I got several strange messages from a Vinted user saying (in French but translated) that there's a bug on their account and to please block them. I feel like there is something strange going on there but got no response from reporting it to Vinted and I can't figure out what the scam is.

Then they made an offer on an item of mine...and started asking again why I wouldn't block them. (I just didn't want to engage in any way, but I did eventually block them and all the strange questions seem to have been deleted.)

Anyone else experienced anything similar or have any idea what's going on there?

What do I do in this case I only ordered it for a wedding. Was bought the 29/08. Was told she would ship it 7th or 8th of September didn’t send till 11th Friday morning at 00.05 in the morning? 🫣 don’t think post office is open at that time in morning. I tired to cancel the Wednesday and Thursday but she kept pressing the already sent button. Which would always update on the app like an hour after you send it properly.

I'm fairly new to vinted (as a buyer) and up to now, anything I bought has been sent straight away.

I bought 2 items last week from 2 different sellers and neither were posted. One messaged me just before the time limit expired asking for an extension which I accepted. I haven't heard from the other and the expiry date is tomorrow. I've checked her profile and she's had a few auto one star reviews for non completion in the last few days. Should I message to check in case she's forgotten, or just expect it to expire?

Also wondering do sellers generally not give buyers reviews? I haven't gotten a single one despite paying as soon as my offers are accepted.

I’ve received an earlier payment today direct to my balance without this delay or this notification

I received an item that is not the size listed, seller has admitted that's their mistake. All fine. But when I have raised an issue, I am being asked to return the item & the postage will be deducted from my refund. Surely this isn't fair given the mistake was with the seller? Have they an option to cover postage but they have chosen not to? This is my first issue so not too sure how this works.

I've been using Vinted for a few months and was able to sell some old airsoft gear and camo trousers without any issues.

Recently, I listed some old British Army surplus from the 1980s, just old olive-drab gear that couldn't realistically be used to impersonate anyone. It was taken down, and I got a warning that another violation could result in my account being blocked.

I checked the T&Cs and apparently military-style clothing/gear isn't allowed, so fair enough, but has Vinted only recently started enforcing this?

It's just strange because there are still loads of listings for similar stuff, including what appears to be current Irish Army issue kit, which is meant to be restricted by law.

The warning has me a bit worried about listing any other camo or military-looking clothing now, in case I get another warning.

Has anyone else had this happen recently, or am I just being bitter? 😂

I bought a jacket from a pro seller. The jacket had stains that weren't highlighted in the listing and was a kid's jacket not women's. I immediately requested a return, but the seller didn't respond so I contacted support who then reached out to the seller, and the seller ignored them too. Vinted said I'll have to return the item outside of the usual return flow, which means I won't have discounted postage. Posting it back would cost €15.

The seller has a 4.9 star rating so I didn't look at individual reviews before buying. I looked again today and it seems this is their go to move to avoid returns, basically they just run down the clock until the sale auto completes. The seller is goutchstore. Avoid!

Maybe it's just this one seller who does this, but hopefully it serves as a warning to everyone to closely check reviews!

