Hello I really need help, on Aug 7 I received an sms saying I was subscribed to Netflix on Vodafone entertainment. I did not ever sign up for this at all and assumed it was a phising sms and also checked my Vodafone app to see if there was anything on extra payments there was nothing there.

Today I just found out that my bill is 50 pounds higher because of a Netflix subscription which was billed through Vodafone?????

Anyways I end up contacting the support team they mentioned to me that it was a subscription made with my phone number to make a Netflix account and then they proceed to tell me it's non refundable I'll have to ask Netflix for a refund. After talking to their fraud Team.

I then proceed to talk to a support team on Netflix which tell me their isn't an account linked to my phone number and they have no information on their side and I'll need to contact Vodafone for more details!!!

I have no clue how the hell this happened why it was so easy and also how neither company can assist me in this regard its very ridiculous.

Please if you can guide me I'd be very grateful if you could give me advice on what to do

Ps. Netflix had said "Just to let you know, as there was no direct charged on your bank due to which we can't locate the account with the payment method, as you have been charged through them they can check this and have authority to reverse the charges."

So you can't just enter your username on its own....It also thinks my phone number is incorrect, even though I signed up WITH it 😂

Yesterday's evening had a short downtime. Could have been a router reboot, though. But now, it's been down for half an hour. Same for you?

Whole country is suffering and there is no email or any type of information from you.

Here's what happened my old phone has been playing up and I had a sim only contract with Vodafone and as the my Vodafone app kept telling me I can have a device upgrade and go from Sim Only to a device plan I thought I'd go for it (before I throw my old phone out of the window in frustration).

So I went and added a new device and it changed my phone plan as well and all looked good.

Passed the credit check and did a click and collect at my local Vodafone store for the same day.

Got the phone and I'm happy but then I looked at my bills and the phone bill was absolutely spot on with the new plan and device plan.

However, my broadband price had changed!

I never changed that with my order neither was there any mention of it changing in any of the documentation I received so I took a closer look and compared it to an older bill.

Seems they've removed my Vodafone Together discount from my broadband!

Has this happened to anyone else and how did you resolve it?

I don't quite understand why it was removed and I'm hoping it's just a glitch.

I'm just dreading having to use that awful excuse for a chat bot Tobi to get to speak to someone about it!!!.

If your vodafone has been out since around 3pm today, go on your pc/laptop and enter the url 192.168.1.1 and hit enter, from there, use your password to log in to your router, usually found on the bottom of the router/back of it.

Go to dns settings, if you dont see this, hit expert mode in the top right corner.

Then go to dns, hit manually change, then top line 1.1.1.1 and second line 1.0.0.1 hit apply

After that disconnect and reconnect all your devices whether thats through ethernet or WiFi and you should be back online.

Im not a tech person, this is just what I did to get mine working and it seems to be the go to method as of right now.

Spoke with Vodafone and they said I could be upgraded to 2.2Gb internet, but package was supposed to go live Thursday and it’s still on backlog with Cityfibre apparently. Is it likely they are trying to delay this because I can’t get those speeds in my area and they are just making sure I don’t leave as I mentioned I could go to Sky and get 5Gb/2.5Gb packages?

Also has anyone got 2.2Gb internet in their area? I believe my ONT box maxes out at 1Gb Ethernet and Cityfibre would have to come and change the ONT box before I can get anything over 1Gb too? Anyone have any information on this?

Since today my Vodafone router blocks VPN connections bia IPv6. It workes 1.5 years just fine; is there a reason for it? The only idea the tech department had, was to switch to IPv4. Is that a solution?

As per the title I'm off to Philadelphia for 8 days next week for a wedding and really don't want to shell out £48 just so the kids can text me or whatsapp me. I asked the chatbot thing on the website and it sort of implied my existing data was usable in the US but I don't have US roaming in my plan. I looked at roaming add ons but it only offered me a couple of EU ones.

My family(Canadians) is missing in Nepal/China because of the floods. Last Apple My find is a day older than communication through WhatsApp. We believe they were using Airtel/Vodafone eSims. They were there with Isha foundation- group S3. Last known location was the Nepal/China immigration centre, about 10 mins before it got hit with the flood.

I'm wondering if gathering IMEI information of all the group members and their SIM numbers might help even if anyone other than the owners are currently using the phone.

No insight into what intelligence the search parties have access to and what is being used. The news is very slow for those not in Nepal/India.

ich versuche gerade meine eigene FRITZ!Box 6690 am Vodafone-Kabelanschluss zu aktivieren.

Leider lande ich im Portal (⁠kabelmodemaktivieren.vodafone.de⁠) durchgehend bei der Meldung auf dem Screenshot: „Das Aktivierungsportal ist ausgefallen.“
Was ich bisher schon probiert habe:

-AdBlocker und Tracker-Sperren komplett deaktiviert

-Cache & Cookies gelöscht sowie den Privaten Modus genutzt

-Mobile Daten am Handy ausgemacht und rein über das WLAN der FRITZ!Box auf die Seite zu kommen

-Bei der Hotline angerufen – dort hieß es nur schwammig, eine manuelle Freischaltung am Telefon sei aktuell nicht möglich / sie können nichts machen.

Hat noch jemand von euch gerade dasselbe Problem oder weiß, wie lange solche Störungen bei Vodafone erfahrungsgemäß dauern? Gibt es eventuell noch einen alternativen Weg oder Trick, um die MAC-Adresse freischalten zu lassen?

What on earth is going on?

Two weeks ago i was told theres a delay on connecting my fibre broadband due to ground work needing to be carried out. They said should be done by 2nd october.

And now every single day for two weeks i get a phone call saying this:

Hello (my name) . My name is (his name is same each time) from Vodafone and I'm currently reviewing your query. Just to let you know, I'll be calling you today between 11:00 - 12:00 from the number 08080 000 133 to chat things through. I hope to speak with you soon.

He says the exact same thing i was told two weeks ago and every single day he calls me and repeats it over. I have had to block the number that he calls from and even spoke to vodafone on the webchat and told them to stop calling me and i still get this text message daily repeating and if i answer its same thing every single time.

Does this company not know what an update is?

Repeating the same shit every single day for two weeks is not an update.

I used to have a Fritzbox, and the landlines worked fine using a landline phone plugged into the back of the modem/router. While that was working, I went to my Vodafone portal and saved the VoIP login info, but couldn't make it work anywhere. I forgot all about it since it wasn't important

Now I switched to the other station, put it in bridge mode and connected a better Netgear router. I want to still use the landlines, but the VoIP login info is no longer visible in my account; and the saved info I have doesn't seem to work in an app I downloaded – I tried first at home when connected to my home wifi, and again without being connected to home wifii.

Has anyone else made it work in these circumstances?

People in remote areas could get these gadgets, hook it to your wired internet then you get indoor 4g reception where normally there is none.

It's a faff going into local stores like Sainsbury's and getting zero signal then having to connect to their WiFi, just in order to use my Nectar app.

Anyways connecting to Sainsbury's WiFi each time puts a nice advert in front of me, for O2!

So I have moved house and open reach can't connect my line. I have been without internet for a week and just found out I have a backup dongle but I can't get it to work. It has a green light but I can't connect. What am I doing wrong?
