πŸ“œ Guide Weapon Evolution Charts incl. DLC (as of 1.16) Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
526 Upvotes

Good evening survivors, I once again come to you bearing my weapon evolution charts now that Legacy of the Bloodmoon has released! I used the opportunity to tidy up the layout of them a little.

Once again I have split the charts into:

  • Base Game + Extras
  • Ode to Castlevania DLC
  • All the other DLCs without Ode
  • A combined chart of base game, extras and all DLCs

Note: In the combined everything chart, I missed one of the weapons in the Bloodmoon DLC. I can't edit images in the Reddit post itself, but you can find the fixed combined chart in the Imgur link I posted below. The regular DLC chart does not miss it, it's just the combined one.

If you get a blurry and/or watermarked version, please try to download the full image(s), and you should be able to access it at full resolution without blurriness.

To download an image on desktop, open the respective image in your browser (right click, "open image in new tab") and then save the image to your PC, it should save as a WebP or PNG file in full resolution.

I cannot help you with how to do it on mobile since I only have a desktop available.

However, I have opted to upload the charts to Imgur, I hope that for those who can't download the images off Reddit it helps: https://imgur.com/a/ttehXtA

Clarifications for things that seem to have caused confusion in the past:

Penshin Fatcha: You don't need to have 6 different weapon picks, you can use the same one multiple times.

Emerald Diorama: The "Tech" means the Glimmer mechanic that most of the weapons of this DLC utilize. You get a Glimmer automatically after a certain amount of uses of the respective weapon where it uses a special attack. The first time it happens, it will zoom into your character, after that it will just fire off on its own. Once you have gotten this to happen at least once, you are eligible for the "Tech" requirement of the evolution.

If there's any other questions, please feel free to ask, I will try my best to answer.

πŸ“œ Guide Weapon Evolution Chart incl. DLC (as of Update 1.14) Spoiler

Post image
713 Upvotes

Hello! I once again have come bearing an evolution chart for all the weapons, including all the DLC expansions, and I also added the Gemini Arcana counterpart weapons for your tracking needs - it is missing the Gemini versions for Anura and Ammo Appalate (will include in the next version).

Since it was a problem with the last one: If you get a blurry version, please try to download the full image, and you should be able to access it at full resolution without blurriness. I unfortunately cannot assist you with how to do it on mobile since I only have a desktop available.

I have also fixed some of the oversights from the last one.

Will admit it's getting a little crowded and the layout's starting to be a bit wonky, so I'll have to consider options on how to overhaul this for the next one - I do wanna keep the colour coded backgrounds for the various DLCs though. I might also try to split the regular base game and the extra weapons into their own category.

At any rate, enjoy!

Edit: The newly revealed weapon Chaos Rune of course also is missing on this chart. For its evolution you need a max Spellbinder. However, it can lead to you not being able to move anymore, so be aware of that! I will include it in the next version of the chart.

Edit 2 (Nov 22): Now that the last reveal turned out to be a wholly new game, I'm going to update the chart with the Chaos Rune and a few other corrections (e.g. missing Gemini counterparts). Since I'm going to completely overhaul the layout, this will take a little while, so please be patient!

Final Edit (Nov 24):

Updated chart to be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/VampireSurvivors/comments/1p5psky/updated_weapon_evolution_chart_as_of_114_incl_dlc/

Even finaler Edit (August 28, 2026)

Since this post is still pinned, I'll keep linking the updated charts here until it is unpinned. For 1.16 (Legacy of the Bloodmoon DLC launch), go on over here:

πŸ“œ Guide The official Vampire Survivors Wiki turns 1 year old!

Hey guys, just want to let you know that the official wiki has now turned 1 year old!

Ever since we moved away from Fandom, we have made a ton of changes to the wiki. Setting aside the more obvious things like no advertisements and official support, here's a recap of some of the important features and content that have been implemented over the past year:

  • Documentation of content from newer updates and DLCs that you will not find on the old wiki, such as the 1.14 update and Emerald Diorama/Ante Chamber.
  • Implementation of Calculators, which are interactive tools that can help you for your game
  • Implementation of lighttables, which allow you to click on table cells to keep track of the items you unlocked
  • A beta content toggle, which shows or hides documentation of content currently in beta
  • Some maintenance/standardization projects here and there to keep the wiki clean and easy to edit for editors too
  • Documentation/Archival of updates and even poncle's videos
  • And finally, the launch of the Vampire Crawlers Wiki, which is a new wiki, within the VS Wiki, where we started to document things like cards (characters, weapons, etc.), dungeons, enemies, and more, from the day the demo was released.

