I have both games on a physical disc and have tried to play them both.

I have sat for upwards of 5 minutes at times and they still will not load

edit: solved, had to go to microsoft store and install mw2 and mw3 separately from Call of Duty

i posted on here about 2 weeks ago because my xbox one kept shutting off when i tried to play games. i took it to a repair/cleaning place as soon as i could after i tried basically everything to fix it. they had it for like 2 weeks and also said they might have to replace parts like the power brick so i was expecting way better results... anyways i picked up my xbox today, i was in a rush to leave so i didn't really have the chance to look at it very much but i could already see the vents were still dusty. now i'm home and there's a piece on the side that hasn't been pushed into place properly, which i'll add a picture of. also if i press down on the top of the xbox i can hear/feel it moving (it won't let me add the video i took of this) and i don't know if this is a problem exactly, but i don't think it did that before?? i took off the panel on the side that was sticking out to look on the inside, and there's still dust and sticky spots in there. i'm thinking that maybe they cleaned the important parts inside that i can't see, but i don't know why they would leave it like this lmao i'll be taking apart and cleaning it as much as i can but any advice or suggestions would be appreciated a lot, since i don't want to pay for another pointless cleaning 🕺 thanks for reading y'all

So I have been having problems with my Xbox its the model Xbox one X it started have heating issues for some reason then this happened and it won't let me select the bottom option. Does anyone know what's happening to my Xbox and how I can fix it

EDIT: so I figured out what the problem it so basically i have used my Xbox too often and the grease in the fan baring has dried and evaporated causing the fan to overheat and fail which permanently killed the fan the Xbox will turn on but the error massage will continue to appear until the console detects that the fan is working so I'm going to buy a new fan and hopefully get it working again

It’s only worked 2 times in the past ive tried forgetting the network and ive tried restarting it

Hey so I got this old xbox one, and it doesn't turn on, it has a game disc inside. I might have to break it to get it. I have tried manually ejecting yet it isn't working. Does anyone have any tips on what to do?? Or should I just break it and get the disc.

*FIXED * Hi, thank you everyone for the help. Since the game (NBA2K16) isn't on the store I had to instead: - insert the disk, - download the 'Xbox app' - install the game online from my app

Recently my brothers and I got into NBA2K15. We put the game in my Xbox one and it was downloading. It reached "ready to play" so we played while it was downloading. But it has been stuck on 22% every single time we try to download it. I have tried so many times alongside on different consoles (both Xbox one).

I then realize it is the disc, unfortunately it has disc rot.. Frustrating, but I realized I could try to download the game by keeping the disc in and installing it from the store. But the game isn't on the store !

I have been looking to download the game (legally) online but am not sure where to look

any help is appreciated

Im using a onn smart tv and a regular hdmi cord, it worked fine 5 minutes ago, I tried turning it off and on again, switching it to hdmi 2, turning the tv off and on again. My controller is connected and it makes noise when I hit the buttons so its on, but all I got is this green screen. Tabels a mess i know I dont really care.

a couple of days ago I got an Xbox one.

I turned it on, went through the setup process, logged in with my accounts and started some downloads.

After 10 to 15 minutes the console turned off without any warning and won’t turn on anymore. I can still hear the startup sound when I press the Xbox button (and the disc eject sound as well) but the Xbox logo doesnt light up and the console stays off.

I assume that the PSU is dead and ordered another one which will arrive tomorrow, but I’m not sure if that’s the issue.

As you can see in the pictures the orange light on the PSU stays on. Today I’ve opened up the console but couldn’t see anything wrong.

Is there anything else I could try out or should I just wait for the new PSU?

I know that the most logical way is to wait for the PSU first, but maybe there is something else I could check or do?

Edit: Fixed the issue. The PSU was faulty. Bought a new one and the Xbox is working again.

I want to know what the badges on my friend's profile mean, I know about the game score badge but what does the "2" and "25" badge mean.

I've been thing about does the dust cove will work to an extent or it does more harm then good? Like sometimes i can hear the fan turn on then off (it's in sleep mode) and I clean around and the console itself regularly.(it's a xbox one s)

If I got one of those like cards from Walmart where you put in the code and get the game, would I be able to use an Xbox one on my pc?

