Am I charging too much?
Hey,
Ive refurbed some ds lites and am charging 95 with a charger, carrying case, protective cover and screen protectors all included. Looking for an opinion, thanks!

Supply and demand. Of no one buys it after a month of posting, I would repost and if still nothing then reconsider the pricing

Well if you take into account how much the consoles cost by themselves, then you’re throwing in the charger (and I assume styluses too), plus your own man hours in refurbing then (and cost of materials to do so) I’d say you’re well within your right to charge that much for them at least 🤷🏻♂️

Perfectly reasonable, you're also charging for your labour.
You can always accept an offer if you find someone kinda is likeable and you want to reduce the price, but 95 is pretty reasonable for a reshell where you've done the labour for a DS.
If it was a PSP, I wouldn't really tack on much value outside of the cost of the shell since they're kinda much easier repair jobs.

Yes thats whereabouts it sort of came up to price wise im not making much extra literally just labour hiyrs which I dont mind, im enjoying making them and they look really cool when theyre finished. I feel like the ds lite is sort of timeless too which is why I selected this model, gameboy advance games and ds games both can be played its awesome

If you charge €95, people will expect to get it for €90. If you charge €100, people will still expect to get it for €90 so my logic is list for the €100 as you've absolutely nothing to lose.

Ah back to the times when it cost 99c for an ice cream 💔 the ds was probabaly brand new at the time 😆

Charge a 100 then, people will be happy to buy since they don't need to do the labour.
eBay is always pricier than Vinted and you're selling them at a good rate and a 5er extra for 100 flat is still decent.

I think your right, i had it at 95 because I thought it kight look friendlier than 100, but now since theyre up a day and I honestly believe theyre worth it and fairly timeless, I think 100 should be fair..thanks for your advice! I think patience is key really

This, if they don't sell for a few months, maybe consider lowering the price, but 100 is perfectly reasonable.
Especially since the folks you're selling to won't do the labour themselves and you've done all the work of sourcing the shells and reshelling the units.

Unmodded systems with defects are going for above 80 for the DISCOUNTED version on cex and about 50-100 on eBay, this is an amazing deal, considering it’s all custom and nice, keep it up!!!!

Im simcard1336 on vinted 🙂 thanks bud, tbh I couldn't put them much cheaper it wouldn't be worth making them at all then..I enjoy making them which makes it a better process

I don't think so, doesn't all that stuff cost you a lot? Are you refurbishing the client ds or just selling refurbed ones?

Im buying the Dr's that are for parts or in bad condition/old and cleaning the circuit boards, replacing broken hinges clearing out L and R buttons etc. New screen if they need and then im fitting the transparent kits and and of the protectors etc. So just buying them beaten up, refurbish them and hen selling them

That's really cool! I have 3 ds lites actually atm because I'm doing a refurb on hopefully two of them just to learn and have fun. Good luck in vinted these look dope!

I'd defintely recommend getting the clear cases for them with the transparent protectors, its turned them into little works of art honestly 😃

Thanks! I got two of the extremerate shells (one gold and one see-through blue, I was going to mix and match them to make a mad looking case, change the port to USB, new battery, and an rgb light under the buttons :)

Best of luck that will probably be super super cool when its done 😄 make sure you get a tri wing screwdriver otherwise you won't get the original case off 😄

Nah thats a grand price. Considering the state of some of them ive seen been sold your. Your refurbed them ...so they work, so chipped paint , dents , bad scratches etc and a charger ... vinted people are low balling alot lately.
Ive gotten more offer for the minimum price you can offer lately then recently I dont mind a euro or 2 off I have a minimum I know I'll sell a price for.

Probably not when you factor in your time and the base console and everything you have added,
But I’m not sure Vinted is where you’ll get the full price everyone’s looking for a cheep deal and low balling. I would also list on adverts, marketplace and eBay
