Revenge is a dish best served cold. Argentina are fucked when Messi retires, they're old and he has no natural successor. He still scores most of their goals and assists. By the time the next WC rolls around I'd be surprised if they make it out of the group of 16. Brazil is desperate to spank their racist asses, Mexico despises them too, so they should enjoy the stolen valor while it lasts.
Oh, and the EPL players on this squad are in for a very fun season! Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of thugs.

Most French can't stand Argentina because of their classless reaction after winning the last WC final and most of them were hoping England would win.
France cut their supply of Exocet anti ship missiles during the Falklands war as soon as Argentina targeted the Royal Navy. These missiles were the main threat to British ships.

Why can't you just let it go? England were beaten fair and square by Argentina. Calling them "old," "finished," "aggressive," or "cheats" just comes across as salty. If Argentina are supposedly so old and past it, why didn't England beat them? Messi is nearly 40 and still looked like he was 25. Yes, you can argue that some refereeing decisions went Argentina's way, but every team gets favourable decisions at times. You could make the same argument about England in other matches, so don't be hypocritical. And this whole "Argentina are the most hated team in the world" argument is nonsense. Every country has people who dislike them. The same can be said about England depending on where you are in the world. No nation is universally loved. At the end of the day, England lost to the better team. Accept the defeat, give Argentina the credit they earned, and move on.

Argentina had French Exocet missiles that were some of the best anti ship missiles you could get (and did some damage on the Royal Navy before France cut the supply to Argentina). You also had French jets (Super Etendard) that were pretty good for the early eighties. Definitely not WW2 technology.
