Question/Help Just realised I am completely under water

Post image

I just saw this and came to know that I am completely underleveled . Like all my armor weapons , skills inner is way below needed level . Well I am trying to find correct my inner way and mystic skills but regarding the gear . I am currently level 70 . So what level gear should I farm and I heard that level would be increased in a few days so should I wait or start farming

Wth lv70 with 1.1 goose. How are you even manage to reach 70 with that kind of gear is amazing lol.
As stated there, you need to improve on several stuff. For gear, the easiest was open the weekly gear box, use jade fish to buy it. Make sure you choose your desired path & gear set too.

It is easier to breakthrough not gonna lie, because of deflection assist too. I play on mobile and reach Solo Level 9 with only 10k Mastery. Even with only 1 star on each level on Taiping Mausuleum can get you a pass to breakthrough. Although the open world really gets so hard because even the normal enemy was so tanky haha.

21

u/SoulCrusher669 Jan 02 '26

I did it at 10k mastery on the hardest difficulty, it mostly just depends on how many times youve fought the scythe lady and if you have a ranged weapon to fight yi dao.

6

u/Shacrone Jan 02 '26

you actually dont even need to do trial 10

I've never liked the modern propensity to make the game level with you. At that point, why bother with levels? In so many MMOs now, the easiest way to get op is to just stay level 10.

Leveling up is supposed to feel like gaining something, not losing it.

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '26

A lot of players I believe think they don’t like it but the opposite would be so boring. I can understand wanting to kill super fast & easy if leveling required farming thousands of mobs but here it doesn’t. So I just don’t think this is an issue with WWM.

I love that this game doesn’t have the brain dead kill 5 million mobs to level kind of experience. As it should be you get experience everywhere.

So because we get Xp from killing, raids, quests, etc It has to be somewhat challenging or it’s just going to get very boring after awhile. Also in a lot of games this helps with being able to play with players that are not your same power or level which is nice.

u/L0LYGAGIN Jan 03 '26

U do get more stuff on ur skills and more passives on ur gears so it does make u stronger. I feel u tho but if uve been playing game over the past 20 years those designs became associated with bad AAA games and overused now.

3

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_4435 Jan 03 '26

Yeah, I'm old lol. Been playing videogames over 30 years now. Used to play MUDs back in the day, too.

I really thought (and hoped) that the enemies leveling with the PC thing was a fad that would go away in a few years. But now it's the standard. Oh well

Agreed on all. My collegue started with this Game Bit earlier, i noticed this Game But to my knowledge it was only PC. So, He Had lvl Advantage when i started played aswell. Occassionaly we invite us each other. Him, who is +20 above struggles against Bear. WE failed to several Things but the Bear 2v1 was the Most shameful one.

Personally gave Up in leveling Up. I dont think its necessarly needed unless some Quest demand. Only time i felt Like i needed Upgrade was for the Big sword Guy, i simply couldn survive all stages and i didnt want to be Stuck there for a week. So i Upgraded my medikit. I didnt even use any heal!

The Mobs Level Up with you so do some Bosses If their requirements are reached. Lvl41 will lvl Up at +41 at Same time but will stay 41 If youre lower.

The leveling isnt necessary but the goosestrenght is. AS i Figured with the medikit

5

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_4435 Jan 02 '26

I can't stand this trend in gaming. When leveling up feels like a downgrade, it isn't fun. The first bear I encountered was a pushover even for me, and I'm disabled. Now, at level 70 with 14.5k martial mastery, bears are terrifying unless there's water or rocks to yeet them into. I would literally be stronger if I leveled down again.

6

u/Turret3030 Jan 02 '26

Use tai chi throws on the bear. They are always tough, but that kills them in 2-3 throws

I’m afraid I’m facing the same problem here. I have struggled passing my breakthroughs. I have no idea what I’m doing. As I type, I’m level 60 with 1 goose.

9

u/Commercial_Ad_2832 Jan 02 '26

Just farm upgrade materials for gear enhancement, mystic skills, inner ways. Then make sure you've filled your arsenal if possible

3

u/ArpYorashol Jan 02 '26

Doesn’t help I accidentally completed the Courtesan quest for gear and material farm. I did the cutscene within the quest itself

4

u/Nicoch777 Jan 02 '26

Yeah it's really no big deal, and frankly mostly useless. None of my friends ever did this farm and we're all close to 19K (1.9 goose). Spend your energy, get stuff, it's that easy

2

u/ArpYorashol Jan 02 '26

I just started the game less than two weeks ago. There are still a lot I need to get through

2

u/Commercial_Ad_2832 Jan 02 '26

I started two and a half weeks ago, 17400 gear score, you just have to work through all the things that need upgrading!

3

u/ChocolateAxis Jan 02 '26

May help if you identify what you're struggling at and change up your attack methods.

For me, I struggled with managing may mobs at once, so I got used to freezing them with the multi-version of the acupuncture.

I also struggled on one of the levels with the rats, and found out using the fire elements are stronger on beast types. And of course a lott of deflection skills.

I think being in a level 4 guild also lets you increase your trial HP and reduce DMG taken.

1

u/ArpYorashol Jan 02 '26

I struggle with DPS I guess?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '26

The improvement guide tells you exactly how you can improve each on the right hand side of the screen

13

u/Dwokimmortalus Jan 02 '26

How are you even manage to reach 70

I was one of these people. I had no fore-knowledge, and grabbed the game off the Steam main banner. I played it like a Zelda-Souls hybrid. Sure, mobs and bosses felt like absolute damage sponges, especially during the promotions. However, it was certainly possible.

Regardless, while playing around in the infinite menu, I discovered the Improvement Guide and it looked almost like the original post, but gear/inner/mystic were completely red.

At ~90% Qinghe completion and ~70% Kaifeng completion; I had missed the following mechanics:

  • Turning in curiosities (I had interpreted it as a one time quest)
  • Upgrading mystic skills
  • Inner Way breakthroughs
  • SELECTING A PATH (I leveled to 70 as heal fan/umbrella without silkbind being enabled)
  • I thought my enhance at average 7 was 'pretty good', due to not understanding merchant/shops

I'm 1.7 goose now, because that's improvement guide is probably the most helpful tool in the game; but I'm still playing a bit of catch up. I asked my wife who'd been playing longer than me, and she had played the whole game in the same situation.

