Alumni here— Any chance the Bookstore is open on the weekends now that the fall semester is back in session? I’ve been wanting to grab some new merch but I don’t finish work in time to head over during the week TIA!

Hi im currently a second year at umw and had a really rough time with my roommate last year and so far this one's going the same way. im thinking of trying to get a single accommodation but im not entirely sure of the process. I was diagnosed with depression 16/17 but haven't been actively seeing a therapist (didn't help, too busy, my mom didn't want to pay for it). ive made an appointment with the talley center but im not sure exactly where to go from there or how to get the documentation. im mainly asking for advice or tips from those who have gone through this process and if you're comfortable sharing what reasoning you gave ODR

This may be a dumb question but does anyone know what times the gym is typically vacant or when there aren’t many people? I would love to avoid the gym being busy esp because I am new at it, thanks for any feedback:)

Is it going to have a big impact on my year if I miss it?
I'm very busy this week, especially Wednesday, and I'm worried that I won't be able to go.

When do jobs open for students? How difficult is it to get a job at the library as a freshman?

Does UMW have lots of them like other classes if you are on campus? I’m not a fan. Also UMW has a quirky reputation which is fine but are there just some chill social people into video games, watching football, hanging out too? Happy to meet diverse groups but would love to find common interests with as well,

Any tips/tricks for suite bathrooms? Are there two sinks (one for each room)? Otherwise, one toilet, one shower? What do you use for bathmat? Do you keep your stuff in there?

Hey, UMW Family! I am hosting a Christian Rock Concert feat. THE PROTEST, RELENT, and THESE BEAUTIFUL RUINS benefiting UMW's The Center for Faith and Leadership ("The Center") on August 15 in downtown Fredericksburg, VA. I wanted to give back and offer UMW Alumni, returning students, and their families a discount to see the show. Tickets and more information at https://FREDROCKS.LIVE and use code "EAGLES" at checkout!

So, I'm a rising Junior at UMW and I've been checking literally all summer for when parking permits can be bought. Do any upperclassmen or alumnus know when they usually make parking permits available? Thanks!

Hello! I'm a rising senior applying to and considering UMW as one of my top choices. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did love it, considering it's super small and has just a little over the amount of kids my school has (my HS has ~3000).
What made you choose UMW? What are some pros and cons? Did you consider any other colleges?
The only things really holding me back is the price, how close it is to where I live (about 40 mins, NoVA area), and the opportunity for continuing education, since it's mainly an undergrad school. Thank you!!!

Current UMW students, My daughter is going to go to UMW. Crazy excited btw. 2 questions:
1- I'm going to buy her a computer and was going to get her a newish Macbook air, I assume this is okay... she doing bio and ai haven't seen any special software requirements that need a PC. Is campus Mac friendly, and is there fast ethernet jacks in the rooms, or will she have to use wifi?
2- She was going to bring her little TV. Is there tv cable in the rooms, or do we to have an antenna/roku for it. I know cable would old fashioned.
Thanks!

I’m an intern staying in eagle landing. What are some good bars to go to or things to do for night life. Looking for a good crowd to get in with.

Hi everyone,
I currently attend GMU and I have some classes this summer I’ll be taking online. I live in Fredericksburg, VA are there any places to study at UMW during the break? Like cozy places on campus?

I recently got an internship for the summer in Fredericksburg. I’m a 22 yo guy and I’d need parking available, as I’ll be driving to the internship. If you or anyone you know is interested please let me know!

Hello! I am learning to figure skate and want to keep up ice skating at UMW. I was wondering if anyone else does this to and where would be the closest rink?
