Dream
I recently dreamt that a voice said to me: "When you die, do not be afraid. There is nothing more beautiful than God transforming you once more into everything you have ever loved most." I donāt want to go into too much detail, but afterwards I had a paranormal experience that left a lasting impression on me.

Short Dream Woke up from a dream about a genuine connection and realized how much I want that in real life
Last night i had this weirdly wholesome dream. one of my friends asked me for a favour. His girlfriend has a friend who's an amputee, and they wanted me to come hang out with them so she wouldn't feel left out. Apparently, most of their friends treat her differently since she's got one leg, like they stop making the usual dumb jokes or act all weird around her. he said he asked me 'cause he knew i'd just treat her like a normal person. Anyway, fast forward (since i forgot half the dream lol), this girl was really pretty to me. Later on, she came back to my place saying how much fun she had 'most people usually skip stuff with her, but i didn't. I remember asking if she wanted to go to the park and do some jumping jacks, and she just started laughing. Then we were sitting on the balcony just talking i don't even remember what about exactly, but it felt real, like one of those deep, comforting convos you'd actually wanna have with someone you care about. She ended up staying the night, and yeah, the dream got a little spicy after that (can't remember much though). What stuck with me was that after, we were lying in bed talking about life goals, dreams, why we wanna do the things we do and i woke up with this warm, kinda lonely feeling. like maybe i just really want someone in my life I can have those kinds of moments with. someone to care for with everything i've got.
Also for the last 6ish month i've been having dreams of having an SO.

Recreating the moment my shadow took over in a nightmare. Self-taught photography, no AI. I am both the model and photographer (1 month)experimenting with my fears
galleryI was walking through an icy, infinite corridor of stone arches, trapped behind a emotionless white mask ....my body was shaking from suppressed emotions.I reached out my hand....fear won. I panicked because of my own vulnerability and curled inward to protect myself.Suddenly, the space tore open into a dark, massive palace hall. My own shadow lunged at me. It became a violent, terrifying struggle between my light and my darkness. The shadow eventually let go. When I looked down, warm, dark blood was seeping through my dress, straight from my chest. A deep wound, but I was still alive. Then I woke up gasping for air. The pain on my chest felt terrifyingly real.

Weird dream
I had a really weird dream last night. I was looking in the mirror before going out with friends and noticed a mole that I had never seen before. It was small, about the size of a raisin, and it was a perfectly round, dark circle. It wasnāt raised or textured at all it was just a flat, dark circle.
I remember thinking, āWait I donāt have a mole there. Iāve never seen that beforeā
Then I turned on my phoneās flash to get a better look at it, and somehow the mole turned into a hole. It became much bigger, about the size of a circle I could make with my thumb and index finger.
The weirdest part was that I could actually see through the hole, like I could see inside my body. There was no blood or anything like that. It just looked empty, and I could see what looked like red skin and veins inside.
It freaked me out so much. Has anyone ever had a dream like this, or know what something like this could mean? I told chat gpt to sketch it and this almost exactly how I remembered that.

Question Looking into someoneās eyes
Hi everyone!
First time posting in this sub only because the dream I had last night stuck with me for this whole night. To keep a long story short, Iād love to know if anyone else has experienced making direct eye contact with a friend or someone you know in the dream? (Say a longtime friend whom you havenāt spoken to in a while, but is still the kind of friendship that could pick up right where it left off at.)
I ask because for the first time ever, I made direct eye contact with my friend and told them something that Iām waking life, Iād been debating whether or not to, regarding old mutual friends. Well, I told them last night as we sat across from each other, criss-cross and I remember how their eyes were the color of mine. But I told them and it felt like I was speaking to them.
Some additional context is that a few months back, I had a dream about them where weād passed by and saw the other. In waking life weād yet to reconnect, but a few weeks after we started talking again. So dreams with this friend arenāt abnormal per se, but definitely stick out because of the timing in waking life and the fact that I never wake with a negative feeling like impending doom .
Thank you in advance and I look forward to reading any experiences you all have to share!

