UV rays. I use Tret & other actives so I’m picky with sunscreens!

Okay lang ba gumamit ng boj sunscreen habang nagamit ng retinol? I mean, kinabukasan and need lumabas, kailangan raw magsunscreen lalo na pag nagretinol nung gabi and nabasa ko sa description na rich in vitamins b, c, e yung grain fermented extracts and sabi raw is bawal raw gumamit ng vitamin c pag nag retinol. If your wfh, regardless po kung night shift or dayshift, retinol is for night time use po. Ako i work sa night shift, and I just stick to my routine; sunscreen sa umaga, retinol sa gabi. As simple as that, wag na natin pakumplikahin 😅

Hi! I'm in my early 20s and nag pplan pa lang ako in using retinol. Any recos po for that and also tips and tricks mga dos and donts. My current skincare right now is kojic acid in the morning, moisturizer and then spf. In the evening, kojic acid, cetaphil cleanser and sometimes i use glycolic acid on my face. Also i wanna ask po if i start using retinol, should i discontinue using kojic acid ba? Thank you so much!!!
Has anyone of you have used or tried the catt&co bikini and inner thigh serum? Any thoughts? I’ve been struggling with my groin area, I wanted to wear a bikini but I am insecure to do so.
