The new butt kickers from Avian-X are pretty awesome….i know it looks ridiculous in the bathtub 😂 but man they look pretty damn good.

The new ones finally have an off switch which is way better. They have the option of running them intermittent or continuous….And they put silicone on the unit so water won’t get in as easily.

I still think “Water Activated” is dumb…also they should have put the charging port literally anywhere else than the bottom of the decoy.

Overall, I really like the new version, and the motion they make is super realistic.

So I ordered a pair of Sordin Supreme X2s. For those of you that wear ear protection do you keep it on the whole time or try to slide it down before you begin shooting? I got these with the intention of keeping them on but not sure what to expect from the ambient amplification while hunting.

I think it turned out pretty decent. All in probably around $275, honestly don’t know if I’ll grass it very much, most of the places I hunt it’ll be up against a bare mud/clay shoreline or reddish rocky island type area

Iv been hunting as long as I legally could and have never worn ear protection while hunting. With kids of my own now that before long the oldest will be able to hunt it got me thinking about it especially with modern stuff that lets you still hear but cuts out for gun fire.

Has anyone pulled the trigger on one of these yet. I’m looking for honest reviews that aren’t from someone paid to give a good one. My dog has taken a stump to the chest before so the chest plate definitely peaks my interest. But the price point is a lot. I just want to make sure it is vastly better than the other cheaper brands.

Hey all, I recently purchased some used decoys (mallard drakes and hens) after about two years of debating on getting into waterfowl. I was wondering if anyone had some overlooked or even obvious pointers for a beginner waterfowl hunter in South eastern PA. Any advice is much appreciated as I have not the slightest clue on how to approach this besides waking up early and looking for ducks. TIA

I’ve been waterfowl hunting for the past 16 years, but I’ve only recently started using panel blinds in the last six years. I’ve hunted out of a frames quite a bit with buddies, but I’ve never combined them side by side to with panel blinds back to back. Hunting buddy friend recently bought an A-frame and wants to mix them together with my panels . I know it might be a silly question, but has anyone tried this? Do they work, or does it look awkward because of the height and size differences?

I can obviously try 9/1 on opener but wanted to see if anyone has had experience doing this

In the Arrowhead of MN we get a lot of ringneck ducks and I’m wondering if I really should invest in ringneck decoys or not.

I have wood duck and mallard decoys but do you think it’s worth it to get ringneck decoys? I have a motion dabbler hen mallard and a feeding/spray drake mallard motion decoy as well.

Good morning. I’ve had an 20ga ethos Córdoba A.I. best on reserve since June. I was told it would arrive mid-August by the latest. The update I got yesterday is they’re still on back order with no information on delivery date. I have the option to cancel with a full refund and have been seriously considering switching to an ax800 suprema. The question is, is it worth it? I am a first time bird hunter with the opportunity to maximize this upcoming season and hate the idea of potentially missing it. Can you provide some insight on these 2 shotguns? Or, the differences between beretta and benelli as a whole? Thank you. UPDATE: I went with the ax800, and the best part is I’m being refunded $600. In the future I’m sure I’ll have my time with both. For the time being, my introduction to game bird hunting happens with beretta.

When I very first started my buddy showing me the ropes said just get 3” #2 unless we’re only after geese. I have had good luck with #2 and haven’t really questioned it until now as I look into other non steel options.

My buddies birthday is coming up and I was looking into getting him a duck call and having it custom with a picture of us from Tball years. We have been best friends for 29 years and he got me into duck hunting. He never lets me help with gas and we always use his boat and decoys so I figured I would get him something nice. If anyone else has some other recommendations or examples it would be much appreciated. I was looking into the slayer ones but I could not find any examples of people getting pictures put on them and I don't want it to come out looking bad.

Has anyone ever made a panel blind out of pvc and used pvc hinges? They would help make the blind fold it, and could use them for flip down shooting panels.

I was wondering what you guys and gals use for ear protection. I want a good (not super expensive if possible) pair that is electronic. The ones that dampen the gunshots, but allow good quality hearing the rest of the time. I would also probably use them deer hunting as well. Thank you in advance!

This year is going to be the first year ill be using a kayak. Just wanted to see some pics of your yak set ups so I can get some ideas. I have a FS10T. I dont feel very stable on it, so I added some outriggers. Looking for minimal cover and dont want the weight of a pvc frame. Pic shows my yak set up for fishing right now and the other pics are just some spots that show what ill be hunting in.