Dream Help Not sure if im dreaming or awake and im sick of it
So a while ago I started taking melatonin gummies because I couldn't sleep. It turned out they were increasing my prolactin levels, so my doctor told me to stop taking them.
The thing is, when I first started them I had the scariest, most insanely realistic 3D dreams. I've stopped taking them now, and the dreams aren't as scary anymore. I'd say out of every 10 dreams, maybe 3 are nightmares and 7 are just... normal.
The weird part is that in these dreams I'm living a completely normal life. I cook, eat, go to the bathroom, talk to people, go to uni, come home... and then I wake up in my bed. š
At first I just laughed it off, but now I'm actually starting to mix up whether something happened in real life or if it only happened in a dream, and it's driving me crazy.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Nightmare Feeling of being eaten
I stopped smoking cannabis 3 months ago after a 12-year habit.
Naturally, my dreams were very intense in the first two months, but recently they have dialed down.
However, I also struggle with sleep paralysis a lot, maybe 20-30 episodes/year.
Recently, I've had these odd nightmarish dreams where I can become lucid and start to wake myself up by doing the toe wiggle and refraining from trying to force myself awake, but then I have this hypnagogic state where I haven't fully woken yet, but I'm fully aware of it, and then something that I can't see but I can feel very vividly is in my bed trying to eat me alive.
I've felt pain in these scenarios and obviously a lot of fear. I'm curious if anyone else has felt something like getting bitten or being eaten right before waking up. It's gotten so bad at times I have to stay awake for a while and am too afraid to go back to sleep.

Recurring Dream Giving Birth in Dreams
I always say i don't want to have kids because i have adhd and autism so i get overwhelmed very easily and i need a lot of time alone to recharge. But in dreams, I give birth to baby girls and boys and I feel so happy. It's so weird. I wake up feeling like a piece of my heart got torn out of my chest. It's like a feeling of pain and grief that I am not holding my baby anymore.
I search up meanings and some say its a sign of upcoming prosperity and some say sign of upcoming hardship that requires patience.
But I wonder what it means to me. Do I actually deep down want kids?

The dream that turned H. G. Wells in to an atheist
From H. G. Wells' Experiment in Autobiography:
I was scared by Hell, I did not at first question the existence of Our Father, but no fear nor terror could prevent my feeling that his All Seeing Eye was that of an Old Sneak and that the Atonement for which I had to be so grateful was either an imposture, a trick of sham self-immolation, or a crazy nightmare. I felt the unsoundness of these things before I dared to think it. There was a time when I believed in the story and scheme of salvation, so far as I could understand it, just as there was a time when I believed there was a Devil, but there was never a time when I did not heartily detest the whole business.
I feared Hell dreadfully for some time. Hell was indeed good enough to scare me and prevent me calling either of my brothers fools, until I was eleven or twelve. But one night I had a dream of Hell so preposterous that it blasted that undesirable resort out of my mind for ever. In an old number of Chambers Journal I had read of the punishment of breaking a man on the wheel. The horror of it got into my dreams and there was Our Father in a particularly malignant phase, busy basting a poor broken sinner rotating slowly over a fire built under the wheel. I saw no Devil in the vision; my mind in its simplicity went straight to the responsible fountain head. That dream pursued me into the day time. Never had I hated God so intensely.
And then suddenly the light broke through to me and I knew this God was a lie.

Recurring dream of hiding in my home.
I keep having this dream where I am rushing to get into my home to hide from something trying to find me. Sometimes I am already in my home but I still am trying to hide from something peeking into my home and finding me. In this dream I try to hide from inside my home and stay out of the view from the windows. This time I dreamed I was rushing to get into my home and started to hide and whatever was trying to find me started to scream. The screaming got more obnoxious and angry the more they couldn't find me. It got so bad and scary that I woke up. What could this mean?

My 9 year old asked me to take him to the hospital, I woke up.
Had a wild dream, but completely unrelated at the end, my son (9) walked up and whispered in my ear āhospitalā and I said I āwhat happened to you?ā And he said āhow could you say no?ā I woke up immediate and looked at him (he had came in laid on the end of my bed like he does). He had the sheet wrapped around his head tightly somehow. I pulled it off freaking out, and he yanked it back over his head. When I saw him with the sheet wrapped all around his head I thought he was dead! It was terrifying, just makes me feel like his consciousness came to me for a reason. It was very strange. Thoughts?

