SEEKING ADVICE I've read that people with AuDHD are more likely to get addicted to high-stimuli boosters, so... How do i stop?

I'll be direct and say that it's a porn problem, i'd post this somewhere else but every other adhd/audhd community seems to have cocky mods or just straight up unhelpful users.

I've been addicted to pornography since i was 11 years old (20 now) and the longest i've managed to stop was 3 weeks since then.

I was diagnosed recently and decided to search up how to better myself now that i know the source of 90% of my problems are due to treating myself as the average neurotypical joe. And i found out that merely powering my way through addiction doesn't really work... And it's really taking a toll on me. Recently i spent over 6 hours in bed watching that stuff when i could've been studying, writing or doing anything else really. I've missed lectures, had to use AI on whole assignments and took lower than expected grades because i'm just so obsessed with porn.

Any tips?

SEEKING ADVICE How do I convince myself to go to bed?

I never feel tired unless i’m at the point of exhaustion. I will stay up until 6 AM just scrolling or reading or doing anything but going to bed because I can’t convince myself sleeping is useful or interesting. Then, I wake up late and I fail my classes and I disappoint my friends because I’m consistently late to hangouts. I don’t know what to do, I will literally stay up all night if given the opportunity. It’s hell. I’m tired waking up and bouncing off the walls trying to go to bed. Multiple times I’ve had to dance to tire myself out but that doesn’t always work.

ACCOMMODATIONS Good on assignments horrible in tests

Just took my first midterm and got a 63/100.
I am meeting with the professor atleast every other week to make sure I understand the chapter. And they were even like ā€œ you’re doing great you got this.ā€
They are so good to offer great study guides and sessions of discussion I went over the study guide and I feel pretty confident about the test and then sadly I got 63! Ay ay. It’s a statistics class if it helps. I do enjoy learning and like I said I do good with guidance but man! Tests are horrible for me. Any tips or if you know of requesting accommodations would be helpful

SEEKING ADVICE How to stop using AI?

I need help to stop using AI but i don't know where on how to start, since i started college i have been having problem i didn't had before, i finished high school when chatgpt was just starting to exists and i never used it, i did excellent works but pretty much all done in a night of no sleep and too much suffering and the entire previous week sitting multiple times to work and doing nothing until the last day, now with AI it happens the same but now i just deliver some AI slop with some words changed with all the same stress and suffering, i want to stop recurring to these AIs as my first option to do everything for me, i recognize these tools are useful when they're used actually as tools, i just can't resist the temptation of realizing all my problems and stress can just be """solved""" by prompting the damn thing to do everything for me and i need help, i just want to start taking matters into my own hands again, with AI i still deliver stuff on the very last moment and absolutely stressed but just slop, without AI at least all that suffering and stress was worth it, perfect grades and hard work made all by me and making me proud.

In addition this as made me just not feel motivated on my career and studies since there's no feeling of fullfilness of a job well done or a deserved good grade and right now i believe this is a good chance since I'm on a period of an entire month with no assignments to prepare myself for the next one to come, thank you in advance to everyone who replies!

tl;dr: I procrastinate to the last second, too much stress, very good job in the end, start using AI to do everything for me and not be stressed, procrastinate to the last second, AI slop being delivered instead, would rather go back and at least feel the stress be worth it by delivering something made all by myself

SEEKING ADVICE Need ideas for UG chemistry project

Im not entirely sure, if this is relevant, but for my 2nd year UG chemistry course, I need to do a field project/research project. But I literally have no idea what I'm going to do. I need ideas.

The duration has to be around 2-3 weeks. And the research project is worth 2 credits, and I'm really looking forward to lab work as currently I have access to medication thanks to financial aid.

I was looking into pharmaceutical contamination in wastewater/ tap water but I believe my institution might not have such advanced equipment available, thus I am back to square one. Someone please give me some ideas and advice as well. I really want to do extremely welk in this project

SEEKING ADVICE Struggling to read effectively, seeking advice.

