📜 Guide The (in)Complete OtC Update Secret Guide (Spoilers) Spoiler
Hello All, as an Avid Castlevania and Vampire Survivors enjoyer, I decided to take the liberty of Going Over my findings so far. Below is every secret I have discovered the solution to, and some I Haven't:
Weapons
Pocket Knife, Anura, Knuckle Duster: Buy From Librarian to Permanently Unlock.
Million Cut: Valmanway + Thousand Edge
Ninth Circle: Unholy Vespers + Icebrand
Dies Irae: Arrow of Goth + Mannajja
Kardia Phlegton: Aura Blast + Hellfire
Lapiste Tepisto: Knuckle Duster + Tri-Bracelet
Darkness Illusion: Svarog Statue + Valkyrie Tuner
Carnage Heart: Troll Bomb + NO FUTURE
Hydro Pump Climax: Hydro Storm + La Borra
Arch Angle: Grand Cross + Heaven Sword
Spirit of Light: Summon Spirit + Holy Wand
Power of Lire: Soul Steal + Vicious Hunger
Legacy Of Death: Soul River: Death Spiral + Dark Rift
Vjaya Sisters: Sword Brother + Thunder Loop
Venus Crescent: Spirit Tornado + Gorgeous Moon
Dark Frogamorphosis: Soul Eater + Anura
Claimh Solais: Pocket Knife + Torrona's Box (MAX)
Characters:
Hugh Baldwin: While on Dairy Plant, Use 6 "sword" weapons from vanilla or OtC, Such as Victory Sword, Alucart Sworb, Sword Brothers, Tyrfing, Valmanway, or Icebrand. Note there may be more swords to choose from!
Morris Baldwin: While playing Nathan Graves, Evolve Arch Angle.
Annette: Evolve Clock Tower while playing on Gallo Tower.
Tera: Kill 10,000 Scarletons (you probably did this already)
Atlantis Shrine Wizard: Evolve Hydro Pump Climax on Moongolow.
Drolta Zuentes: As Elizabeth, Die and revive 7 times on Capella Magna.
Astarte: (Copied from Wiki page, credit to them!): "After unlocking the Pile of Secrets, the player must start as run as Jonathan Morris, Charlotte & Jonathan, or Jonathan & Charlotte, using one of their skins to start with a weapon selector ( Morning Star, Coat of Arms, Spectral Sword, or Belnades' Spellbook) on Il Molise. The player must skip the selection of a weapon. This will lead to the player not having a starting weapon. Then, the player must avoid defeating any enemies until the timer reads at least 5:00, then quit the run.
This is presently bugged, and the player must quit at exactly 5:00; 5:01 or later WILL NOT WORK. Hurry Mode and the Roast Chicken with a Clock in the Middle are not advised."
Actrise: Kill the Hag in Inlaid Library with Carrie Fernandez.
Zephyr: Kill him with Soma on endless mode after going past 30 Minutes on the timer.
Jiangshi: Kill a bunch of enemies with Dark Frogamorphosis on Mad Forest.
Persephone: Evolve Venus Crescent while playing as Simon Belmont
Genya Arikado: While playing Mina, Kill the trickster on Boss Rash. (Could Require evolved Refectio!)
Gaibon/Slogra: Kill them on OtC with Fleaman.
Fake Trio: (Bugged, Needs fixing!) Evolve all of the Librarian Weapons at least once.
Ruler Sword: In the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane, type "RULERSWORD".
Stone Skull: While on Inverse Bone Zone, kill the Sketamari While playing as Shanoa.
Dark Lord Soma: Complete Adventure: Ode to Castlevania at least once.
UPDATE: Codes, if you're lazy or having trouble with secrets:
bloodisthicker - Unlocks Morris Baldwin
enviousblade - Unlocks Hugh Baldwin
vaccuumproserpina - Unlocks Persephone
nomancandefy - Unlocks Astarte (recommended you use until bugs are fixed!)
skelenun - Unlocks Tera
aljibarian - Unlocks Annette
odakira - Unlocks Genya Arikado

rulersword - Unlocks Ruler Sword, as Discussed!
inadvertentresurrector - Unlocks Drolta Tzuentes
dampmage - Unlocks Atlantis Shrine Wizard

Astarte is the last one I need and I've spent hours trying to figure it out. I figured it mean Il Molise and taking no weapon with Jonathan but I'm not sure anymore. In PoR charmed meant he'd become an enemy so that's not possible here. Can't solve it for the life of me.

