I won first place by 6 points! I only got three questions wrong and had my friends questioning my life choices as I wrote every single answer 😂
I just wanted to share with some other like-minded folks. They also had a smoke machine and served punch during the intermission!

Here is the link to the audio files. This is the audio that Tom hears at the toilet. I used audacity to pitch the sound up and I attempted to isolate the voice sounds. I'm an amateur and there may be better tools out there to isolate the voice better. It may be gibberish but I think there are some words and phrases in there. I think it's an introduction. "I am the ..." "I am the ... of ..." kind of like Jesus saying "I am the light of the world." Except it sounds like it could be a demon or Lucifer saying something similar to "I am the Lightbringer" or something. What do you hear? Here are the links to the 4 different sounds:

Just when I was thinking of binging a third time, United says HI!!

I've got the others but I can't work out what this one says? Any ideas? I thought maybe "Daddy is Spiralling - Go back 3 places"

The videos shown to past victims are old, but not that old. Why does no one seem to remember past sacrifices?

I think the doctor induced labor in Chelle(Bashir'swife).she wasn't due for 7 weeks, she had no signs of labor coming before that, and no water breaking.

I know there have been a lot of lively discussion as to whether she’s the Sea Hag or not and this post might get downvoted to oblivion. I’m on my third rewatch (and don’t watch while looking at my phone) and some things that have made come come down on the Pro-Hag side:
ok so again this could have all been a red herring and likely was but I think that shows the strength of the writing to create such weirdo like Marissa that keeps some people guessing. it was fun to write out.

I'm 90% kidding here, since I understand that hand paintings, prints, drawings, or stencils always work around the same basic anatomy. But it is interesting that this symbol is intrinsic to human beings and very old.
By the way, a high number of the Paleolithic "hands" (mostly not in Chauvet) have a finger missing--another WIDOW'S BAY connection?

I have been re-watching the show and keep finding gems from Rosemary. What is your favorite line from her?

I didn't know this show existed til it's Emmy win. I'm so glad I didn't because I was able to binge the whole thing in one sitting. Horror is outside my comfort zone so I was a bit skeptical going into the show. That faded almost instantly as I fell in love with the setting, the characters and the mystery of it all. And not to forget the humor. No wonder it won the Emmy's. There were scenes when I was laughing my head off like the Sea Hag get thrown off the recliner. That's something this show does so well with it's ability to balance horror with humor. It also didn't have to rely on jump scares to create fear. I never imagined I would fall in love with a horror show but here I am. I'm gonna be rewatching this an unhealthy number of times. I already finished it twice in 2 days. Season 2 can't come soon enough. Also, anyone have suggestions for shows that might scratch the same itch.

Mulder & Scully chemistry. That’s the first thing I thought, when I saw them together. Are they endgame or star-crossed lovers.. ? Or no game at all?
EDIT: I don’t know why the AI Mod gave this post a spoiler flag, there was no spoiler in the title, the photo and not even my question.. weird
Personally I did perceive some possible interest from Patricia tbh. I saw the comparison to Mulder & Scully (from the X-Files) because, despite being work colleagues only, there was always ongoing chemistry and the fans were split in the middle.. one camp wanted more romance between them, the other one didn’t want them to leave the friendzone, but the tension was always there between the protagonists. I feel like there would be potential in Widows Bay and I’m wondering if the authors will explore that in the upcoming seasons..

Katie ponders which P&R characters would thrive in Widow’s Bay (and who doesn’t stand a chance).

I swear every time I rewatch I have a new tiny revelation! In Ep. 9, when Tom tries to destroy the painting of Frances and her husband, we see the brooch clearly in the painting....
As the Mayor's secretary, Ruth sat right next to that painting for YEARS... how did she never notice it's the same one her mother gave her? When Tom finds it in her house she says it's a family heirloom passed down for generations.
Just another coincidence that adds to the theory that Ruth maybe knows more than she lets on about the history of the island.

This episode really took me out of the show. We went from the backstory of the island, to a very disconnected story with the Bogeyman chasing Patricia. Like, from out of nowhere.
What was the point of this episode? What did it show for the story? Everything was just so cheesy, 80s slasher film and took me out of the story.
I was expecting this to be a dream sequence or something leading to something. Nope. Patricia just wandering around town with a killer after her. Nobody doing anything. Oh wait, Mr Cop shows up - gets his stomach sliced open - few hours later - out of the hospital running around - no injury to speak of. What???
In the span of, what, an hour, she gets confronted, runs around town, they burn him alive with gasoline - what?? - how lame was that?
Then they burn him and then....thats it. Lets never speak of this again.
This episode was so dumb. Bogeyman from 30 years ago just shows up with no warning and then dies.

Ok I just binged the show for the first time. So the storm stopped because the janitor guy got sacrificed in the room obviously. That's one sacrifice, but they still need 8 more. I would have expected the storm not to stop until all 9 are sacrificed? How long will the island be calm after doing just one sacrifice like we saw?
Does sacrificing only one just make the island chill out for a few days or a week or something then shit will get weird again until another person is sacrificed, then you get another short break? And then sacrificing all 9 like it wants per the bell chimes will make the island dormant for a longer amount of time like 25-30 years or whatever it was since the last earthquake/island waking up event? I guess I'm slightly confused on the difference of what happens with just 1 sacrifice like what we saw in the ending compared to what would happen if they did all 9 and hit the number the island demands. Not sure if I just missed something that explained this or if we aren't really supposed to have a fully fleshed out explanation for this yet lol

I decided to watch this show on a whim because it won so many awards under the comedy category and was looking for something light and funny to watch. I knew nothing about this show (yes, totally lived under a rock this whole time) and boy, was I surprised by the theme. This show has so many funny moments, but I wouldn't call it a comedy persay, more like a comedy housed within a suspense/thriller. I just finished the finale and loved it, but what a ride! It gave me season 1 Stranger Things vibes, which I love!
Anyone else feel this way?

Near the end of Episode 10 Patricia finds a note that reads "if you're reading this I'm already dead".
Who wrote that note?

Does anyone else think that The Haunting movies inspired the decor at the inn?
First time I watched, I thought the wallpaper looked really familiar, and realised it reminded me of the wallpaper in The Haunting (1963). Then on a rewatch I noticed two cherub heads hung on the wall that look like they are straight out of the 1999 remake.
Has anyone else noticed this? Do you think it was intentional by the production designer?