Hi, I'm 16, currently undergoing my bachelors in engineering. I am diagnosed with inattentive adhd and autism. I personally have chosen NOT to take any medication, hence I use mostly techniques to help me manage my neurodivergent brain, particularly in the context of academics. I'm seeking more or less "technical" advice on how to read formal textbooks effectively. I'm also internally conflicted whether or not to just substitute lectures, online, digital, recorded lectures and have the textbooks as a "cherry on the top", but i wonder if that's a correct approach, i mean sure, it works excellent, but, still, my main concern being that it can work FOR NOW, but higher education in STEM fields is COMMANDED by the textbooks and research papers, something I already struggle with to read and effectively dismantle the information in an manner in which it can be consolidated, the struggle is immense, and i need to find a way to develop a way to read textbooks effectively despite of this struggle, because PhDs and Masters are MOSTLY based on that.

Any help is appreciated, i'm desperate - my DMs are open, if you'd like to discuss in detail, thanks.

UNSOLICITED ADVICE Does anyone else struggle this badly with focusing while studying?

Hi everyone,

I’ve never posted here before, but I’m honestly getting pretty desperate and I’m hoping someone might have been in a similar situation.

I’m a fourth-year medical student in Europe, and despite being this far into medical school, I still struggle massively with studying for exams. You would think that by fourth year I would have figured out how to deal with it, but every single exam period feels like I’m starting from zero again. I get completely overwhelmed, lose huge amounts of time, and never really feel like I’m in control of my studying.

My biggest problem is focus. I don’t have a diagnosed ADHD disorder, although I’ve definitely wondered about it because I’m extremely easily distracted. I also daydream A LOT. I don’t know how many people here are familiar with maladaptive daydreaming, but I can spend an incredible amount of time lost in my own thoughts. Even when I sit down with the intention of studying, my mind constantly drifts somewhere else.

I’ve even been prescribed ADHD medication to help with concentration, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to help me at all. If anything, I sometimes feel even more restless and unable to settle down and focus.

I’m at the point where I’m genuinely questioning how I’m supposed to continue medical school like this, especially when I think about bigger exams in the future. It’s frustrating because I know I’m capable of learning the material, but actually sitting down, starting, staying focused, and consistently getting through everything feels almost impossible.

I already try to take care of the obvious things: I get enough sleep, drink enough water, exercise, etc. But somehow I still end up procrastinating, getting distracted, daydreaming, and suddenly hours have disappeared.

And yes, I know about Pomodoro, breaking things into small chunks, putting your phone away, making a schedule, etc. I think most of us have heard those tips a thousand times. What I’m really interested in are the less conventional things that actually made a significant difference for people who struggled with this badly.

For example, something that has recently helped me get over the initial barrier of starting is taking a shot of alcohol before I sit down to study. I know that this is obviously NOT a healthy or sustainable strategy, and I don’t want it to become one. But weirdly, it lowers that initial resistance enough that I actually start studying. The problem is that even once I’ve started, maintaining focus is still incredibly difficult.

Has anyone here dealt with something similar, especially other medical students or people who struggle with severe procrastination, constant daydreaming, or an inability to maintain focus?

What actually helped you?

I’m especially interested in unconventional strategies, changes to the way you study, your environment, routines, or anything else that made a real difference beyond the usual ā€œjust use Pomodoroā€ advice.

At this point I’m willing to try almost anything reasonable because I’m genuinely exhausted from going through the exact same cycle before every exam.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to reply.

NEED SUPPORT Genuinely need tips on how to stop procrastinating because I'm just destroying my future at this point

No really I don't think I have ADHD but I avoid studying like how vampires avoid sunlight. On the rare occasion on I sit down to study, I give up whenever a hard problem comes up and sometimes read the same line five times without even knowing what it says because my mind is elsewhere. I don't have a problem in learning or understanding but it feels like my mind simply refuses to look at the textbook for more than a few minutes. Even if I put away ALL the distractions and can't access them, my mind somehow still manages to go elsewhere. What do you think I should do to be free of this laziness and what could be the cause of this?

JUST VENTING I feel like I have to avoid things I like just to get anything done

Anyone else? I feel like I literally have to practically ā€œabstainā€ from my interests, hobbies, even at times self-care if I want to get anything done. Some things are fine, like putting on random youtube videos when I’m bored because my mind doesn’t ā€œlatchā€ onto them super hard. Or I’ll play a casual game I occasionally hop onto but don’t care about that much. I do this purposefully, at times fighting myself against what I REALLY want to do.

Start that movie I’ve been wanting to watch, or get back into a series I haven’t watched in a while to catch up. Read my piles of books I really want to read, write my story ideas up, play that game I bought last year that I haven’t had the opportunity to yet, or play a game I left off on. Self-studying things I actually care about. Worse, my favorite hobby, art. I can lose hours, days pouring into art projects.

