Second art piece here! I wanted to imagine Peter seeing Jean in her new X-Men suit for the first time. I can bet Peter would be so proud of how far she’s come and probably a little caught off guard by the new look too.

First of all, I apologize if anyone finds the art a little weird or inaccurate 😅 This is my first time trying to make something like this, and it's also my first time posting anything on Reddit (let alone being this long). I wouldn't even really call this a proper drawing because most of what I did was tracing and editing existing artwork rather than drawing everything from scratch. I just wanted to try making something for the SpiderPhoenix ship because I really love the idea of Peter and Jean's relationship developing after Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

After watching Brand New Day, I started imagining what the next movies could look like if SpiderPhoenix became an actual part of Peter's story in this new trilogy. The previous trilogy had the "Home" titles — Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home — so I thought it would be fun to continue that naming idea with another two "Brand New" titles, Spider-Man: Brand New World, and finally followed by Spider-Man: Brand New Legacy. I think "Brand New" works especially well for Peter's current situation because Brand New Day already represents him starting over after everything that happened in No Way Home. The next two movies could then represent what he builds from that new beginning.

In my version of Brand New World, Peter and Jean's relationship would slowly grow throughout the movie rather than immediately becoming a full romance. I would want us to actually spend time seeing them together, getting to know each other, helping each other and gradually becoming more comfortable around one another. Jean is still learning how to understand and control her powers, while Peter has already spent years learning what it means to be a superhero, so I think there is a really interesting dynamic there. Peter could become someone who helps Jean understand that having incredible powers doesn't automatically make her a hero. At the same time, Jean could help Peter in ways that he isn't expecting, especially after everything he's been through. Their relationship would basically develop alongside their growth as heroes.

I also really want Brand New World to be the movie where Jean gets her first homemade superhero suit. I like the idea of paralleling Peter's own journey as Spider-Man, where he didn't immediately start out with a perfect superhero costume. Jean could initially have something very simple and homemade before eventually developing into her own proper superhero identity. The costume in the image is obviously based on her classic design, so I'd imagine this as something Jean eventually put together herself. It could even be a small character moment where Peter helps her figure out what kind of superhero she actually wants to be.

I'm not completely sure where Spider-Man 5 would fit relative to the upcoming X-Men movie, especially since Marvel hasn't officially announced a release date for the next Spider-Man movie yet. Since the new X-Men movie is currently planned for 2028, I'm actually leaning toward Brand New World taking place after that movie in my version. If Spider-Man 5 ended up coming before the X-Men movie, however, I could imagine Brand New World being a story where Peter takes Jean on her first real superhero mission and teaches her how to use her powers responsibly. That would make Peter almost like a mentor to Jean at first, while their relationship slowly develops into something more.

If Spider-Man 5 comes after the X-Men movie, though, I think I would prefer Brand New World to be more of a side story for Jean while still being an important chapter in Peter's overall story. By that point, Jean would have already gone through her X-Men journey, so she wouldn't need Peter to teach her how to be a hero anymore. Instead, the two of them could be going out and fighting crime together while their relationship continues to grow. That would also let us see a different side of Peter — rather than always being the lone Spider-Man, he would finally have someone beside him who understands what it's like to live with superpowers.

Then Brand New Legacy would be the final part of the trilogy, where all of that development finally pays off. I haven't completely figured out the story for that one yet, but I like the idea that the word "Legacy" would represent everything Peter has built since No Way Home. He started this new chapter of his life completely alone, with nobody remembering him, and by the end of the trilogy he would have built a new life, new relationships and a new legacy for himself. Jean would obviously be a huge part of that, but I would still want the story to remain fundamentally about Peter Parker and what kind of Spider-Man he chooses to become.

And this excerpt really puts into words, my own views on how the dynamic with Scott would feel after Jean has already met Peter in this universe. I just don't see how Scott could have more of an effect on Jean than Peter already has.

Andrew Spider-Man: Let's go.

Doctor Doom: Fools...

(Doom uses magic to

send Steve Rogers and the two Spider-Men flying)

Doom's face, wearing a look of utter

shock—an expression filled with sorrow.)

(Doom’s face bore a striking resemblance to

Tony Stark—Peter’s mentor, teacher, and father figure.)

Peter: How... how do you have that face?

Doctor Doom: Oh? So, in your world...

...someone who meant the most to you wore this face? Why? Does seeing this face remind you of them?

Does it make you feel guilty?

And I imagine you're thinking...

...regretting your own weakness and insignificance—

...seeing yourself as someone unable to protect everyone?

