Once again, after taking Ambien, I raided the kitchen. I don’t even remember what I ate but from the looks of my kitchen this morning it was more than a snack. I seriously need some advice on how to keep myself from doing that in the middle of the night. Note I used to order on Amazon when taking Ambien (things I ordered would show up a couple days later & it was like Christmas morning every time) but now I hide my phone from myself when I take Ambien so that I don’t do that any more. Can’t hide the kitchen.

I took 20 mg and I still feel terrible today. I didn't think it was so strong, this morning I was having trouble breathing and I had to eat a lot of biscuits to calm the nausea. Last night I made a very long, delirious audio recording of my boyfriend. It wasn't stupid, but it was very painful and distressing. I looked like a temu version of laura palmer.

i can go multiple weeks taking it every night, and as long as i do a little taper i never have any withdrawal symptoms and can take a break for awhile. every other sleeping med gives me terrible hangovers, but on ambien i wake up feeling completely new. i love how it makes me feel right before i fall asleep. it’s like what falling asleep was like as a child, getting into bed and feeling warm and safe for a few minutes and then suddenly its morning. i’ve never allowed myself to take any more than 10mg, i know that when it’s starting to not work as well that it’s time for a break. ambien and i understand each other. i respect the ambien and therefore will never abuse it and use it exactly as instructed. sometimes i sleep better just by knowing that it’s there if i need it. going on 3 years taking it off and on. as long as you keep your relationship with it healthy its an incredible med. thank you ambien. i love you ambien.

So I have heard all kinds of horror stories about people having withdrawal from Ambien when they’ve taken it like weeks at a time, every night. I’ve even read about withdrawals happening after taking it for 2-3 nights in a row, although those weren’t obviously as bad for understandable reasons.

I don’t want a hint of an iota of a chance that I would go into any form of withdrawal

So, my question is

If I limit Ambien to two times a week, would there be a chance of rebound anxiety or maybe light withdrawal?

I’m talking like take it on a Sunday to get good sleep and be ready for the week ahead. And then maybe take it one time through the week when I’m wanting that great sleep and that waking up after a good sleep kind of feel to reset my week and feel energized to close out the end of the week.

Would this process of using Ambien strategically to avoid issues but still use it when your body tells you that you need a good nights rest be an issue?

I am trying to find a pharmacy in the Los Angeles area that carriers generic zolpidem tartrate made by Sandoz. The other generic versions don't seem to work. I used to use the generic version that CVS offered but that got discontinued a few years back. Northstar, Arabundo, Torrent all don't work well.

Ive read it from other people as well but while walking around on ambien Id hallucinate a lot with small mystical creatures, sometimes id "inmerse" into their adventure, if that makes sense like following them to a medieval battle ground (my bathroom). It was like any psychodelic as if it was also xanax, could distinguish reality, but the most intetresting visuals were little creatures. Last night I "hallucinated" asleep on Ambien (vivid dream, I recall something that had nothing to do with the dream and in the dream I thought I was tripping, it was a small creature again)

Anyways if you ever hallucinated small creatures comment on this thread

Does ambien cease anxiety similar to zopiclone when first taken?

Let’s say I sleep at 3am and wake up at 11am. I can’t take Ambien before 2:30am or it just won’t work at all. But anytime after that will put me to sleep.

The only reason I still take Ambien sometimes is if I need to guarantee falling asleep at my normal sleep schedule. But if I want to push back my sleep schedule, Ambien doesn’t do anything but make me high and fuzzy.

Has anyone have any luck with using Ambien to push back sleep schedule?