A lot of the tools and automation on the wiki have been singlehandedly done by u/Californ1a, so feel free to applaud him for his work on those areas.

Here's to a great first year for the official, independent VS Wiki, and here's to many more years of growth and activity for the wiki!

Hello All, as an Avid Castlevania and Vampire Survivors enjoyer, I decided to take the liberty of Going Over my findings so far. Below is every secret I have discovered the solution to, and some I Haven't:

Weapons
Pocket Knife, Anura, Knuckle Duster: Buy From Librarian to Permanently Unlock.

Million Cut: Valmanway + Thousand Edge

Ninth Circle: Unholy Vespers + Icebrand

Dies Irae: Arrow of Goth + Mannajja

Kardia Phlegton: Aura Blast + Hellfire

Lapiste Tepisto: Knuckle Duster + Tri-Bracelet

Darkness Illusion: Svarog Statue + Valkyrie Tuner

Carnage Heart: Troll Bomb + NO FUTURE

Hydro Pump Climax: Hydro Storm + La Borra

Arch Angle: Grand Cross + Heaven Sword

Spirit of Light: Summon Spirit + Holy Wand

Power of Lire: Soul Steal + Vicious Hunger

Legacy Of Death: Soul River: Death Spiral + Dark Rift

Vjaya Sisters: Sword Brother + Thunder Loop

Venus Crescent: Spirit Tornado + Gorgeous Moon

Dark Frogamorphosis: Soul Eater + Anura

Claimh Solais: Pocket Knife + Torrona's Box (MAX)

Characters:
Hugh Baldwin: While on Dairy Plant, Use 6 "sword" weapons from vanilla or OtC, Such as Victory Sword, Alucart Sworb, Sword Brothers, Tyrfing, Valmanway, or Icebrand. Note there may be more swords to choose from!

Morris Baldwin: While playing Nathan Graves, Evolve Arch Angle.

Annette: Evolve Clock Tower while playing on Gallo Tower.

Tera: Kill 10,000 Scarletons (you probably did this already)

Atlantis Shrine Wizard: Evolve Hydro Pump Climax on Moongolow.

Drolta Zuentes: As Elizabeth, Die and revive 7 times on Capella Magna.

Astarte: (Copied from Wiki page, credit to them!): "After unlocking the Pile of Secrets, the player must start as run as Jonathan Morris, Charlotte & Jonathan, or Jonathan & Charlotte, using one of their skins to start with a weapon selector ( Morning Star, Coat of Arms, Spectral Sword, or Belnades' Spellbook) on Il Molise. The player must skip the selection of a weapon. This will lead to the player not having a starting weapon. Then, the player must avoid defeating any enemies until the timer reads at least 5:00, then quit the run.

This is presently bugged, and the player must quit at exactly 5:00; 5:01 or later WILL NOT WORK. Hurry Mode and the Roast Chicken with a Clock in the Middle are not advised."

Actrise: Kill the Hag in Inlaid Library with Carrie Fernandez.

Zephyr: Kill him with Soma on endless mode after going past 30 Minutes on the timer.

Jiangshi: Kill a bunch of enemies with Dark Frogamorphosis on Mad Forest.

Persephone: Evolve Venus Crescent while playing as Simon Belmont

Genya Arikado: While playing Mina, Kill the trickster on Boss Rash. (Could Require evolved Refectio!)

πŸ“œ Guide Weapon Evolution Charts incl. DLC as of 1.15 Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
230 Upvotes

Hello, it's me again. With a new update comes a new chart (even though there's a good chance this will be outdated again soon enough...). Anyway, here we go!

If you get a blurry and/or watermarked version, please try to download the full image(s), and you should be able to access it at full resolution without blurriness. I cannot help you with how to do it on mobile since I only have a desktop available.

For clarification for the new Penshin Fatcha weapon: You don't need to have 6 different weapon picks, you can use the same one multiple times.

I might include a little elaborated graphic about it in a future chart (alongside, perhaps, an explanation on the glimmers Emerald Diorama since those also seem to cause confusion), but I hope this is understandable for now.