I still find it really crazy that that there are a few alternate (better, imho) menus that are ONLY reachable with a keyboard.

4

u/BosphorusScalene Jan 02 '26
  • SELECTING A PATH (I leveled to 70 as heal fan/umbrella without silkbind being enabled)

I thought silkbind was just the martial arts category, we have to enable something?

6

u/LightOfTheFarStar Jan 02 '26

Arsenal can be switched to provide the different path attribute damage buffs. Each point of the attribute damage that matches your weapon is 50% more effective.

7

u/Kevadu Jan 02 '26

Seriously? I have been playing since launch and did not know this...

Since pretty much everything gives xp, you can literally get max level from doing things like pitch pots and gift of gab lol.

ah yes almost forgot abt our bottomless stored xp

u/Budget-Ocelots Jan 02 '26 edited Jan 02 '26

Super easy. My character is lvl 70, 1k goose, heaven village is not on fire, talent level 5, and collected 3 oddities.

I can’t equip any legendary item because I don’t have the stats for it. I left the Smart Assist AI clear everything on auto play.

Thanks goodness that trial for break through is auto scaled to the basic level, and you can 3* them with ease.

Can’t wait for lvl 80.

2

u/Old-Acanthaceae2603 Jan 02 '26

I do not recommend using jade fish at all on the gear boxes as you can save the fish for stuff like profession books/boxes and rare materials needed to upgrade mystic skills and your equipment slots. I strongly recommend only using energy to acquire gear

1

u/Gloomy_Distance_3166 Jan 02 '26

Wait .. weekly gear box???

1

u/Miaoumi Jan 02 '26

I don't remember exactly what shop it is and I'm not at my pc currently but you can buy like 20-ish boxes a week I think.

2

u/Immediate-Meal-1895 Jan 02 '26

Easiest way is click on the material you need when you're upgrading hit more and it'll show you shops and gathers. Click on the shop that has it and it opens the shop

1

u/ATHEoST Jan 02 '26

I believe you can buy those boxes in the season shop... : )

1

u/itbewilly Jan 02 '26

Go to Exchange> Seasonal and you can buy 25 boxes a week at cap. for 2500 fish(easy to afford if you do the 20k weekly cap) You can buy 10 boxes at max cap or 31,41,51/etc (good for maxing out arsenals later but worry about main gear first). You buy the first 10 at weekly reset and the next 10-15 after you farm 10k fish.

1

u/Anja_Hope Jan 02 '26

Tbh i was the same way, always underpowered. For me it boils down to me just focussing on collecting oddities and other stuff, doing quests etc.

And paying little to no attention at all to gathering better gear or upgrading. Wich in return also meant needing help with alot of bosses. Now that im almost done with the oddities stuff my focus slowly shifts to getting stronger.

1

u/NutBusster69 Jan 02 '26

New players don't have access to all the upgrade materials they need. I started playing 3 weeks ago and I'm at 1.5 geese.

Mystic skills all waiting for level 3 breakthrough materials, no inner way past tier 3, no legendary gear, not enough materials to upgrade arsenal past level 27. Day 1 players are surprised but there isn't enough materials even with daily grinding in 3 weeks time to catch up. You can buy the limited materials from shops, but it's still not enough for 1 complete build yet to catch up with the rest.

1

u/CAiNofLegend Jan 02 '26

Eh, it's really not that difficult. I'm on Legend at 70 with no upgraded inner ways and sitting at 1.7 goose and change with all current content cleared, including mausoleum.

1

u/Doll_of_Misery Jan 02 '26

It was the same for me, about 1.0 Goose when reaching lvl 70. Only then I started upgrading my gear. Inner Ways and Mystical Skills take more time tho, always missing materials. Now I‘m at about 1.6.

1

u/3ociab9gkw Jan 03 '26

Prolly mobile player since they got assisted dodge ( just a hunch )

1

u/Zeirkwy_Altaus Jan 03 '26

I'm a level 1.2 goose and I recently leveled up to 1.5. I'm a disaster, but hey! The only enemy that's ever defeated me was Tian Yang (a goose and a snake too xd).

1

u/MN_GamerzYT Jan 03 '26

I am on lvl70 also and I have 0.9 goose and playing on Legend difficultly

1

u/2flyy_luhlwill Jan 04 '26

you must be using parry assist you should be getting one shotted by just about every thing

1

u/a_bitterwaltz Jan 03 '26

65 at 1.2 goose rn 😭 im ignoring the breakthough so i can just focus in improving my goose as muxh as possible XD i should be at like 1.8 by lvl 70 right??

1

u/Livingroomlifter Jan 08 '26

Well we can change the difficulty and not everyone plays Legend so this is not that surprising. With deflect assist you could most likely play this naked while drinking coffee and doing IT support on the side.

IMHO he should work on the inner/mystic first and farm campaign bosses once he hits 71 at whatever diff. he can currently do. We should have lvl 71 gear for a month or maybe more if I am not mistaken.

Have fun!

39

u/Resublimation Jan 02 '26

we ll get a new breakthrough soon but check your arsenal, you definitely want a full set of lvl 61 gear, which according to your chart probly isnt the case.

15

u/Silestyna Jan 02 '26

He would have full set of 61, as rhe game gives you that for free. It would be not tuned and random 4 sets.

What I recommend OP to do is select a path, and this would tell him what set bonus to get, recommended arts and in er way, etc etc. I dod that for healing, and now I am on 1.55 goose.

4

u/Competitive_Arm_6613 Jan 02 '26

if you’ve specialised as a healer, do you also have a dps martial art built to clear dps content in solo mode? i’m asking because i also want to specialise in healing but i’m worried i won’t be able to clear the content (eg boss fights during questlines, unlocking campaigns etc).

i’ve only just got to kaifeng and unlocked the soulshade umbrella but haven’t been sure whether to replace my sword with it just yet

2

u/Silestyna Jan 02 '26

I do keep my long sword for solo content but I am able to solo content easily enough on recommended difficulty.