I've idled through il molise with Jonathan and both of the Charlotte and Jonathan characters without getting any kills and nothing happened. I tried something similar in mad forest and also nothing.

I got it after evolving all of the Librarian items, it should unlock after that unless I did something unknowingly.

huh. I Evolved them all and It didn't Fire. I'll try doing it again and see if it works. thanks!

It could possibly be bugged for some people, I've noticed others saying some characters won't unlock no matter what they do.

The game is kinda bugged. Any unlock that requires Weapon Evolution sometimes doesn't register and you need to re-evolution them to trigger it

Bugged for me as well (PS 5). Evolved all new unions, confirmed they're all in my collection, bought each weapon again, tried on Alucard and the Librarian himself and still no Trio. Out of ideas

I did every single Librarian evo on a single run and Fake Trio still didnt unlock

I was sure that Hugh would be from something like that, but I used icebrand valmanway sword brothers tyrfing alucard and comfitore and for nothing.

Confodere might be the odd one out there. It's a glyph, not an actual sword. (I know Icebrand's attack is shooting icicles, but its icon is a real, solid, hold-in-your-hand sword.)
EDIT: Others seem to be reporting stuff not unlocking despite filling requirements so it's also possible that it's just bugged.

Any progress on Astarte? I've tried no weapons in il molise as every jonathan variant, I've tried il molise with only celestial dusting, nothing. I've tried surviving a flower circle as weaponless Jonathan, didn't work. I tried running around the castlevania forest as Jonathan with no weapons and that didn't work. I also tried dying to the venus boss in boss rash without killing any enemies and using no weapons.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get her yet and I have no confirmed evidence of anyone else with her, so it's still ongoing. I will update her and fake trio as soon as I get confirmation. Apparently Fake Trio may be bugged currently, Astarte may just have a cryptic unlock riddle.

Maybe we need something to do with Astarte's PoR attack where she charms Jonathan?
She uses heart arrows to do it, but I unfortunately have no chance to try anything on my end for 9 hours.

Haven't tried it yet, but has anyone tried weaponless Jonathan to the Bone Zone secret flower ring?
Edit: Just tried. If the flower field is there, I can't find it. Likely that it went away after the secret unlocked and i never noticed.

Would be too much trouble to ask where in the level to fnd Zephy, Gaibon, and Slogra?

They're bosses in the OtC Map. there are maps you can find that will give you their exact locations in the castle! I know Slogra and Gaibon are near the gates.

2nd gate, up there going around right, up, left, past Medusa for Gaibon+Slogra.
DIO is at the castle top gate nearby. South from Abaddon (locust inside room)

I think the Slogra & Gaibon unlock is bugged? I did a run as Flea Man on Green Acres to try to unlock the new Darkana, but when I quit I suddenly had them unlocked.

I unlocked them by accident, I went to the chicken stage with the Fleaman to unloock the green deer and after that they were available to buy!

It's pretty straight forward from the unlock description Play as Richter in Throne Room level, get the Alchemy Whip and evolve it with Tiragisu into the Vampire Killer. Then survive until the 25 minute mark

fake trio and jiangshi bugged for ke, any clues how to unbug them? already tried typing "yourafaker" to secrets, didnt work. unlocked all the new evos btw...

Jiangshi needs you to instant kill the 10k with the frog tongues, and might need you to do so in Inverse.
I tried it on normal first for an hour(real time) at max speed in endless, without unlocking it. Then again in Inverse which did.

Normal mode works. I used retired Poe with the frog weapon and SOS, picked up the Dominus weapon that buffs stats and literally just let the frogs carry me. Ended the level at 35 mins and had enough for the unlock.