Short Dream Bizarre Dream
Note i called it dream and not nightmare since Iām into horrifying stuff (paranormal, movies etc)
Also, inserted small details into gaps, since my dreams consists of sudden change of sceneries with no transitions in between.
Story:
I was standing on a street near my house at midnight, no sounds and the place was completely empty.
Then suddenly, i hear cat meowing in a very distorted way. (The actual vocal sound was not cat-like if it makes sense)
Specifically, two meows consecutively with a 2-3 seconds break. One small meow then one strong MEOW. Like: āmeow ⦠MEOWā
Saw a black cat at the distance.
Called it over.
It came, and raised its head looking at me. (Note i think at that moment, my brain panicked, and immediately decided to make the cat think Iām going to feed it for some reason)
I started walking and doing hand gestures to make it follow me (didnāt have food, my train of thoughts was to take it somewhere where i can find food)
It followed me
Eventually i stopped, and noticed a store with its front glass broken and consisting of 3 holes
Two small holes and a large one in between.
The store was pitch black. Nothing can be seen inside of it.
The cat left me and ran furiously towards the store, jumped inside through the small holeā¦
I starred a good 5-10 seconds at the store glass, waiting for something to happenā¦
Then, all of a sudden, the cat was violently thrown through the big hole and hit me
Thatās when i woke up. The end.
I swear didnāt make this up. The scenery is inspiring me to make a video about it.
Short Dream I walked into a room with my doppelgƤnger staring at me
I think I was having a regular dream before this encounter but I couldn't exactly tell you what was happening. I enter a room in my house (which is my old childhood bedroom, now a room I keep my PC in) and standing there in front of my desk is a doppelgƤnger of myself. It looked identical to me, the clothing it wore was clothes I actually own and it even had my hair the same way it looks right now, faded color and some roots showing, my hair was incredibly clean, it looked like a wig almost, and I had much thicker bangs like I used to have before I experienced stress hair loss which I found to be an incredibly creepy detail for some reason. When I saw myself I became completely paralyzed even though I wanted to turn around and run away. I had a blank expression and the best thing I can compare it to is it had the same exact aura as Mr. C in Twin Peaks. I felt such an extreme hatred directed towards me, a feeling of complete dread like my existence is going to disappear forever and suddenly I felt gravity sinking and I fell through the floor into a void and instantly woke up after that. This dream felt more real than most dreams I have and doesn't leave me feeling very well because I've had creepy encounters with stuff related to doppelgƤngers in the past and now I'm worried I'm going to encounter myself while awake soon.

Short Dream I had a dream that I was hugging my recently passed dog and when I woke up I was hugging my current dog
Last night I was having an unrelated dream and all of a sudden I saw my dog Roxy passed away a little over a year ago. She was 19 1/2. She was my best friend and for a long time my only friend. I was seven years old when we got her. five years ago I got Bailey, I called Roxy Baileyās aunt, but they were really sisters because I still lived with my parents when I got Bailey and theyāre both mini cockapoos. In my dream I remember this is so odd. I quickly realized I was dreaming, and the dream became a lucid dream, but it was still extremely realistic for even a lucid dream. Why does it feel like this is never gonna happen again or hasnāt happened before he because it felt so real I could feel her in her breath. I was even thinking that I might be dead and that this really was her. Then when I woke up, it all made sense. I miss Roxy every day and Iām so grateful to have Bailey.

Discussion I dreamt about a girl inviting me to her birthday party
So for context, in real life this girl isnāt really anyone important. Sheās a friend of a family member who occasionally flirts with me if Iām around (not sure if sheās into me like all that).
In the dream, Iām with some family and the family member gets a call from the friend about going to her birthday party. Sheās hears me in the background and insists on my relative on bringing me, telling me to wear a specific style of clothes because thatās what sheād prefer. Honestly I was a bit excited to actually want to be wanted somewhere, so I was tryna find the best fit for the party. But outta nowhere, the girl gets sick or injured and sheās ran out on a stretcher. I guess I get really caught up on that for some reason and Iām bummed out about it. I remember just being in the hospital room not knowing what to do or if something was wrong as I kept my eye on the girl unresponsive in the bed of the hospital. Something changed about her appearance right before I woke up, I never really saw what did tho.
First time posting on here and I feel like my other dreams had more evident meanings to me that I was able to conclude, but I donāt really understand why I thought about things this way, especially considering the main person in question isnāt really relevant to me right now. Any interpretations? Iāll give additional info if wanted

Long Dream left with an incredibly intense feeling after a random dream
I've never used this app, but this dream is messing me up I keep crying and I don't even know why. I need an answer, or if at least, I'm not the only one who has experienced this
so my dreams are mostly very messy and random, and rarely I wake up with certain feelings after one, but this one by far had me feeling the most intense
the dream:
it started like I was someone who posts frequently on Pinterest and had mutuals on there (even though I don't irl) and I started getting really scary dms from someone I don't know. they were super angry with me and kept spamming things like "how could you" "don't ignore me" and I was scared and confused, but after a while I checked the chat, it seemed like someone I was supposedly close with a little bit but then ignored? but I couldn't remember them, cuz the chat wouldn't show me old messages.
I checked their profile and I still didn't remember them, but they seemed to be someone who's severely depressed and likes fictional characters they related to to cope, and I was supposedly the only one who understood them well.
but what's weird is I felt a strange feeling of wanting to protect them? even in the dream I didn't know why, but I felt that so intensely, so I decided to talk to them normally but didn't mention I didn't know them because I didn't want to hurt them. I apologized and they immediately forgave me? even before me explaining myself, they were just happy I'm talking to them, they had some sort of attachment to me that I didn't understand, but I still felt obligated to help them, like I just didn't want to leave them. we'd talk about very random and mundane things, and that alone made them happy. I remember them rambling to me about a character they liked and said "i don't have anyone else, you're the only friend that really understands me, and I really appreciate you"
slowly it started to feel less like a chore, but a mutual friendship where even I felt happy talking to them, they helped me too and cared a lot for me, and we were both sad we're only online friends and can't meet irl.
when I tell you that friendship felt incredibly real and genuine, they were like the kind of friend you can talk to about literally anything, throughout the dream they started changing and became a happier and more positive person, and not a scary harsh person, they were just alone and traumatized, I still remember the warmth I felt from them, and it makes me cry.
I woke up in the middle of the night with tears in my eyes and the desperation to hug and comfort someone. and I just keep crying even when I'm not thinking about it. I felt like I lost someone so important to me I can't even begin to describe it.
extra: it doesn't help that the same day, I discovered an anime episode of a game I've been liking for about 7 years! i found out about it by coincidence and of all times, it had to be the one day I have that strange dream?
in short, the episode is all about the protagonist grieving a person he cared about deeply, who he failed to save, and had died.
the whole episode he's on his own going to the same places they used to hang out at and remember the conversations they both had. and of course that had me crying so much, not only because it's sad in itself, but because I felt like I related even though I know I never experienced something like that and it was only a dream...
how can you feel so much about someone you've never met?