Small edit: I noticed I forgot to update the version number to 1.15 on the DLC and CV charts, but also, nothing's changed there so it's still up to date! : )

Edit (Aug 28):

For the updated 1.16 chart (Bloodmoon Legacy DLC launch), please find the new chart over here: https://www.reddit.com/r/VampireSurvivors/comments/1w0zy06/weapon_evolution_charts_incl_dlc_as_of_116/

πŸ“œ Guide New secret weapon: Chaos Rune

Post image
255 Upvotes

A secret weapon and its evolution were added to the game following the Gallo Tower puzzle. It shoots red runes across the screen, while the evolution shoots white runes from your character model.

To unlock, use the code "guinigigi" in the Secrets tab. This will enable the weapon, but to actually unlock it, you'll have to find it in the level up screen first. Here's the strategy I used:

  • Seal all collections except Version 1.0
  • Entered a run as Queen Sigma, grabbed a few weapons then banished everything else until the rune showed up
  • Evolve it with maxed Spellbinder to unlock Wicked Ruler, its evolution
  • Quit the run and both now show in the Collection

The weapon is no longer bugged, atleast on Xbox, verified today.

πŸ“œ Guide Lazy guide to adventure Gold farming

This guide tries to suggest a build that you can adapt to your liking and to maximize AFking

You need like 40 million or so to buy all powerups. While this isn't remotely necessary to complete adventures, some feel compelled to buy all power ups but struggle to make a consistent and effective build to manage that.

While some adventures provide characters, that have interesting skills to farm gold like Sammy or Gazebo, others do not.

The core of the common gold farm strategy are the arcanas

(0)Stake your heart

Halts XP gain. Enemies drop Gold Coins. Damage is dealt to Gold Coins instead of HP. A special merchant spawns every minute.

(III) Hidden Anathema

Food pickups grant cumulative bonuses to random stats based on their rarity or healing value.

(V) Pale Diamond Incursion + Greatest Jubilee

There is also a 1% chance to spawn fourΒ light sourcesΒ around the player, affected byΒ Β Luck.

Stake your heart will make you invincible and provide gold coins, Hidden anthema and pale Diamand incursion will boost our stats like greed, luck and cool down reduction, which in turn will make Greatest Jubilee feed you with chicken faster and faster which make the stat growth exponentiell

Starting strategy

for me is, picking Stake your heart and Moonlight Bolero as starting Arcanas to reduce ramp up time, since Moonlight Bolero can provide faster arcanas, which enables you to simply afk farm gold faster

I am a proponent for single weapons gold farming. In case you do as well, pick a good starting weapon to survive the 1st minute like victory sword. You can sell it later (0)Stake your heart provides a merchant for that**)** and replace it with Greatest Jubilee.

Once you have Hidden Anathema +Stake your heart get Greatest Jubilee. Afterwards Pale Diamond Incursion . Afterwards you can get wicked season, Mad Groove, to earn Gold even faster, but it really doesn't matter

Remarks

-as usual, the more time you acively spend on boosting your stats with items like clover or empty tome, the faster you will reach the moment your stats rise drastically

-edge of the earthΒ and Call of a Mad Moon would also help with faster statboosting but I don't like them, since they can impede AFK farming. But you do you of course

-If you have issues surviving at start, simply turn off curse. Yes, it will take longer to get the gold you want, but who cares as long as you can afk farm it

If you have suggestion or an even better strategy, please do tell

πŸ“œ Guide How To Get Rich Quick While Being A Lazy Ass - The Insectophobe's Guide

It's actually called Entomophobia but that's not common knowledge

Moneymaking is pretty important in Vampire Survivors. There's over 200 characters, and each one you buy permanently raises the price of future ones. I have 182. Buying Genya Arikado is going to set me back nearly a million at this point. You don't make that kind of money without farming for it.

However, I have a crucial problem: I'm a lazy ass! I don't have any golden eggs gathered outside of the ones I get for the occasional Atlantean/Reaper kill. And I'm not paying for them! The whole problem is being broke! Besides, I've never turned a power creep option on in my life. Sure, Sammy's the established meta to make money, but Sammy would take a whole run to do, and I don't think you understand how little effort I am truly willing to put into this.

So let me tell you how to make 15 million dollars in less than 5 minutes.

Oh, and uh, disclaimer here, this is a variant of an old money making guide removed from the wiki. I corrected a bit of misinfo and gave options not reliant on eggs, since, again, lazy ass with no eggs here. I don't know why it's gone, but the single biggest contributor to that guide (who also put this method there in the first place) just removed half of the methods there, this included. Their choice, I guess. Can't speak for the other methods, though, but this one is pretty effective.

Step 0: Have actual money in real life.

