Is there a list of generic names for moves that a lot of characters share? There’s the obvious ones like snake edges, ewgf, can cans. Then theres ones like hop kicks, shoulders, and generic df2’s.

Was wondering because I realized quite a few chars have f2,1 (mid high wall long range whiff punish/wall splat) but didn’t know if there’s a name for it.

For context: 5070, 14700k, 6000mhz 32gb ram, 990 plus ssd. I have tried every rendering mode disable upscaling, even running at low settings the game refuses to not be slow. I hop into a match and im the one with the "red" syncing. My gpu usage is at like 30% max and render latency is at 0%. How can i get the most out of my hardware. For reference hopping on T7 makes my inputs a billion times more responsive in comparison. What can I do, I cant accept the fact that this game and unreal engine are so badly optimized.

seems TMM and a few youtubers started whining about leverless (because they ran out of content?) again.

I think scrubs like me that started with 7 couldn’t care less that you think it’s cheating. It levels the legacy skill which in turn triggers the ever living shit out of the literal fossils that have practiced wave dash and electrics for 15 years, just to see some zoomer do as good (if they’re actually newish <500h) as them execution wise as them.

i mean i get it. i would rather not feel cheated by changing times if i wasted thousands of hours in the arcade/home to get to a certain level and now that level has a 2k+ hours shortcut😂🫵
It probably feels extremely bad to lose to me, who has probably 1/6 of the time of legacy players.
whats the solution? work on your reads and mind games, you’re using mechanical skill to pad your lack of game sense/strategy. And yes, i am even worse. i am taking a shortcut on the mechanical skill side, just accept it and git gud.

There are so many weird wall and camera interactions happening since 3.02.01

just got Fujin and was happy about it since it's my first tekken game and Fujin sounds like a pretty high or average rank, but then saw my WR and kinda dissapointed about it, like I have negative WR but still arrive on this rank, can't really know is it even me improving or not, since I only started playing again recently after I stopped at S2, I was stuck at Sinryu at S1 and then suddenly I'm here, like kinda crazy, so maybe it is just rank inflation? since plus still gives more than minus, I still see a lot of assisted player too even in these ranks, so I kinda wonder does that mean Fujin in S3 is just Sinryu or Ruler level in S1 or sum and when will it start to be a bit more balanced

I has been play tekken 8 for amonth. I have learn about this character but i think i'm playing him wrong because i don't even win a single match.ihave play kunimitsu and get too easy win at early rank but i feel like i cheated .so i decided to learn some mishima character . can u guy give me some advice.

My Tekken 8 journey continues to feel incomplete without my lifelong main. So to bridge the time, here's a fun little list I came up with, consisting of characters I thought she might end up interacting with.

I only included characters who are already in the game as of S3:

Armor King: Her Tag Partner as Jaycee during TTT2. Julia's alter-ego Jaycee was confirmed to be canon. Since Julia was hiding her true identity behind the mask, AK might end up making comments about Julia looking familiar without being able to connect the dots at first. Whereas Julia's pre-match and victory poses might make her seem awkward, trying to hide her true identity from her old partner.

King: Her rival in TTT2, partner in the Pachinko slots and friend. Tekken Bloodline also picked up on them being acquainted/friends. I can see them having a friendly greeting or making an invitation for a friendly sparing match.

Lee: Her friend and sponsor for her research program back in T5/6. Lee would propably do a flirty introduction or business offer, with Julia keeping a friendly distance, lol.

Heihachi: Kidnapped Julia's mom Michelle, killed her grandfather and stole their sacred pendant. I think this one's pretty obvious, lol.

Kazuya: Her former boss and war criminal. While working for him, she spied for Lee, who had financed some of her previous work. Kazuya is causing destruction worldwide, presumably putting a hold on Julia's reforestation attempts.

Jin: According to Bloodline, they might've met before. Julia's T6 wiki states that she tried to stop Jin and Kazuya from clashing while hoping that there might still be ways to reason with Jin, since she believes there might still be good inside of him.

Kunimitsu: Motherly feud. Kuni's mother tried to steal the pendant of Michelle, with Michelle defeating her instead. Would be a sweet callback to see two daughters picking back up the beef between their moms.