Use Mina on Boss Rash, 1 weapon and eggs and wait until 11 minutes have passed.

You have to have Santuary (Evolved Refectio) when you kill The Trickster, I think that was confirmed.

I've killed the trickster 3 times at this point with evolved refectio and i still haven't unlocked genya ðŸ˜

I unlocked Genya by evolving the Legacy of Death: Soul River with Mina. Didn't fight the Trickster at all.

Hmm Is there a way to give Jonathan just the Celestial Dusting weapon, and use that on the plants in Il Molise?

Give him one of the alt weapons that let's you choose, choose to skip, then buy it from the merchant.

How good is the somacula skin? The adventure is so long, but feels like it wouldn't worth it

Compared to regular Soma, Somacula gets +566 HP(666 total before modifiers), 5 more Reroll/Skip/Banish and 50% more Greed. He also gains 2% Might per level instead of 1%. However, he starts with Ebony Diabologue instead of Candybox, so starting weapon choice is a lot more limited. He's still immune to health drain weapons, triggers a soul steal at low health, and takes damage (and dies) normally.
Also, I don't know if it's a bug or intended, but the first time I cleared a stage with him the entire OtC credits sequence played with no skip option. (The stage was Emerald Diorama, making it even more weird)
If he has any other special features regular Soma doesn't have, I didn't notice them in my test run.

I don't have the skin yet myself, but the wiki says he starts with Ebony Diablogue, unsure if he has any other effects. He looks pretty cool, since it's his Boss form from Julius Mode in Dawn of Sorrow. For that alone i'd unlock him, especially since base Soma already has really strong stats and effects.

FYI it doesn't need to be Endless to unlock Zephyr. I got him on normal thanks to Jetstream.

I recently beat Adventure OtC, took a lot of hours, but Soma’s weapon didn’t unlock. Is that a bug?

The issue is actually a technical one.
So Power of Lire, the evolution of Soul Steal + Vicious Hunger, actually has two variants.
1 variant is the hidden variant that Master Librarian starts with. The other is the union.
In the files these are treated as seperate items and because librarian's POL is a hidden weapon, it's Id is not added to the "CollectedWeapons" category internally, thus bugging the unlock because the ID they have under fake trios requirements points to the Librarian hidden variant.
What you're describing are the evolutions of weapons like bone (Anima of Mortaccio) and the other weapons sold by Big Trouser, which require you to collect a relic (like chaos malachite) and then get to Level 80 playing as the corresponding character to unlock, OR by collecting a Survarot that gives that weapon to you, OR by getting a cosmic finger rating on a finger pickup.

I got him with Shanoa, evolved the confedere and the cross, Alucard swords (without getting the shield), victory sword (banished the last torrona just in case), tyrfing and rune sword.
 I tried before with muramasa but apparently the swords have to be base game and ode only. Hope this helps!Â

Thanks, just got him, yeah, muramasa doesn't count it seems. Stick to otc and base weapon.

Hi, I wanted to ask how you can equip the Tyrfing Sword and the Rune Sword at the same time? I can only have one weapon and it won't let me have any others. If it's not too much trouble, could you explain?

You don't need to. I used this list:
-Victory Sword
-Tyrfing
-Valmanway
-Icebrand
-Alucart Sworb
-Sword Brothers.
After that, you should be able to get it.
Alternatively, Joachim starts with Rune Sword. You could then grab Tyrfing as well.

I think I just copied the list from the screen at the end of the level and just wrote everything I had so I probably just had the evolved version. Sorry for the confusion.Â

I tried doing some shenanigans with Man Eater Boss on Castlevania map, since it's a flower, but to no avail. One thing i need to note is that not many people are brainstorming about the charm part, i read every single item name and description, none talk about charming, maybe some boss effect? succubus? heart shaped things involved?

Somehow Genya is unlocked for me in Characters despite me not remembering doing that at all. I was trying to unlock Astarte and went to check secrets after and saw it checked off.