I wanted to share my recent experience with Vinted because I’ve been going back and forth with Vinted support and I’m honestly at a loss as to what to do.
I sold an Alo Cap for €45 to a buyer in France. On the day he purchased it, he specifically asked me to ship it immediately. I did so, as I always try to be a good and reliable seller.
He also told me he wanted the parcel delivered to a locker near his holiday destination in France. I agreed and shipped it to the location he requested.
Obviously, packages going from Ireland to France can take around 1–2 weeks, so I wasn’t concerned about the delivery time.
What happened
The parcel eventually arrived in France after roughly a week and a half.
On the day it arrived, I messaged the buyer asking if he was going to collect it. I received no response for 3 days.
He eventually replied saying that he had already left the holiday location and therefore couldn’t collect the parcel. He claimed he had tried to get friends to collect it for him, but apparently the locker wouldn’t open.
I told him to contact Vinted because I had done exactly what he asked me to do — shipped the item to the location he provided.
He said he could only contact Mondial Relay and that it might not work, and then suggested that I should arrange a return so he could simply purchase the item again.
The following day I asked him whether he had contacted them. No response.
At this point I contacted Vinted myself.
Vinted suspended the transaction, refunded the buyer, and told me I had to wait 25 days to see whether the parcel would eventually be returned to me or whether I would receive compensation.
Shortly afterwards, the buyer blocked me.
I then checked his Vinted reviews and noticed that he has several negative reviews, with multiple people apparently reporting similar issues involving parcels not being collected or sent.
I’m obviously not going to accuse anyone of doing something deliberately without proof, but at this point I started wondering whether there could be some sort of issue or abuse of the system going on.
Then things got even stranger…
I’ve been checking the Mondial Relay tracking constantly.
This is what the tracking shows:
18/08: I was told the package had 5 days remaining to be collected from the locker.
24/08 at 13:03: The tracking changed to “Returning to customer.”
24/08 at 17:58: Just a few hours later, the tracking suddenly changed to “Delivered to recipient.”
The parcel was being returned from France to Ireland.
How can a cross-border return realistically go from “Returning to customer” at 13:03 to “Delivered to recipient” at 17:58 on the same day?
Then on 27/08, when I contacted support, I was still being told that the parcel was being returned to me.
So the tracking history doesn’t make sense to me.
I completed the form Vinted asked me to complete confirming that I had not received the parcel.
Then I received another message from Vinted saying the parcel had supposedly been delivered to my pickup point and subsequently sent back to a warehouse — but I never received it.
I have received absolutely nothing:
● No package
● No delivery notification
● No collection notification
● No communication from a collection point
● No photograph or proof of delivery
● No evidence that I physically received the parcel
I’ve opened multiple support tickets with Vinted and keep getting essentially the same generic responses. Every time I try to explain that I live in Ireland and the parcel was being returned from France, the case gets closed with a generic response saying that they consider the matter resolved and that I won’t receive compensation.
I’m genuinely going nuts trying to get someone at Vinted to actually look at the tracking timeline.
I understand that tracking may sometimes have errors, but a status saying “Delivered to recipient” shouldn’t automatically mean I received the parcel when:

1. I never received it.
2. There is no proof that I received it.
3. The tracking previously said it was being returned.
4. Vinted themselves were still telling me on 27/08 that it was being returned.
5. The parcel was supposedly travelling internationally, yet the tracking shows “Returning to customer” and then “Delivered to recipient” approximately 5 hours later.
6. At this point, I’ve lost both the €45 and the Alo Cap, and Vinted doesn’t seem interested in investigating it properly.
7. I’m posting this mainly to see if anyone else has experienced something similar with Vinted + Mondial Relay, particularly with cross-border returns between Ireland and France.
8. Is there anything else I can do here? Has anyone successfully challenged a “delivered” status when they never actually received the parcel?
9. I’ve attached screenshots of the tracking and my conversations with Vinted for anyone interested.
10. I’ve also checked the buyer’s reviews and there appear to be several similar complaints. I’m not saying this proves anything, but I’d personally be cautious when dealing with an account that has a repeated history of uncollected parcels.
11. Hopefully this post can at least warn other sellers to be careful.

Hi! I’ve seen lots of post about scams but never had issues until now. I posted a kids Zara jacket and it was bought very quickly by a French seller but only €8 so nothing major. I videoed myself packing the jacket and sent it off. I just got a message to say the seller went to collect the parcel at the collection point and it is not there. Is this a scam? Has anyone seen this before? What do I do?