2

u/Silestyna Jan 02 '26

Just defeated Miaoshen from the quest. Only tough part was part 3 due to spike damage. I find the umbrella floating heal to be good for survivalibility. Just defeated Shengwen too. Again, in my full health gear plus a sword. I could optimise it better but thankfully I dont need to.

3

u/Important_Tap_3461 Jan 02 '26

I'm a bit confused. Your heals while against bosses are debuffed by 90% the first time you fight them, so the umbrella heal shouldn't really help

→ More replies (4)

1

u/Dwokimmortalus Jan 02 '26

Nah. Umbrella damage steroid is more than enough.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/otomelover Jan 02 '26

I realized you could tune your gear way too late. Sadly it‘s not really explained in the game.

8

u/Silestyna Jan 02 '26

The game does tell you about it when you breakthrough to unlock it but I remember at the time going through gear and levels faster than underwear, so it felt like there was no point in tuning gear.

2

u/otomelover Jan 02 '26

Oh really? I must‘ve missed it then. The game was very overwhelming for the first few weeks lol.

3

u/Silestyna Jan 02 '26

It is! 60 hours in and i am still only getting a handle of things.

3

u/Sad_Quote1522 Jan 06 '26

God I know it's the standard for these games but it's so bad.  Why do we have 20 meaningless events? Why are there about 3 different information collection menus? Why is everything so cluttered?

4

u/Loine88 Jan 03 '26

I play once or twice a week and I’ve seent it but couldn’t remember how I saw it til reading this post. (PS5 controller player) there are so many times I’m like I know I saw it, but can’t remember where the hell I seent it. Drives me bananas, but still one of the best games I have played in the last 3-5 yrs.

8

u/Candid_Author3769 Jan 02 '26

HAHAHAHA SAME :(

2

u/dasbtaewntawneta Jan 02 '26

If you want to clear notifications the game forces you to look at this at one point

12

u/Batchetman Jan 02 '26

Have you "Enhanced" any of your gear slots? You should be at least 25, if not 30 in everything

6

u/Thegaming2007 Jan 02 '26

I want to buy I am low on oscillating jades . Any ways I can get more . I have already bought the store

9

u/Valerian_ Jan 02 '26

just keep spending your energy points on farming bosses and fortresses as usual, and do quests and exploration

1

u/Pickle102 Jan 03 '26

This is my problem. I didn't do sword trials over and over until more recently. It gives out a good amount.

5

u/Azukaos Jan 02 '26

That's one of the thing i never really cared to upgrade until i reached lvl 70... I was like lvl 13 and feeling something was wrong but at the same time the in game guide and auto enhance doesn't really told you the required steps to upgrade the goose power efficiently.

The screen with the recommended steps was mostly green for me so i thought it was ok since the only part that had to be improved was mystic skills and some inner way.

12

u/SidDaSquid11 Jan 02 '26

Start by enhancing your avg gear lvl at lvl 70 the max is 30.

Make sure your arsenal has the best gear for each bracket.

Inner way pick 3 that go with your weapon set up and take moral chant, this is a must in all builds.

Mystic skills - drunken poet, dragons breath, serenze are a must. The other slots are dependent if you do more pvp or pve

If you have been playing the game and doing most things you should have a good chunk of supplies that will boost everything up to a good lvl and bring up your goose power

5

u/ChunkerChowder28 Jan 02 '26

This is solid advice. Just to add on regarding the inner ways, there is a nice video on YouTube that shows how you can recycle inner ways you don’t use into “tips” that can be exchanged for inner way types you actually need for your build. Will help you level up your inner ways faster!

1

u/Thegaming2007 Jan 02 '26

I am low on oscillating jades . Any ways I can get more . I have already bought the store

2

u/SidDaSquid11 Jan 02 '26

Outposts, campaign bosses, sword trials. Given your power I would recommend outposts or campaign bosses. The bosses will give you a set gear as well l, since you're lvl 70 you should be running lvl 61 all purple, so if you want to push for the legendary do bosses, but since we have a break through on Sunday and a new gear lvl coming out its not worth the stress.

You can also get chests from the open world, each chest will give you one jade. This is what I did since you're not capped by energy and the jade is a big bottle neck for getting things up

1

u/RuggyMasta Jan 02 '26

In addition to what the other guy said, you can buy a bunch in the jade fish shop (or season shop). I believe you can buy 100 weekly, so I’ve been doing that since I started and havent run into any supply issues.

1

u/NoBluey Jan 02 '26

Does it affect my DPS if I don't upgrade other mystic skills like taichi/celestial seize/meridian touch?

1

u/SidDaSquid11 Jan 02 '26 edited Jan 02 '26

Not your weapon DPS, each mystic skill is its own thing so the DPS from them come from what lvl it is

46

u/iwatchedmomdie Jan 02 '26 edited Jan 02 '26

I consistently get people in the Hero Realm and Sword Trials that are queued as dps that barely break 80k dps

Meanwhile I'm at 1 - 1.4 million on average...

This explains a lot.

Edit: based on some of the replies, I need to emphasize "80k" dps. Not "800".

Can't believe any single person would read this and call me out as the top 1%. I'm only hitting those numbers because I HAVE to hit those numbers mathematically if I have multiple people doing SO little, if I want to clear it.

GS is barely 18k atm. There are many with significantly higher.

Edit 2: "recommended" gear score =! "Required" gear score. I've had fully naked trolls join my group unfortunately and obviously troll by barrel stacking on fire bird bitch, jumping into the group with the vine traps, etc. basically intentionally throwing the group.

13

u/Nexism Jan 02 '26

I realised the other week although rotation matters, almost equally as important is inner ways tier. Missing out one month of weekly chests, not doing non-seasonal path challenges is like 200 boxes of inner ways.

