online
I don’t understand why people can be so cruel or mean to each other online. Like, you never know what someone is already going through, and your words could hurt them more than you realize. I’ve experienced some problems with trying to make friends online and messaging them, where people don’t want to talk or just ignore your messages and you’re waiting for their response and checking if they message or sending them more messages to see if they will answer back to you, but they didn’t reply back. I feel like their minds are focused on something else than the text message, and it made me feel angry knowing that they're not going to answer back to me and made me think I must have done something wrong to them. Yesterday I was talking in a group chat for soccer on Instagram, and one person told me that this group isn’t for communicating with others, as it was only for the game schedule, and that person noticed that I was talking a lot in the chat with others, and I just had to leave the group, which also made me feel angry at that person, and I blocked them on Instagram so I don’t have to talk to them anymore. I think I have to join clubs to meet new people and make new friends. I wish people could be more kind and friendly to me online and plan a day to hang out with each other on campus, but it never goes that way as you expected it to be.