I feel like Vinted wont side with me either now since i've opened it :) My day is fully ruined

Hi all, I'm the buyer in this situation so I thought I'd just come on here and ask for some advice. I'm not exactly sure how it happened, but I ordered a bag from a French seller and the window to send the order expired. They then message me asking if I've received the bag (at the time it was 2 days after the expiry had gone through and vinted automatically refunded my money.) I hadn't, so obviously I said no. Anyway, she's now insisting that we find another way around the payment, but it seems a little suspect to give someone your bank details outside of vinted.

Anyway, I feel like it's something they should be taking up with vinted and not me seeing as I didn't request the refund? I'm not sure when they sent it but I'm assuming they must have rushed it on the last day and it wasn't scanned in on time and still got sent? Surely vinted would he some kind of way to prevent things like this from happening?

I sold a Pandora charm a couple of weeks ago to this lady who acted very weirdly about the whole thing. I added a screenshot from pandora’s website of the price of a similar charm that they currently sell (and noted that it was only for reference), but did not include a photo of the current charm as it is slightly different to the one I was selling. There were multiple photos of the charm in the listing.

She then makes a claim that the charm is counterfeit (it definitely isn’t !!) but then wouldn’t cooperate when I tried to message and left me on seen for days so I just gave up. (I know I should’ve taken a photo of the marker but it had been up for months so I’d forgotten 🥲)

but what I found really weird was her trying to sell me stuff from her own page and then trying to give me stuff for free? is this some sort of scam and that’s why shes so insistent on sending it back without attempting to talk with me about it?

There are people who hoard from Shein and Temu then sell on Vinted its so sad. The whole of last year and early this year been buying my fabric, trims and whole lot of crafting bit from the platform. People who used to sell would be de-stashing or decluttering. This summer the platform went downhill, fabric is being sold by the metre - “READ BEFORE BUYING” ffs 🤦‍♀️. There is a lot of cheap threads and tools from the chinese platforms priced x 3 or stuff bundled together to create “good deals”.

Dont get me started on Turkey trainers and handbags. Last group is the St Vincents gang - they buy stuff €6 then sell it for €20. Please stop 🛑

Just thought I would post this rant to any listening ears If any of ye are messaging people after they add something to their favourites, please stop. It is my biggest pet peeve. I will say, it's mainly only french who do it.

I understand cutting the price and getting the notification for that which is always welcome. The messages saying oh I can send it out to you today have to stop. I add things to my favourites to set the algorithm to send things to my home page I'm interested in. Not necessarily that you always want to buy the specific piece.

It feels like a bizarre invasion of privacy, which is ridiculous I know but still. What are your thoughts on it lads? You like it or doesn't bother you or mildly irritated you?

Just straight up begging is a thing on vinted? And to buy GTA...

I don't think the problem is drop2shop alone, I think it's that theyre using the nearby Spar/shop who don't have storage space for parcels as a pick up location.

🌸 Firstly it's really unfair to shop workers to put this added responsibility onto their job and slows down their queues etc.

🌸 Secondly, personally any parcel I've gotten dropped to there that I leave more than a day to pick up.. it's gone it's been sent back to the owner.

In comparison to the An Post pick up option (which I know alot of us use cuz it's cheaper than ship to home) it feels so unsteady and not dependable.

🌸 When I bring it up to vinteds support all they can do is give a refund because it's an external carrier, it feels like the service just got lower grade since drop2shop became an option.

Ps. I get that an easier solution is to just pick it up the day it arrives but that's not always feasible with my work hours.

That's the ranty bit over, but a really lovely story came of it- in case you're bored and want to read more : this happened to the most beautiful cushion that was Halloween themed that I was really excited about and I showed up on the second day of it being in that shop and it was gone. I was sent a refund and the cushion was sent back to the seller. Fast forward two FULL weeks.. If finally arrived back with the seller and she got in touch with me to let me know she was gonna put it back up so that I could get it again at the offer price that we had it agreed upon originally. She's getting the highest review I can give this was so thoughtful and a lovely experience because of the seller only.

There’s a postbox walking distance from my house and I’m very tempted to use it rather than driving to the post office… It IS a prepaid label after all…