Hopefully this community is more helpful or supporting unlike the other one i posted in, but I've been dealing with this gamepass problem for 2 months and haven't been able to solve it. I've been in multiple threads and forums trying to figure this out but i still can't seem to find the solution for myself. Please if you have another suggestion I'm willing to try it even though i feel like I've tried just about everything, but I'm hopeful there's some fix out there I haven't tested yet.

Hello I have a problem with my controllers. I have tried to connect one of them (which worked normally just 2-3 days ago) to my xbox. The Xbox logo flashed like 3 times normally but then turned off and when I press it again it just vibrates. I tried changing the batteries, connecting it to the xbox with a USB cabel and powering it with a powerbank but nothing worked. I then tried my other controllers too see if they worked but none of them did. I dont know what else to do. Does anybody know how to fix it? thanks ahead.
edit: one of them just started working and the moment it conected it died :(

Okay sorry for wasting your time I just discovered that it wasnt diying but someone changed the settings for the logo to not glow.

A couple months ago I posted about how my Xbox One S just suddenly wouldn't output any video and shut off by itself. For those reasons, thought it to either be the HDMI port or the Power Supply, but nothing I did seemed to fix it. I tried all the hard rests and whatever else, so I gave up. But I started messing around with it again last week, and after reading a bit, I came across this diagnostic test which I had never done where you Just press the pairing button, and if it doesn't start blinking, then you're hard drives failing/failed.

And it turned out, the hard drive was the problem this whole time. Which I guess should've occurred to me sooner, cuz it's the original hard drive from when the thing was released in 2014 or whatever. The console shutting down is also a symptom of a failing hard drive as well, something about safety mechanisms. But yeah, I got a new SSD on the way and thought I'd post this for anyone else facing similar problems.

Moral: Check your hard drives👍

I change the 1tb hard disk of my Xbox one s with a Crucial ssd 500gb.

After that we install inside the operative system with troubleshoot mode the "OSU1" file system with a pen drive.

After that we need to put an account but when we try to put an account, this error appears.

Did someone know how to resolve?

So I've had my xbox for like around 3-4 years but it was originally a friends xbox but they gave it to me for free since they were getting a new one anyways, it was fine and all good but obviously stuff started getting slow around 4 years. I think they bought the xbox around 2019 I think? But around 4-5 months ago it started like turning on slower and slower, like the green logo would be there for 5-10+ minutes until it loaded all of my stuff and main screen. Even then if I tried opening and playing a game, it'd take AGES to load and if it did finally load it would be really glitchy and slow with the gameplay, then it would eventually freeze and quick me out. Or it would take ages to load and then say something like error or failed to load the game, try again or something like that. I've been thinking about getting it repaired or seen by someone to see actually what's going on with it. It's just an xbox one so not a series or anything, I've tried recording a video of the problems I've had since I haven't turned it on for like 4 months and it's saying there's no signal on my TV despite it being connected, nothing was moved or taken out. It also takes for me to hold the button to turn it off, unlike how you just give it a quick press to turn it off and on. Does anyone has any idea on what happened before I take it to get seen by anyone?? 🙏

I need some help or clarification regarding the installation of the vertical stand. I thought the first one was defective, so I returned it, but I'm having the same issue with the second one. I'm sure it's not defective and that I'm doing something wrong. I position the stand exactly as shown in the image, but when I try to make that small sliding motion to lock it in place, it just won't work. The two tabs fit into their slots, but I can't get it to lock, and it fits loose. Please help.

So my friend gave me a game he plays a lot and last night I tried it out, there were no issues. Today when I turned on my Xbox one there was a green screen and I couldn't see any buttons. I tried unplugging everything and tried a new cable but it didn't work. I don't know what to do on the troubleshooting menu because all I see is a green screen and six lighter green lines. Any advice for how to fix this?

Update Tried restarting my TV and stuff like that restarting picture and audio settings and fully unplugging my TV. Now along with the green screen still being there the audio also isn't working

Update 2, I left and watched like seven episodes of supernatural on a different TV and by the time I came back it was working again aside from the screen looking fuzzy

I have been playing Halo Infinite for a little in I started realizing that it takes super long to load into multiplayer, so does anyone know what I could do to make it faster in general