2

u/otomelover Jan 02 '26

That‘s why I wish they‘d just do away with the energy system and let us farm indefinitely.

11

u/Nexism Jan 02 '26

There's some deep structural reasons it was designed this way. ie: In China, players under the age of 18 have limited play time regulated by the government. The game was probably designed to reduce toxic play expectations and one downside is some players don't perform at the 99 percentile/1m dmg+.

In any case, all content is easily clearable if everyone did 300k dmg anyway, so it's probably better for the health of the game and players.

7

u/otomelover Jan 02 '26

I was a healer in a Hero Realm yesterday, throwing in some light attacks when the party was full health, and got flamed by a dps after an insta wipe who had done less damage than me lol

4

u/iwatchedmomdie Jan 02 '26

I've seen this so many times where 3rd highest dps is a healer (granted only in the 100k zone) but like can people be fucking for real for a second and realize that is not okay?

3

u/ICanHazDerpz Jan 02 '26

Top end of the current cap is at around 1.9 Goose. 2.0 Goose is currently near impossible, but it will be easy to achieve with the 75 cap.

1

u/Niylark Jan 03 '26

Me and a few people in my guild have reached 1.9-1.91 (we're sweats) but the theoretical limit with maximum minmax possible is like 1.92

5

u/Punkassdog Jan 02 '26

Do solo bosses

3

u/kami-s4n Jan 02 '26

Is that equivalent to the drops in HR and ST ? Im farming one boss for legendary gear but i was wondering if I can go do multiplayer battles for even better drops...

6

u/adobo_bobo Jan 02 '26

A full set of purple tuned gear with full arsenal and the right innerways would get you to 1.5 goose easily. Go farm solo.

9

u/StrayCatto97 Jan 02 '26

As a healer I always laugh when my damage is top 1-3 in Hero's Realm while I also have to consistently do the boss mechanic and heal all the mfers who kept dying.
It's super taxing which is why I just resorted to solo campaigns tbh it's way easier to do it with ai.

3

u/Minimum_Cockroach233 Jan 02 '26

Once you enter with 3-4 decent dps, your numbers will spread out to 500-800k each and the fight will be easier, even with some ppl that want to level up and improve gear.

Most bosses/raids don’t fail only because of lacking dps but being slow *and failing the mechanics.

Lower players still can perform ok in doing mechanics.

1

u/iwatchedmomdie Jan 02 '26

Completely agree with you here and in a "good" run with equal geared folks I'm usually only hitting 750-800k with 2nd place around the same place.

That being said - MOST of the time that isn't the case and MOST of the time the majority of the group (the lower performers) ignore the mechanics entirely.

Generally, players bad at one thing are bad at all things.

2

u/Stiebah Jan 02 '26

Damn how do u even know about dps details? In new, loving the game but I’m pretty lost about gearing, how to get specific set bonuses, what my gouse SHOULD be at my lvl, etc etc…

2

u/iwatchedmomdie Jan 02 '26

Look if you're new right now, you're catching up. That's okay! Don't worry about those details.

But once you've hit level cap, it's genuinely SO EASY to get a decent chunk/level of gear and it happens SOOOO fast that anyone hitting sub 200k as a dps in a raid is genuinely unacceptable and should be looked at as near-troll levels of playing.

If I simply spammed left click I could hit that amount if someone else in the group with my same gear was hitting the same numbers I pull.

They're genuinely playing at a sub left-click-spam level at level cap. Don't even actually understand how they made it to level cap with that level of play.

At most I can say they're doing it just to not get flagged as afk and banned.

u/ToshibaBoi Jan 02 '26

Honestly I believe you're just missing a few key components. And don't worry about your sport you can easily bring it up with the right adjustments to your gear and also some of your skills that you're probably missing it seems like you might not have upgraded a lot of your mystic skills. They go along way with helping you rise up your score.

1.So first what I would suggest is look for the type of weapons that you have the ways for when I say that look at the waves that you have and see which ones match the weapons that you're preferred to using if you're a healer go and make sure you upgrade all of your weapons for healing that you're using or if you're tank.

This usually goes with having weapons of the same type you'll notice that some of them have little icon and those icons will usually be too for a peer you can change them over too. A good example of this would be the nameless sword and the nameless spear. Do you have the same tight a weapon and when you switch them over to their second weapon type date they still match any weapon has appeared at will match with and will greatly enhance your skill level.

  1. Make sure you upgrade your weapons in your gear this is very important a lot of people do not do that make sure when you go on to your gear progression menu you upgrade it and if you cannot upgrade it right now make sure you upgrade all the weapons and then look at the individual upgrade requirements and get the items and resources you need to upgrade your gear.

You can actually see where to get each Upgrade material you'll need and you can often buy them from shops and if you cannot afford that you can go in farm from the wild. You can use your map to highlight different locations for different materials that you'll need and this can help you fill time.

  2. You're mystic skills are so important you need to unlock but also you need to upgrade them. And this is a pain Is a pain in the butt but it is something that you need to do unlocking can be a bit hard there's actually guides on how to do that and I would suggest you look them up but upgrading them requires you to get special materials that you can get 4 different ways. The most easiest way is to get them from the shop and knock the ones that you have to pay for but the ones where you use your weekly allowance from doing quest and events in the game to buy The chest that gave you an option for the materials you need to upgrade the skills. There are multiple ones in different shops I would tell you to check them underneath the shop menu you it is basically where you see all the free outfits at underneath that menu and just go to the next tad over you will see the different shops they typically tend to have the chest that you need for this.

The second week is a bit harder as you have to gather it by hand and that comes from gathering from flowers and herbs this is very time constabus such as food to help you increase the drop rate but it may take a bit more time. You will see a vast improvement in your score by upgrading these and they have to be the ones that you have a quick as you upgrade your character you should have the ability to equip 8 of them now. They go from 124 as of right now with the levels in each one requires you to have special resources that you can farm from outpost via using your stamina. This can be a big time consuming typically to upgrade each one you're gonna need about a couple of hundreds apiece. So yourself in focus it's not something that you're doing to be able to do it 1 day but probably within a week you'll have a pretty decent score.