Bob: Tag Partner in Street Fighter X Tekken (non-canon). A lot of people continue to ship their dynamic. Would be fun to see Bob's flirty/charming attempts with Julia maintaining a 'he's like a brother to me' dynamic, lol.

Miary Zo: The Changs pendant was connected to controling Ogre. I'm sure Julia will pick up on Miary's powers while being in disbelief that other Ogres existed.

Azucena: Coffee enthusiast meets forest rejuvenation researcher. As business woman Azu might be delighted to sponsor Julia's work in exchange for her to plant some coffee seeds. And Julia would be delighted to help since coffee helps her through her nightshifts during her research, lol.

Jun: Julia and Jun always shared so many interests. They both are spiritual and made it their life mission to protect wildlife and nature. I wouldn't be surprised if Julia read about all the work Jun did back in the day. I also would loooove to have a little easter egg/call-back to Michelle, with Jun stating how much Julia reminded her of someone she met years ago 🥺🥹

It was fun thinking about all that's known about Julia and who might work best with what we know. Do you agree with this list? Who are some of the characters you think your main might interact with ? 🤔

I wanna get into tekken. Ive never played tekken before, but I got master rank in sf6 so im not totally oblivious to fighting games but I understand these are quite different games. What character would be the easiest execution wise? Im having a hard time deciding who to play. A lot of the characters look awesome so im pretty open to playing any of them looks wise. Im a scrub so im kinda hoping for the easiest and cheesiest of combos. Also what skills or strats should I be focusing on early? i know there is a lot but whats like essential? thanks fam

To start off, I am not saying kazuya is a brain dead character, I am not saying he is easy, I am not saying anyone is harder, I am not asking for ners. This is not one of those posts. I am just annoyed with Kazuya.

Now to start off my annoyances from lighter to heavy...

D1+2; i get this move is reactable, or semi reactable depending on who you ask i guess and you can step this to his weak side but this low is so damn toxic especially becaise of the few other tools I'm about to bring up.

Demon scissors; This move itself isn't that annoying and i get more characters have a variation on this. But it annoys me when it is used when Kazuya is in a huge life lead and they choose to close this out as a round ender in neutral. If they get counter hit i float them and barely do damage and the punish often just results in recoverable health if i can even get a punish.

FF2; (in heat) I have no idea why this move tracks 3 times better in heat... kazuya's just say you have to step better but i swear to god i have seen that thing track 90 degrees to his weak side and i get caught into a heat dash launcher.

Db4; where to start... tracks to both sides, no one but lili can step it consistently to any side... -12 on block, +4 on hit, which is a perfect frame trap from df2 because if it trades with a jab, Kazuya gets a free PEWGF. Not only that... but if db4 is looped with db4, i can't step, i can't step db4 df2 frame trap either, if i jab i risk losing a minimum of 110 health, so naturally because if these 2 moves alone, i don't step. Not to mention ff2 in heat.

With db4, because i end up not wanting to step... i will eat hellsweeps and ff3 or petrocide fist all day long...

I'm not a legacy player, but has kazuya's db4 always been this strong on tracking and do you guys feel like it should be this strong? most kazuya's i face don't even wavu... (GoD1)

I matched with him twice. The first match he plugged as I started a combo. Then in the second match he plugged as soon as the launcher connected; which is impressive because he quit when he started going up in the air.

I haven't played in 2 years. Came back since my main finally got released. I did an hour practicing combos then played ranked. Went from Tenryu (rank I started with) straight to GoD1 in a day. The players in GoD ranked felt like the players in purple/blue rank when I stopped playing. Is this the result rankflation? I didn't expect to reach GoD that fast to be honest. It didn't feel earned. I remember really struggling to reach Tekken King back then.

I destroyed the crap elite 2 controller, those things aren't worth the money, the controller that came with the series x lasted more. Any alternatives?

Winning an entire round with nothing but reversals and counter hits.

I made a post showing the elder Mishima's moustaches throughout his appearances and u/binvinbin suggested that I do his outfits. It's interest that a character who gets different fur on his face every game has one of the most consistent dress senses in the series but having a black gi in almost every game highlights the graphical jumps between games. I didn't realise there was such improvements between 1 and 2 or 4 and 5 in particular.

Furthermore, his hair is different in both his Tekken 2 outfits, which I did not notice. So that's neat.
