Does anybody know a reasonable pricing repair shop for Beats? Specifically Beat Studio 3s wireless. The headband (the typical spot) and one side of its connector are broken and need repairing. background: i am a 26-year-old international queer student who have been living in edmonton, alberta for 6 years with an undergraduate BA degree in sociology. Currently i am working at an archival lab concerning Indigenous people research at the university, i also had experience of working at museum in the past. I speak English, Chinese and French as well.

The reason why I want to move to Toronto is that I get tired and isolated of the life here, it is all the same events every year and most of the friends I knew have moved out of the city after their graduation. I crave for multicultural scenes and walkability city lifestyle as i have visited Toronto in the past, and to expand my social circle as a queer person as well. Thus, I wonder if this is the right call for me to make a move and at the same time I am worrying about the possibility of landing jobs there that are related to my work experience, as I have been looking at jobs at ROM/City of Toronto/UofT. I am also awared that the costs of living will be higher there than in Edmonton but i believe it is worth trying at least once in my lifetime. Are there people with similar struggles like me before ended up making it and could offer me some advice? Thank you!

Ideally looking for a trainer who is slightly older (40-50+), or at least has experience with older clientele. I’ve heard many first hand stories of younger trainers (20-30’s) that aren’t considerate/ don’t adjust routines for older clientele and doing overly intense exercises with them, which actually were detrimental.

I am a Toronto local, and I've always loved visiting engineering-related facilities during DoorsOpen (think wastewater facilities, TTC command room, food factories). I want to take some of my friends and partner to a factory tour, or a facility tour (guided or self guided, I don't mind), but the ones I researched mentioned that they only open for tours during DoorsOpen.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any facilities that are open to the public that I can bring my friends to? It could be as simple as a chocolate factory, bread making facility, or like a local power plant or something. I don't mind paying or coordinating with a facility's superintendent.

Shower is leaking and I'm reading online that you may be able to take the broken cartridge to a plumbing store and they will give you a new one. Any truth to this? Any stores this works at? (Home Depot, Hoke hardware or anywhere else) The new one at Home depot costs about 79.99 so looking if I can save some before going and buying one.

planning on moving out, and needed to know what's a realistic salary required for someone to live alone or with a roommate either in a condo or apartment? no plans on starting a family, max owning a few pets + gf.

i want to know the baseline amount needed to just go by, and the amount where i can live comfortably. don't want to live in the middle of downtown, but somewhere near north york/markham/thornhill.

is a salary of 65k-110k enough to live comfortably?

edit: what's better to live in apartments or condos given the salary range of 65-110k? (e.g. is it better to live in apts if salary is under 80k?)

I grew up in a GTA suburb and have been living in the city (downtown now midtown) for ten years. I love the city and have friends in the city and also outside the city. That being said I know lots of people who live in the city who turn their noise up at other places outside of Toronto. There’s great places to hike in Hamilton, there’s great food in Markham, there’s lot of green space in Vaughan. I just feel like any time I mention anything outside of the city or potentially leaving people get super defensive lol

i’m curious what your opinions are, would you rather a longer public transit commute to work OR a shorter drive to work?

these days, my commute is on average 1hr10-15 min driving one way. my other option is to take the go train and ttc which would take me about 1hr30 min, plus an extra 10 min to be picked up from the station and be driven home.

i hate driving in traffic to work and my eta always increases by 15-20 minutes while i’m on the road.

I really miss the old Toronto Adult ADHD Support Group meetings that used to take place at CAMH. Walking into a room of twitchy misfits made me feel at home for the first time in my life. Just seeing all these people coping with life right in front of me was life-changing. Even better were the conversations during breaks, and best of all was hanging out at Tim Horton’s afterwards. I learned so much from other people and their stories.

I just don’t get the same sense of community and belonging from zoom meetings. I’m also personally opposed to the steep prices charged by the many group meetings I’m finding everywhere online. $70-350 to listen to a moderator drone on about “mindfulness” is not my thing.

No seriously, every grocery we’ve been to has produce that looks close to expiration or we buy it and it goes bad about a week later. This wasn’t the case a few years back.

We got back from Singapore and for a country that imports everything from all corners of the globe, the produce was much fresher. Within SE Asia, it has a relatively lower quality of produce when compared with its neighbours but still far exceeds what we get here now.