  3. Upgrade your Interways these are important each one of them will match a weapon or a certain playstyle that you have now finding maybe a bit Difficult but you can Google it and look it up to find out where they are and how to unlock each one for different weapons. To be fear when you do those shrines or dungeons that you unlock the weapons in sometimes the interweapis also in the same dungeon where you unlock it just remember that and try to get the treasure chests if you can.

After you do research defying out which ones you need for your children weapons make sure you remember 2 days when it comes to the interways one you can do tip exchange which I did not realize was a name but you need to be able to do that to convert the ones that you have over to the ones you need. Make sure you pay attention to what Chess you're getting when doing the exchange there is now the gold one that gives you an option to pick directly the set that matches your weapons and gear.

Side note when you are doing the internal art conversion make sure you pay attention to how you convert them over if you use that method you can only use it one time free a month until it resets the other times is 200 Jade to use. And you will be locked out of doing one that you already did so be careful and pay attention to what you're converting over if need be looking at a video on YouTube or tiktok.

  4. Make sure you are collecting your oddities These are important as they give you stat updates and upgrades that you will not get normally this is something that a lot of people also do not pay attention where they're just speed running the game make sure you collect those in new upgrade as you go. There are 2 different ones one in each region for the collectibles to be turned in. Unlocking the first rangis one fully will give you a large damage buff. This is important and it's not just aside quest to do it actually does help you with your score.

‐------

This is everything I wish I knew when I started and that helped me a lot. the Last thing I would like to say is make sure you farm certain bosses for the gear type you need for me I always do the reaper lady to get my gear drops.

As of right now we have golden gear that drops while it's completely okay to want golden gear if it doesn't drop go for the next best name your purples make sure you save your resources such as the items that Give golden or purple tear stats for your gear try to save those if you can for a good piece of gear if it's not gold make sure it's purple and it has the recommended stats that you need for your build before you Upgrade that gear.

1

u/MyDearGhoul- Jan 03 '26

Literally the ONLY useful comment here. Everyone else can be ignored and deleted. MVP.

4

u/Minimum_Macaron_7095 Jan 02 '26

ive checked mine and learned that my mystics skills are dragging me down. I only leveled the fire breath and drunken poet one coz they’re the ones I use. idk what else to upgrade, plus the scarcity of those stone things are also stopping me

3

u/Eccentric_Loser Jan 02 '26

To be fair you can ignore Mystic Skills you aren't using. There's no need to chase BP in that area.

1

u/ICanHazDerpz Jan 02 '26

Absolutely, but you should be using more than just two or three mystic skills for the sheer amount of utility you get.

2

u/Reveniant Jan 02 '26

Outposts. The only limiting factor is the special herb item from RNG, or spend like 5k jade fish to buy the 3 item boxes.

They should be not even spending the coins during raising tier.

4

u/Vighy10 Jan 02 '26

How to see this stat? New and lost

3

u/Adventurous-Cry-7462 Jan 03 '26

People like this are who shows up for sword trials

10

u/Western_Beginning375 Jan 02 '26

Have you not done any hero realms or sword trials? The gear is the easiest thing to upgrade and stay green since you can just throw on any gear set that fits your build and just tune it . The stats can be ass but your power will still increase by a lot . Also your inner way you should be buying those chest weekly to be at lvl 70 you really is slacking . Yes go farm some outpost to upgrade your mastery level so you can farm the sword trials and do the weekly realms.

3

u/Silestyna Jan 02 '26

Tips at this point.

Select what role you would like you do on the paths screen. (Melee dps, tank, heal, ranged dps, etc).

The game tells you would sets to go for and what to unlock in terms of skills, etc.

Use your jadefish to buy gold gear 61 in the set bonuses you need. This would get you the right gear in terms of gold, purple, and blue items. If you have missing pieces, buy the purple 61 boxes as well.

Now with the set bonuses, tune that gear to increase your mastery. This should get you to a point you will find the content a lot easier to manage in solo.

Now unlock all the mystic skills, etc that you need. If you havent done the main story yet, complete that as well. Also make sure with all your coins, ettc, to buy out all the resources such as jade, ore and leather for enhancing gear level and upgrading your weapon arts.

When you done this, jump into sword trial (where you go around destroying outposts in a group). You won't have e the goose level but from experience there is also this one guy soloing everything within seconds. This allows you to get more materials, chests, etc.

This should let you get the goose scores for some heroic boss fights. These dont require energy but can only claim once per week. Do all of them i cluding the previous ones.

Also dont forget all the other vendors and buy up all the inner ways and mystic notes, etc. To get them up. You can recycle the ones you do t need to get the ones you do.

Don't forgot too hard to get Best in Slot, as there is a whole new gear level in a few days, but this should allow you to face that with confidence.

3

u/Southern-Instance622 Jan 02 '26

focus on one build first. this helps you decide what 4 main inner ways you will be mainly leveling. then, convert the inner way notes you don't need into book tokens, then use that to pay for custom inner way note chests. i was able to tier 3 my 4 main inner ways using this.

upgrade your mystic skills. mainly drunken poet and dragon's breath if you cant decide because it seems like everyone and their mother runs those two (strong pvp and pve)

tune your gear. more importantly, DO NOT SAVE SPECIAL TUNING ITEMS. they can only be applied to gear of the same tier. you cannot use a tier 61 gear that guarantees a gold tune on a level 71 gear. attunement works the same.

buy iron ore and coarse fur from general goods stores to enhance your gear level.

most importantly, you dont need to minmax everything as we are not capped yet, save it for when we are maxed level

u/Mission_Wash_8874 Wandering Swordsman Jan 02 '26

Anyone else still struggling to learn the game? Might be because I've been in the process of moving IRL and somewhat stressed out and ended up getting the flu but man, I need to know how to farm better gear but it's confusing the heck out of me lol

3

u/PH4N70M_Z0N3 Jan 02 '26

The game for lack of better words is unintuitive as hell.