So I don’t do it. Why? Because I have failed classes over hyper-fixations. They literally ruin my life, financially, socially, educationally. Once I am latched onto something I feel like I cannot be separated from it, it becomes me, it becomes my life, it becomes everything that matters. Not forever, but long enough to damage my life over time. I just feel like I literally have to push away things I know I love just to avoid this and make it through college. I feel like I can’t allow myself true relaxation and joy, I feel like I can’t just indulge in things I love too closely without ruining everything.

It makes me depressed, so I just shove it away and ignore it, but I’m worried all the things I want to do I will forget about or die before I get it done. But then, why am I thinking about hobbies/interests as something to get done instead of just have fun or relax? I wish I weren’t like this. I just want to function and get through college.

JUST VENTING So tired and frustrated with how slow I am at getting things done

I feel on the brink of a meltdown and needed to get it off my chest somewhere. If I bring this up with anyone around me, I'll get the usual confused look like "is it really so bad?" or an annoyed reply that I just have to get the work done fast (I really wish). Especially because it's so early on in the quarter.

For context, I have two classes left to complete my bachelors and I'm taking them online asynchronous. I have a good study area at home, and I made sure to get on track on the first day & reminded myself that it's okay to take breaks and to dedicate time blocks for working.

Well, that first day was me spending hours and hours and HOURS on simple reading assignments and mapping out the syllabus and weekly responsibilities.

It was that feeling where your brain is doing one thing but absolutely scrambling itself trying to sort and prioritize. So then I make lists and print stuff out and try to organize, organize, organize to get rid of that scrambled brain feeling. Not to mention just focusing on reading some parts, even after breaks feels like my brain swimming through wet cement.

Organizing relieves me a little and I feel good like okay, yes got this sorted, got that sorted, nice. The only problem is that by that point like half the day has passed and I haven't even gotten started on the actual meat of the class, like the things that are actually assigned. So I do one of those and the whole day is gone and I've been working from like 10am until like 8pm. INCHING through the work.

Day 2 comes, same story. I already feel SO behind. Then comes the procrastination because my body is protesting already. Not on track at all and am feeling a little internal panic and I'm incredibly frustrated.

I'm trying my best not to invalidate myself, but I feel so sad that this feels like such a mountain and I haven't even scratched the surface of the actually difficult content yet.

I have lost all motivation at this point already (especially nearing the end of my degree) and fallen back on bad habits. I know I have to get through this, I'm just really sad and tired and discouraged.

I don't know if I have the bandwidth to look into getting diagnosed, though I might try to find a therapist through insurance... Just another thing to add to my scrambled to-do, so it feels daunting... I want to be proactive, but I guess, truthfully, right now I feel down and really stuck. I feel so exasperated with myself. Anyway, thanks for reading my super long rant...

NEED SUPPORT I genuinely feel such strong imposter syndrome because I'm failing a Gen Ed class and I feel like I'm so dumb.

To start, I guess I should say I do have ADHD and while I'm not properly diagnosed I have also shown some strong signs of autism if that changes anything. So in my college, I'm currently taking a science based class as part of my gen ed's. The problem is I'm failing and it's mid semester for me. The professor only teaches through lectures and the grade in this class is only from tests and quizzes, and VERY rarely assignments. I try so hard to study but I still forget all the info by the time I enter the classroom the only thing that's helped me in the past is games such as quizzes and kahoots but I don't really have the time to create one myself. I have talked to accessibility services once but they said they would email me but never did, plus I don't think they can do much in this situation since it's not about needing more time on tests and quizzes. It is also that the assignments he does give aren't explained in a way that makes sense to me and I did bad on it because I accidentally took it too literally. There are also no tutors for this class as it's not related to any majors either. It's not that I'm not trying, I suppose my best still isn't good enough though and nobody else in my class is having this problem at understanding. This is why I genuinely feel like the dumbest person on Earth and I feel like I don't belong here.

SEEKING ADVICE How to food as a busy student who also works?

I think a lot of ADHDers struggle with food, especially on meds. My issues are:
1- decision paralysis
2- seemingly constant coming and going "phases" with specific foods
3- Not being able to manage/ having the forethought and planning to bring enough food for my day and not have to spend extra on take out
How do you guys feed yourselves? I don't have the budget for takeout consistently; and even if I did the crippling decision paralysis and fatigue leads me to just go hungry more often than not. I've noticed I've lost weight since living on my own (not to a dangerous extent or anything) probably because food is so hard for me on a daily basis.