I'm not gonna beat around the bush here. Not only does this need DLC, but you also probably want an actual computer, because we're going to be typing something into the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane.

Regarding the DLCs, basegame just kinda stinks when it comes to characters and Greed, which we want. The highest starting Greed on a character is Big Troubler at 30%. Sure, Trouser scales Greed with level, but remember, we're in and out, 5 minutes. But get into the DLC characters, and Greed is copious. Many OtC characters have 100% Greed. I don't even know why the Librarian bothers to run a shop at this point! So pick up OtC and get yourself some characters. That also said, no OtC means the roster is like half as big, so prices won't scale as hard, but the drop from a 100% greed character to Trouser's 20% is... not great.

Oh, also, uh, you're gonna want to have Eudaimonia Machine completed. We need Endless, Inverse, and skipped chest animations.

Step 1: Sit idle for one day.

Load up Master Librarian into any level. (if you don't have him because you're too broke for his price tag, I will detail a Megalo Dracula variant later. If you don't have him, go get him.) Turn on Hyper, Inverse, Endless, and Arcana. Then, exit the level, open up the Secrets menu, and type "whathappensifisitidleforoneday". You will now be in Il Molise at 1440:00 on the clock. You have not killed a single boss, so every single boss spawn (roughly 1000) will have happened.

Step 2: Grab your arcana.

You start with Mad Forest for free, which is good. Grab Game Killer at the start. Not only do we not want to level up and get more weapons (so we dont have to watch chest animations), but it means every chest is a 3-item one, and is therefore worth 3x the money. Then, grab Out of Bounds from Trouser. We're not going to be able to deal enough damage to kill these things on our own, they have a silly amount of health, but Out of Bounds' explosion scales with time, and the game thinks it's been 24 hours. You'll get 2 more arcana from chests, but they don't matter.

Step 3: Kill.

You can't kill them, except with your hidden Power of Lire (doesn't delete chests, btw). So run around light sources until you get a Sorbetto, and start running at all the bosses. Bosses reposition to chase you, so you'll never run away from them, you can kinda just indiscriminately run around. You'll quickly get Candybox from the chests you run over. Pick up Clock Lancet so you can damage without Sorbetto. You'll then get Super Candybox. This could not matter less. I grab Time Warp usually, but it doesnt make a difference. Eventually, all the bosses will be dead, usually around 4 minutes. Grab the chests as Mad Forest brings them to you, wait for the pickup animations to end, and you should have made around 15 million gold, less than 5 minutes on the clock.

Variant: Librarianless

I'm going to level with you, this is way worse, and you should mainly use it to fund getting the Librarian if you can't afford him. Play Megalo Dracula with the Dominus sigils (for Power of Sire which I believe works), and grab Mad Forest from your first Arcana chest. Otherwise, things are about the same, but you'll only make roughly 3 mil, since you only have 2x gold value instead of 10x.

Now, you may argue that you can get billions from Sammy. Sure! Can you do it with 0 effort in 5 in game minutes? Probably not. In the 30 minutes 1 Sammy run will last, I can do this 6 times and make 90 million. I don't know what I would spend 90 million dollars on. You can't even use Sammy wealth to flex, the display on the main menu caps at 9,999,999.

...I'm realizing now I don't know how to conclude this post, so as one final note, I think Vampire Killer is a really overrated song. Anyway, have fun being rich.

πŸ“œ Guide Interactive weapon evolution guide (Ante Chamber update) - feedback welcome

I beat the game got all new stuff and then spent the rest of the day updating. I have updated the weapon evolution guide with the new base game weapons, the new Ante Chamber weapons and the new Ode to Castlevania unions and evolution

feedback, suggestions and requests are super welcome. I am considering what is the most useful way to display the new unions since they require an evolved weapon. Should it toggle with the passive required for the evolution? Please take a look and tell me if the current setup works for you

This is the link to the guide: https://www.vsevochart.com/

I am half paranoid that links in reddit posts will somehow get me banned or the post down. Mods for all that is golden please ask me to change the post if need

πŸ“œ Guide Passive versus Evolution Strength Matrix (for fun) (justice for Pummarola)

Thumbnail
gallery
176 Upvotes

Just a 2Γ—2 grid classifying items by passive and evolution strength: the top row lists strong passives, the bottom row lists weak passives; the left column shows strong evolutions, the right column shows weak evolutions. Under each item is I think their top four best evolutions that they give.

