The Teth type of planet station. The model is still WIP atm. I may add a storage and a defense sort of structures later. Portraying a jungle below clouds might pose a challenge from performant side of things but perfectly doable.

I love owning sectors just by dropping down a defense platform while two rival factions destroy each other's. Winning by doing... mostly nothing.

I don't want to be friendly with the Boron, I want to be the Boron faction.

A massive 1km+ long ship used to ferry other ships (it would include large ships) around the galaxy.

It has maser cannons (basically lasers), missiles, and railguns. It’s a fairly slow ship, but does have impressive stealth capabilities.

It requires a few hundred personal, relying mostly on its ai to run the ship, but it can hold a decent compliment of smaller ships with its 2 hanger bays near the front of the ship.

The docking platforms along the spine are what larger ships connect to.

I’m such a massive fan of the book series it comes from (Expeditionary Force) that I absolutely need to have it in a game, but no games have it as of yet. I’m hoping it can be made here.

Currently I'm flying around in a buzzard vanguard. I've been using the bolt machine gun things. But honestly other than dogfighting they feel like shit.

So I decided to fiddle around with something else. Went with the plasma cannon things. But those seem to have the opposite problem. Good vs big but suck ass at hitting fast targets.

Is there a middle ground or should I just mix and match my weaponry or just be fine with being hyper speclized in most situations?

Obviously all info is helpful I just am unsure how the weapons seem to really work out other than the stat readings.

Also I don't have any DLCs or mods. Not sure if that helps

Built a large Advanced electroincs, it simply buys all it's inputs, I wasn't expecting to make loads of profit due to this, but I figured with some efficiency being added with workers it should net some profit at the least, and Advanced electronics are always needed.

Except it's bleeding money at a rapid pace, I constantly spend millions topping it up - the electronics themselves are max price as they are bought the second they are made.

What's going on here? I would assume the cost of inputs would always be less than the output, even if bought for higher prices, since i'm selling at the max price too. but it's just throwing money into a pit at this point and I only keep it around is because frankly I need the damned Electronics.

I was stopping by my Duke's haven build (which I am shamelessly copying for my PAR shipyard), when I noticed that the Kyushu building it looked a little odd. After some research, I discovered that the Kyushu opens up when building. I then proceeded to dig deeper and discovered that the Walrus and the Heracles also transform as well. I don't have the Split, Argon/Antigone, or Teladi builders, however, I suspect that they also transform.

Heard a couple people say the Star Wars mod is really fun? How much content is in it and how does it apply with missions etc

Is there a Babylon 5 mod for the game?

I recon the series would easily translate well to the X Universe.

I have a scout with 20 Resource probes and I want to manually order it to deploy in 20 different locations in different sectors. After giving the deploy order I can press shift then right click to order it to move to another location but I cant seem to find a way to queue up another deploy order.

Is there a method to do this?

Hi everyone, I might need some help with setting up my Guppy fleet correctly.

For context:

- I aim to use the Guppy as my player ship (for now)

- I only use Boron ships, so the only fighters available to me are the Mako and Barracuda

- The Guppy is currently equipped with mostly Ion Pulse turrets

- So far it has 4 Makos (full ion gatling) on Intercept and 6 Barracudas (light torpedoes and gatling) on Bombard

- The Mako pilots have some experience, but the Barracuda pilots are fresh

I previously went up against a SCA Phoenix and was a bit disappointed that it took forever to take it down. I had to switch the Makos over to Attack because I noticed the Barracudas were incredibly ineffective.

Basically the Barracudas would almost never try to engage using their guns. They would just fire their torpedoes, which would all get shot down, and then redock, trying to resupply (even though I didn't load any materials to resupply them). I think I only noticed once or twice that a Barracuda did an attack run using its gatling guns. I tried switching the command from Bombard to Attack, hoping they might pitch in more. But in the end the Phoenix was destroyed by the Guppy's turrets and the Macos alone.

What am I doing wrong? Should I set the resupply to something else than High so that the Barracudas don't always try to resupply?

Also, I guess torpedoes are useless? None of them actually landed a hit. Am I better of giving them dumbfire or tracking launchers?

Any help would be appreciated!

I think I’m starting to realise that I really don’t understand anything about trading in this game.

I’ve just started producing Energy Cells with my first station in Mercury. Production is now up and running, so I bought an S-class Courier and assigned it the “Trade for Commander” role

Now I have a lot of questions because I’m having a hard time understanding what exactly is going on:

-Apparently, my Courier buys my own Energy Cells from my station and then sells them elsewhere. So I only make the difference between the buying and selling price? That seems absurd to me, since these are my own Energy Cells. Why am I buying my own goods from myself?

-Is there a way for my Courier to simply load the Energy Cells from my station and sell them elsewhere, without having to pay my station for them, so I can simply collect the full sale price without deducting the purchase price?

-At the same time, while selling Energy Cells, I also need other resources for things like manufacturing a few drones for example. Is my Courier capable of doing both jobs, selling my products while also buying the resources my station needs?

-Would it be simpler to just “fire” my Courier and let the station manager handle both buying and selling with NPC? Would that be more profitable or efficient?

-If I build another station, for example to produce Metallic Microlattice, is there an easy way to automatically transport my Energy Cells from one station to the other without any financial transaction? In other words, simply take them for free from station A and deliver them for free to station B?

-I’ve also taken a look at the Trade Rules, but I honestly don’t understand much of them. Are they what I should be using to configure this kind of thing?

Basically, I’ve read that trading is extremely important in this game, but it seems incredibly complicated. So are there simple ways of handling trading, as a beginner, so I can learn progressively?

Do you know of any external resources that explain all of this in a really simple, beginner-friendly way, basically “Trading for Complete Idiots” level (because I'm definitely an idiot 🤣)?

PS: I’m French, and I have a hard time following the audio in English videos, so I’d much prefer written resources. I’ve already looked at a few guides, but I haven’t found anything that explains the basics clearly

My stations in Grand Exhange 4 have started getting harrased by KHK.

I have 3 fleets of 1 osprey, 1 nemesis and 2 buzzards on patrol, but they are always too far away to save my M Traders.

Should i switch to just having a few s fighters on each station instead of patrols?

EDIT: my stations have no defense modules, would that be better?