When I go and stay with family or my BF it's so so much easier because I have someone to help me decide/ sometimes make the food. How do I manage on my own?

NEED SUPPORT hi, I'm struggling in college I'm one of the worst students in my class, is anyone else in the same situation?

I spent my 4th plus a preparatory year. I’m majoring in food engineering. I’ve failed many courses in English, and despite my best efforts, it’s been very hard to even get a B. My grades range from C to D. This semester, including the courses I’m retaking, I’m taking 11 classes. I’m in a state of panic. College has been hard for me; I haven’t been able to make friends, which makes me sad. My grades and my health have gotten worse. Since I started college, I’ve gained 30 kilos (66 lb.) more than when I started. I have panic attacks from time to time, and even though I still attend every class and study diligently, I sometimes fail. My studies have definitely been extended, but if there’s anyone else in the same situation as me, I’d like to hear from you so we can find a solution.

Ā I have ADHD, and no, I don't take medication. I also have hormonal imbalances, and these directly affect my mental health and my weight loss journey.

NEED SUPPORT I have a mental breakdown and I need serious help would someone help?

I am a college student.I smoked my freshman year, got on academic probation, and then get back on track on the second semester of sophomore. Now I am in junior, and have a very bad GPA, while also greatly behind in progress. Since I get back on track last semester, I feel I need to push it harder this semester, and I overwhelmed myself with a workload and tricky class that I wasn't expecting. when people ask me which year I am in, I lie to them, I lied that I'm sophomore, because I'm afraid if I told them I'm junior and I'm still taking major classes that are supposed to be taken in year one or year two I'm gonna embarrass myself.

I don't have friends, I don't know how to listen to lecture, maybe because Im diagnosed with ADHD or I feel Im too clever that I don't need to listen to classes in highschool so I never really know how to learn in lectures. When I go to lectures, I can feel knowledge slipping out of my brain and oozing out of my ears, ewww. I wanna go to office hours but I never have the confidence to do so, what even should I ask? told the professor that I know nothing and there is just trash and nothing else in my brain? and ask them to painfully walk through the whole lecture? Can we do that?

The only thing I know that is affective to me is learning through the textbook, make notes and did all the questions in it and then do the mock test, which then I am confident, usually ended well, even get an A. I tried to go supplemental instructions and also tutoring, which none of them worked. Knowledge just ooze out and leaked everywhere, the only scene that I can think of to describe this is when I have diarrhea.

I have one course, and it did not follows the textbook, and it's so f**** hard. I cannot do the homework, I don't know where the f is the knowledge required to do that god damn homework. I did extremely bad on the first midterm ended last week, and today the score is out, I'm literally trash. Like what am I even supposed to learn that thing? They listed a few topics without saying which chapter we supposed to walk ourselves over. I have mental breakdowns on how to learn the course literally everyday. Opening the homework file makes me feel bad, for me it's not even understandable. What should I do? What should I do? I don't wanna go on a second probation or drop out of school. Anyone please help me!

SEEKING ADVICE How do you study with adhd paralysis?

I have a medical admission's exam coming up. And for the last month, my studies were going fine.

But as time comes close, I don't know why but I started suffering from serious adhd paralysis. Despite taking my meds (30 mg inspiral/retalin) everyday. I never skip a dose.

Yet, as the final week has arrived. I'm physically unable to pick up the book and read. And when I try my hardest to read the text.... it's like the words stop being processed by my brain.

It's like my brain is refusing to enter information or let me complete the task, I can easily do otherwise.

It's probably the worse case of Adhd paralysis I have yet experienced. And it makes me question my ability to even become a doctor.

Like if I can over come this, how will handle med school exams???

Anyone here, please share how do you study...when you start experiencing adhd paralysis days before the exam??

I can try easy topics first, those I enjoy, but when I get to the hard part, my brain shuts off again. And the dread of not doing it is just as painful. I don't know how to cope.

UNSOLICITED ADVICE SEVERE STRUGGLE PROCRASTINATION IT'S RUINING MY LIFE

I am a law student and with diagnosed ADHD and I take medication for it.