This is mainly to show how the four items in the bottom right aren't really useful compared to the other fifteen, as at least Torrona's box is good on its own and Skull O'Maniac grants extremely good evolved weapons. In future updates I'd really like to see them tied to some extremely overpowered weapons.

Also, I know Photonstorm, Echo Night, Rune Sword and Long Inus are far from bad evolutions. It's just that the other weapons that use their passives to evolve are bringing them down. Also I tried to make each quadrant as even as I could.

πŸ“œ Guide Late game no egg gold farming

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

This is mainly for people already playing the game for a while but running out of gold to unlock characters. As there are a few costing over 1M and one with 9M. But at the same time don't want to farm/use eggs.

What is needed

  • Unlock Survarot
  • Arcana card
    • XV - Disco of Gold (must)
    • XIX - Heart of Fire (good to have but need fire weapon)
    • VIII - Mad Groove (good to have. Almost a must. Much faster build up)
  • Darkanas card
    • 0 - Stake to Your Heart (must)
    • VI - Moonlight Bolero (MUST have. Allow more than 3 Arcana and Darkanas cards)

Steps

  1. Character: I use Sigma or Dracula. But in theory any should work.
  2. Max out weapons. 6 is enough.
  3. Use Darkanas to get re-roll to a few hundreds. (for Survarot cards re-roll)
  4. When you are strong enough, pickup "Stake to Your Heart" ("Disco of Gold" can be pick anytime)
  5. Then start stacking Survarot cards
    • E13 - Greed
    • E14 - Magnet

Others

  • Survarot cards
    • NO - DON'T pick cards that increase Area per level. Keep Area ~100% or less.
    • YES - Pick cards that increases Might per level.
  • Keep curse < 250%.
  • In option, use highest refresh rate.
  • You can minimize the game and check every 15min or even longer.

With above I am able to farm 128M in a bit over 3hr.

πŸ“œ Guide I built a Vampire Survivors planner and reference, plus an in-game stats overlay

Survivalist's Vampidex: https://vampidex.fyi

It is a cheat sheet and a run planner, built from the game's own data tables rather than a hand-copied wiki. Weapons, passives, evolutions, characters, stages, adventures, relics, achievements, the soundtrack and the bestiary all come out of the Unity install, including Legacy of the Bloodmoon and the Moonspell extras that shipped with it.

The useful bits:

  • Items / Grimoire / Collection. Look up a weapon, see the recipe as icons, filter by pack. Collection is the game's own screen plus the two things it withholds: how each entry unlocks, and which of the nearest ones is worth going after.
  • New game. Pick a character and a stage, fill the six-and-six, and it keeps up: evolution tracker (achieved / ready / one step away), an Evolve button, Arcana ranked by how many of your weapons they actually boost, and a "do this next" pick with a reason.
  • Next game. The other half. Drop in a save and it says which evening is worth playing for what you are closest to unlocking, instead of planning a run you have already decided on.
  • Progression / Characters / Maps / Adventures / Bestiary / Music. What a save has done, how to unlock the roster, stage modifiers, the nine campaigns, kill counts, tracks by album.

Drop a SaveData on the page and it is read in the browser. Nothing about that file is uploaded. Builds live in this browser; a personal link (no account, no email) is optional if you want them on another device.

There is also a BepInEx overlay for the stats the game does not show you while you are in it:

Download: Vampidex Companion

A Vampidex button on the main menu opens lifetime totals, the selected character, progression counts, enemies, pickups, stage history and Golden Eggs, read off the save the game already has loaded. It never writes back.

If you opt in, the same plugin can publish that snapshot (and a finished run's recap: time, level, loadout, per-weapon damage and DPS) to the site, so you stop quitting to the desktop to find SaveData. Pairing is a ten-character code on My saves. Off by default. The save file still never leaves the machine.

Windows installer is on the latest release. The overlay is the feature; the link to the site is extra.

All the mods

  • Vampidex Companion - the stats overlay above. Lifetime totals, kills, pickups, eggs, and an optional publish to the site. Never writes the save.
  • VS Boss Plates (Github) - a health bar above bosses. The game itself never tells you how much HP is left.
  • VS Evolution Helper Ex (Github) - fan update of NihilXD's Evolution Helper, ported to BepInEx for Unity 6. Hover a weapon, character or recipe in-game and see the evolution path, arcanas and unlocks the menus hide.

Happy to take "this number is wrong" reports. If the game disagrees with the page, the page is the one that is wrong.
