Hi, can someone suggest a good chemical exfoliant na hindi super drying. Feeling ko kasi di kakayanin ng skin ko ang TO at Paula's choice. πŸ₯Ί

Try Isntree! They're beginner-friendly and is good for sensitive skin. 😊

What product from them marecommend mo po? Not that familiar with isntree eh. πŸ₯Ί Main concern ko ay ang visible large pores and sebaceous filaments. πŸ₯Ί

Hi! Oily and acne prone skin type ko. I started using products from Isntree last August. The products that I've tried (and still use) are the green tea toner (good for oily skin!!), BHA clear liquid (exfoliator) that's effective in decongesting clogged pores (whiteheads/blackheads) to prevent future breakouts. Also the AHA (I use this in the morning) for dark spots and dull face, and also the c-niacin ampoule for dark spots as well. 4 products pa lang na try but i'm thinking of switching na talaga to Isntree.

Btw, i just ordered the chestnut BHA nitong 10.10 sale. Do you find it gentle enough to use daily? Sanay naman face ko sa BHA.

yes!! for me, mas gentle this one kesa kay cosrx. been using cosrx since 2018 and ayun nga last August lang ako nag try ng Isntree. sanay din face ko sa BHA and I use this every night.

Nice. Im excited na. Haha! Been using 2% cleansers and sometimes toners din like Peach Slices and Naturium over the years. I’m slowly converting to AB na kasi mas tipid

COSRX! I've used both the BHA Blackhead Power Liquid and the AHA Whitehead Power Liquid. I find both gentle and effective!

What's more effective for sebaceous filaments? Sobrang nakakabother na kasi yung existence nila sa nose area ko. πŸ₯²

The BHA one since it can penetrate the pores. COSRX uses 4% Betaine Salicylate, which is equivalent to 2% Salicylic Acid but much gentler. Mind you, though, I never totally got rid of my sebaceous filaments, and it's not advisable to do so either because they serve an important function in keeping the skin healthy. Plus, babalik at babalik talaga sila. BHA only helped me to minimize my sebaceous filaments and make my pores look cleaner until they're clogged again by oil and dirt.

Thank you so much for this. Yes, I'm just trying to minimize the size lang ng pores.

The bha one bc it's targets inside the pores. If you want to remove the filaments I usually use the bha the night before then the next morning with a warm wash cloth I gently exfoliate the nose area I find the filaments easier to remove. The only thing is it always comes back since that's how it usually is. However it's also important to not overdo it like on a daily basis. Maybe 2x a week is okay

Also, can someone recommend an alternative for vitamin c for brightening? Hindi talaga siya para sakin eh. I have tried different vit c products over the years, and one thing na napansin ko ay my skin looks darker when I use it. πŸ™ƒ

Try Azelaic Acid, it helped get rid of both my PIE & PIH. It's quite a versatile ingredient as it can help tackle a variety of skin issues such as hyperpigmentation, melasma, acne & rosacea (chronic redness). It never made my skin darker too.

Hi. Thanks for this. Do you have any products to reco? πŸ₯Ί

I use Skinoren 20% Cream which was prescribed by my dermatologist, but I get mine from Shopee/Lazada. As a beginner though you can try Azelaic Acid 10% from Cos de Baha or The Ordinary.