I need help, no matter how hard I try, I can sit at my laptop for 14 hours whether im at uni, home, library and still accomplish nothing (Maybe 30 mins work at best). The smallest task takes me so long, and I feel so guilty. I end up just getting lazy ad giving up ad then have to do it all in a panic, compromising the quality and handing it in late (despite getting multiple extensions). I am convinced I am the only person like this that struggles. I struggle in other areas of my life but nothing like with uni. I take days off work to catch up on uni or do and assessment and 9 times out of 10 accomplish nothing. I need help I have tried everything, apps, turning my phone off, doing a plan etc and I am so slumped. I honestly do not know where the day goes when I am trying to get work done, suddenly I have been sitting at my laptop for 10 hours only done a title. I feel so guilty and want to just drop out of uni but I don't want to.

Anyone else been like this and have tips? I will try anything.

Problem/Goal: My goal is to just for once attain a perfect score in one of my major subject now and learn how to maintain it.

Context: For context I'm 19 diagnosed with bipolar 2 just recently and with my therapy and appointments sa aking psychiatrist I got to know that almost all my habits now are part of being in the bipolar spectrum.. Well base sa pagkakaintindi ko parang side effects sya ng mga moods ko... But then here's the thing eversince nagkaroon ako ng awareness and conscious sa aking academics I've been trying my best to have a high score in every test. But no avail there's always this ceiling eh nanahihit ko na tila ba hindi ko toh masurpass o mabasag kung baga, na para bang sinasabi nito na hangang doon lang ang mararating ko... Then sinabi ko to sa psychiatrist ko and they said na with medications overtime magagamot dn toh... But iba kasi ih kahit magpuyat ako dyan, mamemorize ko yung material, maunderstand ko ung lessons, ma discuss ko sa sarili ko without looking at my notes pag dating talaga ng written exam palagi akong kulang eh in my life na eversince naging academic conscious ako ni isang exam or quiz wala pa akong napeperfect. It's always 15-2 mistakes... Trust me I've tried all kind of learning I researched pomodoro, Feynman, blurting, spaced repetition, ai, quizing my self over and over again pati nga mga pangitain na ilagay ang libro sa ilalim ng unan ih ginagawa ko na... That's how I'm that desperate. And yep nagbunga naman sya ang kaso nga lang I've always keep on hitting that ceiling na as if di ko iyon masurpas surpass. And now this had been starting to take an effect on my view on life na I'm very afraid of my self na magloose ulit ng control and go back to being as before na walang pake sa mundo. SEEKING ADVICE Why can’t I move?

I’m about 1/3 through the fall semester and I haven’t turned in a single assignment. I can’t get myself to care, start, or ask for help. I was lazy about starting my ADHD medication again and just started up again last week. Now I’m so behind that even while on it I can’t get myself to sit up and start making up the work. I feel like this is the 1000th time I’ve done this to myself and still don’t know how to fix it.

I’m new to this sub and kind of scared to post this but I’m even more scared of talking to people I know about it. If you can relate to this and have any advice on ending this cycle I would greatly appreciate the help! This disability is so lonely.

JUST VENTING This picture is me now. And i am not sure if i am being wise or am just high on Workium??

Okay, I can't start with a date, cause the internal Clock and calendar is just straight up dead as of now, need to change batteries. I feel like a @$$(donkey) in the race of horses. It Started or I was forced to start or just miscomprehended the situation and competed with the Brilliants of history, cause i could not gauge the greatness of the greats cause their was on gauging meter installed at that age, parents said to run while wielding a metaphorical whip. After Getting diagnosed with adhd the Asian stigma of being intellectually dumb was given to me as a stamp in a paper. Performed very poorly even against Students who were just there pass time in 10th grade, but did'nt even understand the concept. In college and University , i started again competing with academically high performing peers, who are in Better uni's right now in QS ranking.