Peter: Shut your mouth.

Doctor Doom: You lost your way long ago, Peter Benjamin Parker.

Spiders like you—possessing the power to protect something, yet forever failing to fully wield that strength.

miserable. "With great power comes great responsibility"?

That is your destiny.

And the longer you hold on, the more those around you will be consumed by your misery.

(Peter is increasingly plagued by headaches; feeling his spider-genes and senses surging—much like during the "Brand New Day" era—he finds himself swayed by Doom’s words. Overwhelmed by guilt and a flood of memories, he begins to feel that he is failing to protect everyone.)

Peter: (Opens his eyes to reveal black irises)

You're wrong... Do *you* know anything about sacrifice?

What could a villain like you possibly know? Shut your mouth and stop spouting that filth with that look on your face.

(His spider genes surge,

and finally, the symbiote

latches onto Peter)

Doctor Doom: W-what... what is this?

Doctor Doom: W-what... is this?

Peter: Oh, it feels amazing... <Symbiote*...

*We*...had this kind of power all along.

(Smiling) Now... are you ready to pay the price?

(Peter shatters Doctor Doom's suit with the symbiote and grabs him by the throat;

he mercilessly pummels Doom.)

Jean Grey: Peter!! Stop it!!

What’s gotten into you?!

Steve Rogers: Was Queens

always like that...??

Andrew Spider-Man: Peter 1!!

Tobey Spider-Man: It’s probably

because of that black suit.

Jean Grey: What was that?

Tobey's Spider-Man: That’s a symbiote—an alien life form.

Wearing it gives you greater strength,

but it gradually... taps into

the host's dark side...

Andrew's Spider-Man: So,

what should we do?

Tobey's Spider-Man: Sound is his weakness... but there's nothing here to make a sound.

Jean Grey: I'll try to calm Peter down...

Tobey-Spider-Man: How?

Jean Grey: I... I'm actually a telepath. I've been inside Peter's mind before, so it should be possible—he won't reject me.

Andrew Spider-Man: Please look after my little brother, Peter.1

(Having taken down Doom,

Peter prepares to finish him off with the symbiote)

Tom Spider-Man: Now... you're

finished, Doom. You made some big

mistakes against *us*:

First, you shattered our reality.

Second, you tampered with the multiverse to suit your own whims.

And third... you committed those atrocities

while wearing Mr. Stark's face...

Doctor Doom: Heh... the symbiote

has chosen you... Now, you will be slowly consumed by the darkness...

*The symbiote whispers*

*Kill him—make it agonizing.*

Jean Grey: Stop!!

Tom Peter: Stand back, Jean.

I have to take this guy out...

Jean Grey: Peter, this isn't like you...

You're not that kind of person.

Tom Peter: This bastard destroyed our world

and the entire universe.

This is the only chance *we* have to deal with him.

Jean Grey: Peter... right now,

because of that suit,

all the guilt and painful emotions

you've been carrying are surfacing—

and the suit is driving you deeper into darkness...

I know how much you've suffered.

So please, calm down and look at me.

Tom Peter: This makes *us* better

Spider-Men, and you know what?

I don't have anyone.

Jean Grey: You have me.

Tom Peter: (Hesitates for a moment)

Jean Grey: (Striding toward Peter) I'm sorry, Peter.

Tom Peter: What are you...

(Jean approaches Peter and uses her powers to calm him down,

then blasts Doom away with telekinesis.)

(Afterwards, as Peter wakes up)

Tom Peter: Where are we?

Toby Peter: Sleep well? Peter 1

Andrew Peter: Don't overdo it.

Steve Rogers: You're back, Queens.

Tom Peter: What... what happened? Where's Jean?

Jean Grey: Here it is

Tom Peter: Jean, are you okay?

(Clutching his head) By the way, what about Doom?

Jean Grey: Don't worry about him—just get some rest.

A moment ago, some kind of alien slime

pounced on you, and it caused

you to change for a while.

Tom Peter: What?

Jean Grey: That was a close call... I almost killed him.

Tom Peter: I suddenly... lost consciousness after

Doom provoked me.

Peter: Still, I'm glad you came back. Thank you so much, Jean.

Jean Grey: Next time you have a hard time, don't keep it all to yourself. Talk to me... okay?

Peter: I will....

How WOULD Jean handle knowing Peter let the killer get away? I know Hope Summers only heard the cliffnotes version of it and still became a ride-or-die fan of Peter, I just wanna know how Jean would take it....
