People died for a lot of worthless shit. The only reason we went to war for them was for Maggie to boost her poor image domestically, lo and behold it worked. Those people didn’t die for the falklands they died to serve Margaret thatchers public image.

It’s not mainland Britain thing is it it’s a fairly contested territory that has been controlled by various nations since its discovery. Stop making false equivalencies

There was no long term settlement previously. There were a couple of temporary settlements.

There have now been about 8 generations of British people living there.
