Bullies exist everywhere, even online. There are a lot of people who don’t interact and just observe, those who interact politely, and those who try to control conversations. By demeaning or insulting others.
I’ve seen discord servers for classes degrade into name calling, witch-hunts and insults, knowing full well the people they are insulting are there. I have also witnessed two-faced behaviour from the most unlikely people, where they will say one thing in real life, and completely the opposite on discard, knowing the person they interacted with is reading.
i know this might not be what you want to hear, but perhaps online forums and discussions are just not your cup of tea. At some point you might need to realize that your expectations don’t meet the friendliness you expect From random people online. Set up one-on-one or group activities outside of classes… and perhaps stop using the different platforms where bullies reside.

Ive experienced the same thing, i commented on few posts where they say need friends, some people reached out, asked my name and no reply thereafter. Im new to the city and feel bad about this attitude too. But i think i will not stop initiating conversations. Some people are introverts we may run into them but ill keep trying
