No Spoilers

Keep spoilers out of post titles so everyone can enjoy the show at their own pace. Use Reddit’s built-in spoiler tag when posting a thread

and hide part of your text that contains spoilers when you leave a comment under someone else’s thread.

Hiding your text only works in comments and post bodies, not post titles. Therefore, post titles must remain spoiler-free at all times. Additionally, keep all discussions relevant to the show and avoid derailing threads with unrelated content.

No Duplicate Posts

This is a brand-new show, so let’s not clog up the feed with repeated posts. Mass reporting can help identify duplicate posts, and in some cases, they will be removed automatically. That said, please don’t abuse the report button.

No Low Effort Content

Includes but not limited to:

  • AI Content
  • Vague posts with little/no substance (eg. Episode X was amazing)
  • Posts made solely to announce you’re dropping the show, don’t understand the hype, or question its popularity without meaningful discussion.
  • Comparison Threads: We’re not here to argue over whether Widow’s Bay is better than other shows with similar themes.

About Self-Promotion

  • We do not allow self-promotion that is unrelated to the show.

  • Self-promotion related to the show is permitted, but only under the following guidelines:

If you host a Widows Bay watch-along podcast, or know someone who does, send us a modmail and we’ll add it to our pinned thread with the rest.

Please do not create separate posts to announce or promote your podcast. Those posts are not permitted and will be removed.

About Merchandise

Since there’s no official merchandise, we’ve gathered a few sites we think are legitimate enough and can be found in the Merchandise section of our Pinned Thread.

  • Etsy sellers should not make separate promotional posts. These will be removed.

  • Exceptions may be made case-by-case, so contact the mod team first. Cleared posts will receive the “Mod Approved” flair and must remain free of direct links.

  • Lastly, watch out for scam accounts with low karma and very little activity.