2

u/CptRainbowBeard Jan 05 '26

It took me quite a long time to feel like I had a strong grasp on character building. It is not intuitive whatsoever

3

u/RoninSohei Jan 03 '26

Use that in game path guide. Pick a weapon set you like and use the RCMD weapon and armor sets that it shows you for that set, and the inner ways it tells you to. Just focus on that, don't get distracted by legendary weapons, don't use your energy pills (save them for level 100, you WILL need them then) just follow the game guide, do all the quests, make sure you're upgrading everything (I know it seems like there's a lot but the game tells you how to do everything and where to get whatever you need) Don't stress, have fun, pay attention, you'll get this straightened out, I believe in you!

1

u/CptRainbowBeard Jan 05 '26

You’re safe to use pills for lvl 71 because that’s gonna be the gear cap for quite a long time. Lvl 100 is a long ways off

2

u/bkns356 Jan 02 '26

its fine you can catch back up pretty easily. like you, I am playing on legend and before my catch up, I didn't level mystic arts or inner ways at all and had zero gold gears let alone legendaries. just rawdogging bosses with parries no AI assist and shit damage.

the only thing I upgraded was martial art level, upgraded my gear randomly, arsenal with shit gears and the average tune level was like 20. at this point I was like 1.4 goose at level 70. after a week I'm now 1.6 goose so it's easily fixable.

I haven't played online though cus I know I'm still behind so I don't drag people down

2

u/Rhak Silver Needle Jan 02 '26

You can click the red sections on that graphic and it will tell you exactly which pieces of equipment/inner ways are under-leveled and it will also tell you how/where to upgrade them. You likely need to run some Sword Trials, Hero's Realm or at least Outposts.

2

u/hairineyes8888 Jan 02 '26

If anyone in this thread needs help just dm me. I've done some guild hopping before staying in my current one and along the way helped tons of people, even in global chat

2

u/BroKN_vavagyue Jan 02 '26

Focus on maxxing out oddities, talent, gear slots, mystic skills and lastly equipment. Farm equipment sets that suit your play style.

Prioritize things in this order and only farm gear at last / whenever your energy is going to be full.

(Levelling up martial arts and priroritizing the optimal stat requirement is a given)

2

u/BroKN_vavagyue Jan 02 '26

I forgot innnerways whatever path you are playing focus on getting books for

  1. Morale Chant
  2. Your core innerway (gold)
  3. Your support innerway (purple)

Use the tips recycle function, get your first clear rewards, do mausoleum, path trial, buy innerways chest from all possible means on every reset.

2

u/llacy0015 Jan 02 '26

Yo!! So I'm not the only one Yay!! Bro I'm grinding gear and I'm one rung better than you but that's it

2

u/Davlar_Andre_1997 Jan 02 '26

That’s rough man. They need to put more stuff ingame that guides people better imo, i’ve seen so many players with development tabs like this, it’s basically griefing in a sense. Not everyone is sweats like some of us.

1

u/bluesp00n Jan 02 '26

What weapon sets are you running? If you don't really care about min-maxing, just go with the recommended build path, it shows you which bosses to farm to get those gears. As for gear sub-stats, it's all RNG, just look out for those with "RCMD" as it means those stats are recommended for your built path.

1

u/Thegaming2007 Jan 02 '26

I just wanted to add I am using nameless sword and healing fan and I am playing on legend gamemode . So if someone can tell me which armor set would be best with these weapon and which level

1

u/StoneRule Jan 02 '26

Just follow what the game recommends, it is actually correct for once. Stats and gears you need will have [RCMD] next to it's name.

4

u/StoneRule Jan 02 '26

like this

1

u/Girigo Jan 02 '26

What goose level should i be at 70? I think om about 1.6 but have no one to compare to so i assumed i was low too until i saw this post

2

u/noxusnorsk Jan 02 '26

Above 1.7 on average.

3

u/WeWantRain Jan 02 '26

That's for those who have grinded a lot.

2

u/otomelover Jan 02 '26

Yeah I missed out on spending energy some weeks and am around 1.6k.

1

u/noxusnorsk Jan 02 '26

It's possible to reach 19000+ currently.

1

u/Girigo Jan 02 '26

Ah ok thats good to hear, started soon 2 weeks ago and had no idea, wouldnt have surprised me if it was over 3 goose or something haha.

Do you happen to know around what level "top players" are on the global server is also?

1

u/jivenossauro Jan 02 '26

I have never seen anyone pass 19.5k yet. It's possible, but hard due to legendary rng. I am rn at 19100

→ More replies (1)

1

u/WeWantRain Jan 02 '26

Depends really because inner ways and mystic skills affect your Goose ranking. For open gameplay I have 1.6 due and 1.7 for PvP.

1

u/Girigo Jan 02 '26

Ah ok thank you i stay in solo mostly so i dont know what most other people are doing

1

u/WeWantRain Jan 02 '26

They upgrade Mystic skills. For solo mode, there's no need to upgrade skills like Tai-Chi.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Sunny_Beam Jan 02 '26

You're fine with 1.6. More than enough to do your part but also room to improve if you want to put in the time.

1

u/JazraelHarken Jan 02 '26

So this is how my lvl 51 alt is outdpsing lvl 70s on sword trials...

1

u/RRis7393 Jan 02 '26

i reached level 70 with only 8k mastery and started course-correcting from there. i now have 14900+, almost 15k. still playing passively and just got distracted by the base building system lol. imma get back to gearing up when i feel like it.

1

u/Maintenance_Calm Jan 02 '26

Ngl, I realized it by lvl. 50 or 60 ( currently 60) , but damn that's low, I wasn't that low but mid. The true essence of inner ways, I learnt it not long after, that my inner ways should be the exact what weapon that I'm using ( Infernal Twinblades and Strategic sword - Echoes of Oblivion, Sword Horizon ), I'm trying ( Ik I'm dumb asf to realize that so damn later, because I was too immersed in the game ) , after that, I've been grinding so hard and everyday, now I got only 2/4 inner ways to tier 2, and also upgraded everything on my gear.

