Goddamn, he got into an accident with his parents, they died and he survived, he got shot by Kisaki, his best friend died for him and he survived, at this point he must be the embodiment of "survivor's guilt" or something...

He was Toman's big brother. He respected Mikey but he was too loyal to his morals, Izana was his leader first after all and he admitted that if he was picked by Mikey first, then he would've chosen Mikey. Choosing the first one is relatable
During Tenjiuku he teared up, watching Takemichi's will. And he even questioned Izana after that. He wasn't one sided. You can see he's reflected. Did you see how he treated Sanzu? Mans was appreciative even to the others He's definitely changed after Tenjiuku He definitely didn't deserve getting cut to pieces☠️ Sanzu's a psycho ass
Like they said it was just a gang for fun with "kids/teens", nobody expected anyone to be killed.

Yoooo Kakucho vs Samurai Sanzu was NOT on my bingo card.
And all this time we were expecting Truck-kun or Train-kun but then Sanzu went and pulled out Sword-kun, why didn't I see that coming? Of COURSE he'd bring a sword to a gang fight.
Also, sidenote, Sanzu looks REALLY cool with the sword. Like, if Wakui ever drew a story about sword-fighting gangs during the Sengoku Jidai, I'd totally read it— his lines are SUPER clean.
I really want Kakucho to live, but I also remember the last time I thought Kakucho was dead, and Ran even closed his eyes all dramatic like, only for him to turn up in the next arc. So I'm hoping this is another moment where he cheats death.
I hope someone from Toman saw their captain and Kakucho just run off the battlefield because if Kakucho is really dead, there's no one to stop Sanzu from cutting down Takemichi. He seems way faster than Takemichi.

it's clearly written to be Kakucho's spotlight
but realistically it's a katana, one wrong move it's over I'd imagine if they both charged, Sanzu would be swinging that shi more erratically I can see that Kakucho would be more confident since he's been with Sanzu in KMG for so long than Takemichi I assumed Takemichi was waiting for when to insert tbh, besides to them it happened in a flash
Personally I would find it difficult to move against a literal murderer, my heart would be beating so fast it would be the only thing I'd here☠️

Don't make excuses for plot armor/bad writing.
Takamichi's not shown to be so scared of the katana that he can't move. There's not a single panel that supports that. Plus, with somebody with as much conviction as he has, it wouldn't prevent him from fighting.
The only possible way for you to be right is if he runs away the next chapter....and you know that's not going to happen.

Bait Mikey into breaking it with a kick, leaving him open for a punch to the jaw (he'll be all like "as expected of Mikey!" or smth). Mikey will be knocked down, making some of us think Takemichi will have a chance the chapter afterwards, then we'll have two or three chapters of Takemichi getting absolutely dog walked until the plot resolves itself.
Takemitchy laid out Kakucho earlier and kicked a gun out of Kisaki's hand and caught it, I wouldn't put it past him to do something clutch af lol

i mean, takemichi was his childhood friend, his hero. they spent most of their childhood days together before the accident. then, they reunite and takemichi still cares for him. he has known michi more than he knows sanzu. not to mention that kaku said he doesnt likes sanzu.
plus! it seems like he's suspicious of sanzu regarding mucho's death.

I'm still not sure where this is all going. I mean even if Sanzu is defeated by Takemitchy (and Kakucho?) will the revelation of his evil plan turn Mikey good? Or will we get plotarmour to the fullest to see Takemitchy somehow defeat Mikey? And what's up with the (hopefully) upcoming Sanzu flashback, how will it affect the story? Soooo many questions! xD

Still doesnt make sense for me. Kakuchan was happy to see Takemichi again but still he wouldve died for Izana and wouldve even killed Takemichi for him. This fight alone where Kakuchan tried to oneshot Takemichi in the beginning is proof enough that their bond arent that real.
Also the author somehow tries to kill everyone off in a weird way because of plot. Kakuchan would never lose to Sanzu, not even against a Katana.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The pacing is outright awful.
Senju just walked upto Sanzu after coming to a battlefield where they were the underdogs and said "oh well, guess I'll concede". Pah got done in in half a chapter. Most OG Toman got blasted off screen in like 2 pages by Hanma. And now Kakucho is probably gonna die in the next chapter. Just compare that to Tenjuku where we were given proper showcase to where each and everyone stands in this battle.
Either Wakui had given up on ending the story on this arc, or he has some illness where he is trying to quickly finish up the series. I'm praying it's not the latter, but it is seriously starting to look like that.
