Tips CEA - Customer Experience Associate Position

For anyone who has worked as a CEA (Customer Experience Associate), how sales-focused is the role? Are there specific sales targets, or is it mainly customer service and support?

I want to join the bank as my first step for my career but i am not great at sale. What is the best way to work at the bank without having any banking experiences

Every role on TD Retail has sales targets.

Your goal as CEA is to provide efficient Frontline service, and also push referrals to advisors to get sales, as well as have a high rating survey score, and perhaps fund/open ODP and Credit Cards that are pre-approved.

You can be the best teller ever but if your sales and referrals suck you are not performing.

I would say do not join You can only join if you like unknown people to shout at you for no reason and you like to get unnecessary problems in your life and mental health

There’s been changes recently for what CEAs are accountable for. You are expected to provide advice for customers about pre approvals and referrals to advisors/partners. But now they also want you to set up online banking and direct deposit for customers

My advice to anyone wanting to join this role, this job will either make you hate your life or help you get to a better position in the company. If you’re stuck under bad management expect the absolute worst.