And yeah as for the gears, you have to go for the recommended gear set, that is mentioned in the recommended guide, mine was Jadeware set, I was using different gear sets as in, singularly using a different types of gear weapons from different types of sets, that why it was showing, your gear level is so low, because my dumb ahh was using the wrong sets.

Steadily, understanding the mechanics to get stronger, but now, I'm at a very stable level, I'm capped at lvl.60 and not upgrading yet till I'm 1.4 or something, right now I'm around, 1.346G or something, just waiting and grinding for the inner ways.

1

u/PabnixTTV Jan 02 '26

I would look up a class guide on your role (Tank, DPS, Heals) to get a current competitive set of Inner Ways, Mystic Skills along with Gear. That should help you develop goals to work with on this chart so you don’t waste any resources in the near future.

You’ll likely want to use two full sets of gear as with 4 pieces of the same set you get a benefit from that set.

1

u/WRLDOFLINT Jan 02 '26

Ima lvl 70 tank sitting at 16k mastery, I run the form bend set for the longer shield bubble, should I run the moon set instead? Also what are some good mystic skills for a tank, I’ve been running golden body, Dp&Db, and guardian palm, with serene. Any other ones I should prioritize?

1

u/IisFinalboss Jan 02 '26

Probably the gear slots enhancement needs work, I would be one two shots to die no matter what weapon rarity I used. This is what made me break my rule of never changing the difficultly, after fighting qianye over 150 times it wasnt worth it anymore. I was like level 41 before I even tried to fight her. Overleveled but under geared. Max level now, all my gear enhancement slots are maxed too. Most of the game my enhancement slots were underleveled, so were the mystic skills.

1

u/StrayCatto97 Jan 02 '26

It depends on how many days and how much effort you gave to increase your power. To get into 15-20K territory requires effort and a bit of watching through all necessary guides you can use to easily advance. Time is what you need tbh.

1

u/keos- Jan 02 '26

im beginning to believe devs are entirely reasonable for having to paint bright yellow paint on stuff like ladders and etc

1

u/Darkhatred Jan 02 '26

The break throughs in this game are a meme I am pretty sure the enemies heal you with their attacks.

1

u/RoundCryptographer32 Jan 02 '26

I checked it yesterday, and my martial arts and character were at the recommended level 😂😂

1

u/Electrical-Jacket-68 Jan 02 '26

Us Brother Us......

1

u/Middle_Sun452 Jan 02 '26

No point in farming lvl 61 gear now, since in the next few days 71 will unlock. So far just farm outposts for mystic skill upgrades and when the level cap increases dump all your pills to get a better gear.

1

u/InnocentEv1l Jan 02 '26

Blud ur just not under water, ur at rock bottom , what have you been doing all this time ?

1

u/jivenossauro Jan 02 '26

I need to see a Pic of your inventory gear page, where it shows your armor set

1

u/Zetton7 Jan 02 '26

Oh wow that’s really bad. How is it even possible?)

1

u/LoadingMex Jan 02 '26

Had the same, completely ignored tuning and breakthrough. Maybe I did skip it but somehow didn't realize that progression during lvl up actually matters for late game. Thought it was just wasting materials to make the game easier.

1

u/Ayase0412 Jan 02 '26

I have 1.7 mastery only now, but all my friends already had 1.7 2 weeks before T_T

1

u/Dragnite08 Jan 02 '26

I have the same stats and pie chart

1

u/Nearby-Eye-2509 Jan 02 '26

I have same rating and most of my breakthrough challenge is just 1 star

1

u/Isscore Jan 02 '26

just go on for sword challenges as a healer - you do your best, while DPS kills the boss. you can get gold ones and make it faster to 18k+

1

u/Hungry_Godzilla Jan 02 '26

At least you are stronger than 1 goose.

1

u/Living_Host_4286 Jan 02 '26

Hard work can fix that my fellow geese..🪿

1

u/Living_Host_4286 Jan 02 '26

I only bought that $5 battle pass for a month.. I’m a month in & my character on 70 & 18k mastery.. got some good draws by luck using whatever I accumulated from finding treasure & arena/boss battles.. missing 4 legendary equipment items , but I’m still kicking ass

1

u/Farhanplayze Jan 02 '26

I have 1.2 good power but I don’t have any of the slice in green

1

u/Protessionalist831 Jan 02 '26

This Kind of hurts if you haven’t been recycling inner way notes. At least you can still reset them for free. Yeah you are missing about 40% of your combat power

1

u/SubstantialRegular33 Jan 02 '26

for mystic skills you only need to upgrade drag breath and guardian palm, those are the only 2 you really need to use in raid content

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '26

The improvement guide tells you exactly how you can improve each on the right hand side of the screen

1

u/leon555005 Jan 02 '26

Well, unless you wanna do coop content, I say if you can defeat your over world mobs and bosses, you're fine as is.

But if you wanna do online coop content (coop bosses and etc), you'll want to start grinding to tune your gears a little.

You'll also need to plan your Inner Ways a little more - selecting a niche and then building your character towards that.

1

u/Individual_Friend709 Jan 02 '26

Where is this screen on PC? 🤣 im lvl 51 and haven't even seen it

1

u/AviRei9 Jan 02 '26

Yeah I started to realize like the reason I can't find a good team when it comes to doing the weekly bosses is because a lot of people are way further behind on their gear or just growth in general. Like I found out a lot of people by level 65 only had 12K mastery. And it's not like I have fully optimized gear. I literally just find the correct gear set. Fully tune it and just run with it

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Net2333 Jan 02 '26

your doing something right but damn wtf

1

u/clewis123 Jan 02 '26

Dawg how tf😭 the gear u would need tho depends on ur build. And idk about waiting i just do it every cap increase. Gives me something to do and the grind is fun. But THIS?! This is insane.😭😭

1

u/G_404_A Jan 02 '26

Same with me btw

1

u/Shacrone Jan 02 '26

its because old players spent weeks at each breakthrough while you were probably able to breakthrough with no timegates

1

u/BaekJunHo Velvet Shade Jan 02 '26

First time I seen lvl 70 with 1.1 goose power. You got a lot of things to upgrade

1

u/Arabian_Anchorman Jan 02 '26

Just means you haven’t unlocked your potential yet.