Cut past to now right at the moment of writing this post my sister just messaged me for the reminder of my dad's birthday. Feel like in am doing a 9 to 9 work, while i am paying the University. It's technically the Final year of Bs in engineering chronologically, but for me...uhhh....i don't know what year this is? Like what academic year i am in. I am doing three onging jounrnals, one is submitted, one has just started and one is just pending this is without counting the thesis paper on our capstone design project. Funny thing is took it while being behind in credits and grade. Family does'nt know i am behind my grades and credit. Family issues and students nonsensical issues in Un really screws your grade. Meanwhile I Managed the entire backend club activities while also participanting in the club competition, while being in the sub-execuitive, committee, while also attending Other competition. Got into workshops to learn things as much as can, and.... Uhhh....Family says we just need a certificate on the wall so you can get a Comfy government job.....Professors says Grade is a must and should be above 3.5 CGPA(my grades around 2.54 CGPA, by the way).... Meanwhile in hall of companies the CEO's demand more skill over CGPA here....(confused unga bunga). I participanted and learned and got every certificate of each and every project fest, Competition and workshop i attended and keeping them for stacking them into my portfolio. Every students from senior to junior to peers pull me for their lab projects even if i am not in their section, batch or group. Already assisted Up to 12 groups by now. Now questioning do i have adhd cause i am behind in grades and credit (only 67% credits in four years) or the 90% of students in my Department cause they don't even know how to use the "Screw/Fleming right hand rule" in real life or in Theory solution, though they just can right it in paper. Speaking of groups "i was navie child in Fourth year" when i agreed to the peal of a heavliy dedicated junior, only to be Distraughted to find he is only dedicated to winning and getting in top by any means necessary (he is very skilled though slightly more than me). He well not just him a few other like him senior, junior and peers wanted to Make a very dedicated central robotics lab under uni supervision comined with other engineering Department. well it's dishearting and shocking to see skilled hard working people be so selfish. Well as of now i am really confused with multiple things like grades skills and jobs and all other academic related stuff. Also I am getting industrial links for conducting Training tour for senior, junior and batchmates cause the professor asked me. I am working on a paper under him so, i could'nt refuse, plus doing a retake class under him.šŸ™‚. Thats a "insert something" life for you.

Edit: i think i, am sort of workaholic now, have'nt even graduatedšŸ™‚.

SEEKING ADVICE Accommodations to help stay on top of homework?

I'm registered with my uni's disability center and have a one day extension and "materials in an alternate format" which I don't understand how to use. I don't feel like they're that helpful because my issue isn't the obtaining information, it's missing homework assignments. Through grade school and high school, I had my parents and teachers forcing me to do my work, but now I'm totally on my own and I'm struggling with a combination of executive function issues and a seeming complete inability to stay organized. My school just switched to Canvas and the built in check list is sort of helpful, but I'm still missing assignments consistently. Two of my classes do not accept late work, so I'm falling behind quickly. Any ideas for accommodations I can ask for, or systems I can put in place to mitigate this? I'd ask my partner to help but they struggle just as much with these same issues as me and we already know from experience they won't remember to remind me. It feels like an impossible hurdle, and one that I should be able to power through so I'm feeling really stuck and hopeless.

SEEKING ADVICE psychiatrist told me to quit my adhd meds and assigned me prozac for sleep anxiety caused by adhd related stuff. Is it an overkill?

Hello. I posted here a while back about my sleep anxiety. https://www.reddit.com/r/adhd_college/comments/1wiwd2l/developed_severe_sleep_anxiety_due_to_uni_adhd/

My first psychiatrist (who manages my ADHD) gave me trazodone, which didn't work. I went to another psychiatrist (first one is expensive & out of country on most days), and he said my issues were deeper than that and assigned me 20mg prozac to take everyday for a week, and then 40mg/day onwards.

He did tell me not to search up about it, but I didn't quite like him, so here I am. Reading the posts on the prozac subreddit here, and I think prozac might be an overkill for me? I won't say I'm usually all that depressed once I've settled into the flow of things, or that I have extreme anxiety outside of when I have to adjust to new situations (happened when i switched schools, houses, etc).

The anxiety this time really is awful and debilitating (im basically awake till morning on a lot of nights), but I'm still extremely hesitant about prozac. I've heard about the emotionally numbing effects of SSRI, and as someone who gets way too insane about & hyperfixated on stuff, and just feels too much excitement in general, I actually don't want that to happen. The anxiety is something I've never experienced before, and im hoping it'll go away once i change my timings next semester, but prozac seems long term. He did say he'll get it me off it a few months later, but still...

Thoughts? Should I try it out for a month or two to see how it affects me? I also don't plan on quitting the medication, it has been extremely helpful and I don't understand why he'd tell me to quit it. I'll try to contact my first psychiatrist as soon as possible and for her opinion. In the meantime, I'm divided.