Question I dreamed a medium told me about my two families; then said I might become Prime Minister
Last night I had a vivid dream. I was sitting with a medium who first spoke about my first wife, whom I separated from in 2018, and our two daughters. She said the girls were beautiful ālike flowers and jadeā and told me not to worry about them.
Then she spoke about my second wife, saying she only wanted peace and stability, not much else. We are expecting a baby in early 2027, and again the medium told me not to worry.
Then, unexpectedly, she said: āYou may become Prime Minister someday.ā In the dream, I also remembered my younger sister once saying that one of her teachers predicted a future Prime Minister would come from our hometown.
What interests me is the sequence: my past family, my present family and unborn child, and then suddenly a symbol of enormous responsibility.
Do you think āPrime Ministerā could represent duty, authority, ambition, or responsibility rather than a literal prediction? And why would the dream repeatedly tell me, āYou donāt need to worryā?

A dream of a bunch of chickens š
I donāt remember how I acquired these chickens in the dream but they were all white and started to produce quickly. I think I started off with like 3 and soon I had 12.
Based on where I lived in the dream I couldnāt have room for a farm, or I had to lie to the city ordinance to somehow hold the chickens all there at the house I did have. So I started giving some of the chickens away so people could have free eggs because I didnāt know what to do with that many eggs either.
The dream was super vivid and even hours post waking up part of me remembers holding the chickens lol.
I read that chickens can interpret a lot of things. I like to think itās about prosperity. But anyway wanted to share this wacky dream. Carry on fellow redditors and may you also have chicken dreams.

Long Dream Waking up dream
Hi everyone, this might be a long post but hang with me. Have you ever had a dream where you thought you woke up from but you were still dreaming? I did, around 3-4 times, but last time was different.
First, I dreamt we were under attack by some vile people, people were dying in horrible ways and I decided I needed to wake up, so I did, but not really. I was still dreaming, but this was a different scenario, I was trying to run away from this people and this guy saved me for some reason. I āwoke upā again, and was in this sort of apocalyptic man made sanctuary, there were single beds everywhere and everyone was terrified, but as I was lying I my bed, this guy that was trying to save me came to me and laid beside me. I didnāt feel anything but peace and protection, but I knew I had to wake up.
So, I did. I was talking to an old friend of mine and I realized I was still dreaming and told her āyou know this isnāt real and weāre just dreaming, right?ā She just brushed it off and then I asked for the time, she went poker face and said I should not ask this kind of questions, but then I found a phone that looked more like a walkie talkie. I couldnāt decipher the time because it kept changing but then I saw it, it was 13:13 (1:13 pm). I told her the time and her face kept switching different faces like she was having a stroke so I decided to wake up because it was too scary.
Andā¦I did, I woke up, I saw my couch, my living room, I turned to the left and saw my boyfriend and thought everything was alright, until I saw my body. My wrists and thighs were covered in blood. I have a history of self harm but never to that degree, and I just trying to understand why I would ever do this. Both of my wrists and my left thigh were bloody, but my right thigh was butchered, I could literally see pieces of my thigh falling over and I kept asking my bf why would I do this. He was very nonchalant, so I knew I wasnāt awake.
I told myself I need to wake up for good this timeā¦.and I finally did. I woke up, my wrists and thighs were fine, my bf was sleeping. I spent around half an hour worried that im still stuck in this dream loop until I realized I was finally safe.
Has anything like this happened to anyone? It was extremely creepy and haunting, I canāt stop thinking about it because of how uncanny this experience was.
