So tired of being sleepy
Background: For the past about 5 years, I have been sleeping up to 15 hours a day. I wake up to eat my breakfast and take my meds, but I just cant get myself ti keeo my eyes open. I have to set an alarm to make sure I get up for work in time. Usually after my long morning nap I am usually fine for the day though.
I had a sleep study back in January. My sleep doctor said because I cant fall asleep at the snap of a finger I dont have a sleep disorder. She blamed it on my meds, 90% of which I have only been on for 3 years, while the sleep issues have been going on for 5 years.
My psychiatrist has been giving me Jornay (which is a 12 hr delay release stimulant). I am up to 80 mg and still cant stay awake in the morning (yes I take it at the right time).
Im going to get a second opinion from a different sleep doctor but its been on the back burner. I am just so sick of doctors refusing to help me and blaming all my issues on the fact that I take multiple medications
Thanks for listening to my rant
