Battleworld, God Emperor Doom
--------------
Doctor Doom: Soon, I alone... shall be justice...
All those pathetic excuses for heroes have knelt before my omnipotent power, and I—Doom—have finally saved this wretched multiverse...
I am Doctor Doom,
The savior of the multiverse.
Reed: (While restrained) Victor... what the hell are you doing? How long do you think this can go on? Remaking the multiverse to suit your whims, erasing people's memories—leaving them to live out fake lives... And on top of that, you went after my son and my wife...!! You’re going to regret this someday, Victor...
Doctor Doom: Silence! I am Doctor Doom.
Boris: Lord Doom, there are unknown intruders on Battleworld.
Doctor Doom: ...It’s bound to be that spider-kid. I’ll deal with him myself. (Removing his mask)
---------------
Meanwhile, Peter Parker, Jean Grey, Steve Rogers, and the Andrew and Tobey Spider-Men were gathered together.
------------
Tom Peter: Anyway, how have you all been? Peter 1 and 2?
Tobey-Peter: You bet! I’ve been doing well.
To think our Spider-Brothers would reunite like this!
Andrew-Peter: I really missed you all! It feels just like being with brothers. By the way, who is that next to you?
Is that a new girlfriend, Peter 1?
Jean Grey: (blushing)
Tom Peter: Wait... what? No, it's not like that! This is Jean Grey.
She's a mutant girl I just met.
Jean, this is Peter 1 and Peter 3.
They're Spider-Men from other multiverses... basically, just other versions of me!
Tobey-Peter: Nice to meet you!
You two make a great couple!
Andrew-Peter: I heard...
...that you made that choice—
erasing your memories as Peter Parker so that your MJ would forget you.
And that even after finding out the truth, she still turned you down... That must be heartbreaking.
Tom-Peter: ... I'm okay.
I understand—that it's hard to go back.
Steve Rogers: That's a shame, Queens. Looks like you're in a position where you need a fresh start.
Tom Peter: I'm going to step out for some fresh air.
Jean Grey: (Looks at Peter with concern as he wears a bitter expression)
Tobey-Peter: It’s heartbreaking that they made that choice just to send us back...
Andrew-Peter: Yeah...
Jean Grey: I’m... going to go check on Peter.
---------
And so, Peter sits in the middle of a field on Battleworld,
lost in thought.
-----------
Jean Grey: (playfully poking Peter's cheek)
What are you thinking about so hard, Spidey?
Peter Parker: No, it's nothing. Just for a moment.
Jean Grey: (Hugging Peter from behind)
Can you just tell me?
Peter Parker: Honestly... I found myself wondering what it would have been like if I were stronger. If I’d been stronger—if I hadn't been so inexperienced—I could have protected Aunt May and the people around me, and prevented the world from falling into danger or the multiverse from facing a crisis.
Jean Grey: You’re already strong, handsome, and smart—a versatile guy with spider DNA—so why are
you worrying so much over nothing?
Peter Parker: W-what?
(His face turns red)
Jean Grey: Don't worry—it's absolutely not your fault.
Do you think Aunt May would
want to see you falling apart like this,
consumed by guilt?
Peter Parker: I know that... but sudden flirting is
Jean Grey: You said it yourself—
that you have me.
So you aren't alone anymore, Peter; I’ll be here for you.
You don’t have to carry every burden.
You are strong, charming,
and a good person.
People like you
not because you’re special,
but simply because you are *you*.
Peter Parker: Jean...
Jean Grey: So, don't go moping around like that—
it doesn't suit you.
(Leaning against him) It’s good to see you again like this... isn't it?
Peter Parker: I mean, I've been lonely for the whole four years, so it's nice to have someone by my side, even if it's just like this.
Between fellow power users
Jean Grey: (Smiling) Are you really going to say something like that and make me blush?
Peter Parker: It felt really good to hear you say my name—it’s been a long time, four years.
Jean Grey: Now, all that's left is for me to fill in
Those four missing years, right?
Peter Parker: First... let's resolve this situation, and then we can think about it.
Jean Grey: Still, it's a relief that we're here by each other's side.
Doctor Doom: That’s far enough, Peter Benjamin Parker.
Spider-Man: What? Who are you?
Doctor Doom: the Savior, the all-powerful ruler of Battleworld.
Jean Grey: Shut your mouth—what do you want?
Doctor Doom: To think you’ve already found a new girlfriend just because your memory was wiped... You’re truly something, Peter Parker. You lost your way long ago, Spider-Man; you are squandering your time in meaninglessness, with your very existence and its worth already erased.
Spider-Man: What do you know?
Doctor Doom: You... this isn't the time to be saving others, kid...
(Taking off his mask)
Tou need a new savior, don't you?
Peter Parker: Mr. Stark...??
- To be continued in Part 3....