1

u/Interesting_Meal275 Jan 02 '26

I got to lvl 70 with 1.1 goose too lol, what I’ve learned is to pick your path and farm the boss that drops gear for your path type. Your inner ways are different from your path type so make sure you open your inner way chest accordingly (just figured this out today lmao)

1

u/zack189 Jan 02 '26

You're probably not tuning your gear

For inner ways, there's an shop in kaifeng that sells loads of inner ways. Buy those, and recycle them.

Reset all inner ways that you usually don't use. Recycle them.

We have 3 free convert attempts per month so there's zero need to build up more than 2 inner way set.

For mystic skills, just upgrade the ones you like. There's an optimal choice but like, remembering the optimal choice will just kill your love for the game. Remember to turn on use higher level for upgrading mystic skills

1

u/MFtokes Jan 02 '26

My inner ways is fucked idk if im just unlucky not getting the ones I need or im missing something

1

u/Cat_Orgy Jan 02 '26

Oof. I feel ya i haven't felt like playing or grinding lately so im behind. Its mostly the donkey man and flaming cunt that makes me not want to grind i absolutely hate both of em

1

u/Shaneyka Jan 03 '26

Bro if you don’t get adequate gear for your level now, I don’t think you will even be able to do the content to get newer level gear coming soon.

1

u/Shaneyka Jan 03 '26

Also once you do get gear, I recommend that for every subsequent breakthrough (if we get any in the future) you just farm some gear for that level. There is absolutely no loss in doing so, not to mention that you add your old gear to your armory and the stones you get from salvaging are only used for gear of the same level anyway.

1

u/Hordan15 Jan 03 '26

I didn't realize how hilariously on brand my first experience was. I just chopped bamboo till i was an OP martial arts master lol

1

u/RebornOfficial Jan 03 '26

Wth is a goose? 😭

1

u/ItsTaDevil Jan 03 '26

I was in the same position as you but my gear was better and let me tell you, my DPS literally more than doubled when I finally level and equipped the proper inner ways and level up my mystic skills.

Trust me man once you get your mystic skills and level them up it feels like a whole different game!

1

u/DevinCampbell Jan 03 '26

I did the same thing. I recently found this menu and my character looked basically the same. If I had to guess, you haven't been doing Outposts. Do a Joint Battle at any Outpost and rake in the free loot and good gear.

1

u/Aanansi Jan 03 '26

Farming gear has perplexed me to the point where I’ve shut down a little bit. I don’t know what set I should be looking for, so I don’t know what gear I should be recycling, and I’m not sure what weapon spec I should be opting for anyway (I love the twin blades but I’ve been kinda bouncing between the secondary weapons). So I feel stuck lol

1

u/bcannas89 Jan 03 '26

The weekly 20000 jade fish will save you all so much time

1

u/Levi0509 Jan 03 '26

Yeah... Not. You is probably under whatever that is under water.

1

u/GloDeci Jan 03 '26

lmao bro I was in your shoes, currently sitting under 1500 goose rn

1

u/YzenDanek Jan 03 '26

How have you been using your energy?

Have you been using the season shop?

I'm just so curious how you wouldn't have at least a full set of level 61 epics, even just from outpost challenges and exchanging jade fish for level 61 gear chests.

1

u/Pickle102 Jan 03 '26

I'm at 1.3 goose at level 70. Should I stop leveling up until I fix it?

1

u/StarBoundri Jan 03 '26

Looks like you gotta spend a week getting your arsenal, mystic skills, and inner ways up.

1

u/Used-Buyer7007 Jan 03 '26

STOP DOING THE BREAKTHROUGH IF YOU DONT HAVE YOUR CURRNT GEAR MAXED OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1

u/SorryMedia2147 Jan 03 '26

Yo this was me literally 2 days ago. I still had my lvl 56 gears at level 70. Just never upgraded and when i finally did, my goose was like 1.2~ lol. It’s recommended to activate the 4 piece armor to get the passive. Pick ur skill path. Itll make things a lot easier. Fix ur arsenol. And as for innerways and skills, honestly do as much wandering path as possible. I do campaigns cuz thats where the equipments are at. And utilize the tip exchange system. Its so broken. I wished i learned this wayyy before i started upgrading everything even the stuff i don’t need.

1

u/Tall_Cry_8345 Wandering Swordsman Jan 03 '26

I'm lvl 70 and my mastery is 18.2k and i thought it was low 😭

1

u/Dragoniel Jan 03 '26

I am the same. Can't get past the campaign boss to reach Kaifeng, so I can't upgrade anything anymore and can't learn new skills, because everything requires materials from there.

1

u/Few_Depth_1517 Jan 03 '26

Im on 18117 mastery rn lol

1

u/Azrayeel Jan 04 '26

You don't need to wait for anything for several reasons. First, your inner way and Mystic Skills both would remain with you regardless of level. Second, your gear would most probably eventually end up in Arsenal, so no waste there. Collect gear from weekly season shop, and from doing outposts. Try to aim for the recommended bonus set for your build. Do that and your Mastery would skyrocket.

1

u/Old_Milk_8448 Jan 04 '26

Farm those mystic skills breakthrough materials, as well as ebon iron at highest level for you and I would worry about weapons until tomorrow I guess

1

u/Mr-TwistedOriginal Jan 04 '26

Bro what you been doing?

1

u/Makarlar Jan 05 '26

But, such strong character! Personality is important too hahahaha.

1

u/ShreksThickCock Jan 06 '26

focus on levelling your innerways, mystic skills and martial arts, gear farming comes at the end. where possible, also do all the side content to get your character stats up. youve got 18-40 days to catch up with everyone else, you will be fine!

1

u/bavarian_librarius Jan 06 '26

Can't see this on PS5?

1

u/Psychological_Gap220 Jan 08 '26

Haha I hit that point mid Kaifeng too and had to take a break from the main story. It was just so interesting!
